I stared at the elegant invitation in Seraphina's hands, my stomach twisting into knots. The embossed silver lettering seemed to mock me: "Silver Moon University Class Reunion."
"I don't know about this," I said, running my fingers over the edge of the coffee cup. The thought of seeing Rhys after four years made my heart race uncomfortably. "Is it really necessary to reopen old wounds?"
"Absolutely necessary," Seraphina insisted, placing the invitation on the table between us. "You've spent four years building this new life. Don't you think it's time to show everyone—including yourself—that you've moved on?"
Liam leaned forward. "You're not that shy omega anymore, El. You're successful, powerful, and confident. Walking into that reunion would be the ultimate victory."
I couldn't deny the appeal of that image—walking into the ballroom with my head held high, meeting Rhys's eyes without flinching. But fear still lurked beneath the surface.
