Chapter 5

He eyed me coldly as I packed my meager belongings, furrowing his brow. His tone was icy, carrying the weight of an alpha's authority.

"After the waning crescent moon, there's a joint hunt with all the packs. You're coming too."

He's dragging me along to play the trophy Luna again, but how could I possibly give him what he wants?

"You all go ahead. My soul hasn't fully recovered yet, so it's not convenient for me to go."

He glanced at me, then sneered, his powerful aura bearing down on me.

"You know I'm bringing Lyra, so you're throwing a tantrum, aren't you?"

I'm so done with this arrogant alpha. Who on earth gave him the delusion that I'd be jealous of him and Lyra?

"Isn't it better if I don't go? You and Lyra can be close without any reservations then."

I feigned ignorance about his current situation, carefully controlling my expression to look innocently clueless as I countered.

He was caught off guard by my retort, his expression darkening.
