Officer Jude

Mrs. Margaret had a horrified expressions on her face as she listened to what Officer Jude said.

After he was done speaking, Mrs. Margaret assaulted him with an avalanche of questions.

"Why were those hooligans following them?"

"Were any of the kids hurt?"

"Have those hooligans been identified and arrested?"

"Who were they?"

"Who sent them?"

She asked rapidly, barely giving him time to respond.

Officer Jude waited a while before answering.

"We don't know, but we believe they are robbers who want to rob an easy target,"

"No, none of the kids were hurt,"

"No they haven't, but we will get to the bottom of this,"

"We don't know yet,"

"We don't know," Officer Jude responded.

After asking more questions, the officers got ready to leave.

Before they could leave, Mrs. Margaret walked over to Officer Dave while handing something to him.

Officer Dave looked down and saw that Mrs. Margaret gave him some money.

"For your hospital bill. I broke your nose, it's only right that I pay for it," She said with a smile.

Officer Dave looked at the money in his hands before looking at Mrs. Margaret with a frown.

"Sorry, ma'am, I can't accept this," he said.

"What? Why?" Mrs. Margaret asked.

"You have already done enough for me; I will feel bad if I collected any compensation from you," Officer Dave said as he pushed the money back into Mrs. Margaret's hand.

Minutes passed by as the two bickered, each trying to push the money into the other's hands.

Casper, Officers Daniel and Jude looked awkwardly as they saw the two of them arguing.

"Should we stop them?" Officer Daniel asked.

"Yeah we should, this is getting too painful to watch," Casper said.

"Let them be," Officer Jude said.

"I won't accept the money," Officer Dave said.

"Sigh" Mrs. Margaret sighed as she realized that she had lost.

"You win this time," Mrs. Margaret said as she made her way to the kitchen.

After a minute she came back with three packed dishes. " You might have rejected my money, but you are not allowed to reject my food," she said.

Officer Dave wanted to reject the food but he decided against it.

"Thanks," Officer Dave said as he collected the food from Mrs. Margaret and then passed it to Officers Daniel and Jude.

"You're welcome," Mrs. Margaret said with a smile.

The officers said there goodbyes before going to the police car and driving away.

"She seems like a nice person, don't you think so?" Officer Dave asked in the police car.

"Yeah, she is," Officer Daniel nodded in agreement while Officer Jude just gave a shrug.

Back in the house, Mrs. Margaret let out a sigh of relief. " What a mess. Poor guy."

Her eyes wandered to Casper who was just silently watching her.

Her eyes softened on seeing him. She approached Casper and gave him a hug.

"What happened? I want to hear it from your mouth," despite already having heard what happened from Officer Jude, she still wanted to hear Casper speak.

Casper took in a cold breath through his teeth, exhaling, he began talking.

"So, that was what happened." Casper said.

"Oh my poor baby. I bet you guys were scared," she said with a soft tone, pulling him into a hug.

"Yeah, it was quite scary having people follow you," Casper said.

"Do you think they were sent by Mr. Dickson? No, no, no let me rephrase that – they were definitely sent by him," Mrs. Margaret said.

"Only God knows what he would have done to you guys if that police officer hadn't been there."

"I don't think it's him who sent those hooligans," Casper said.

"What do you mean?" Mrs. Margaret asked.

"Well, according to Henry, Mr. Dickson looks like someone who likes to do a clean and smooth job, so he wouldn't hire those hooligans." Casper said.

"If he wanted to take us out he would probably do it without us knowing what hit us."

"Makes sense I guess. But I'm not completely taking him out of my suspect list," she paused a moment before continuing.

"You guys should be careful, I don't want to lose any of you," she said referring to Casper and his friends.

Casper felt a warm sensation in his chest as he saw how his mother cared about him and his friends.

"Okay, mom," he said.

"Now go eat and get some sleep. I bet you're tired and famished from today's event," Mrs. Margaret said.

Casper nodded before making his way to the kitchen to get some food.

After eating, Casper went to have his bath.

After taking his bath, he went to his bed. Immediately his head hit the pillow he drifted into slumber.

"Brr! Brr! Brr! Brr!" The alarm clock rang out loudly.

"Ugh! Shut the fuck up you stupid alarm clock," Casper shouted with irritation in his voice.

"Brr! Brr! Brr! Brr!" The alarm clock continued ringing.

Casper used his pillow to cover his ears but it wasn't working, he could still hear the alarm clock loudly ringing out.

"Ugh! Okay... Okay I'm up, I'm up, shut the fuck up you stupid alarm," Casper shouted as he groggily went to switch off the alarm clock.

After switching off the alarm clock Casper went to take a shower.

'Is there any need taking a shower? I mean I took a bath before I slept, so I should be clean, right?' Casper mumbled to himself as he took his bath.

After taking his bath, he woke up Anny and also helped her take a bath.

Dressing her up, they went to the kitchen to have their breakfast.

"Good morning, mom," Casper said as he sat down on the dining table.

"Good morning, mom!" Anny shouted as she shot towards Mrs. Margaret and jumped into her embrace.

"Good morning sweethearts. How are you guys doing?" she asked.

"I'm fine mom. I had an interesting dream again," Anny said with excitement.

Her smile stretched from ear to ear.

"Oh! Another one of your amazing dreams?" Mrs. Margaret asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yep, it was really really amazing," Anny said with a squeal.

"Then hurry up and tell us about your dream," Mrs. Margaret said with a chuckle.

"So, I..." Anny started telling her stories.

Mrs. Margaret kept chuckling as she heard Anny recount her dream.

Casper shook his head. 'Why does Anny always have to have weird dreams? Why can't she just have a normal dream like a normal four-years-old?' Casper thought as he listened to Anny's weird dreams.

"So I punched the giant bug rats so hard they went flying away," Anny said.

'Giant bug rats? What the hell is that? And why does all her dreams have to be about fighting and violence? She's just a child,' Casper thought with a sigh.

Anny continued telling her dream.

"That is quite an interesting dream, Anny," Mrs. Margaret said.

"Yeah, it was. When I grow up I want to fight giant bug rats," Anny said.

Mrs. Margaret and Casper chuckled as they heard what Anny said.

After eating, Casper left home for school.

Casper and the crew met at the mana train station before boarding it for school.
