Ethan Reed, a 27-year-old, spent his nights deeply involved in the online game Aethelgard Online.
He'd played it for seven years, mastering its complex systems with many characters, even building a strong team of his strongest characters from different accounts, combined just for this mysterious event that popped out of nowhere.
This event contained a mysterious boss called, The Herald of Oblivion and with its legion, The Silent Extinction, began to destroy Aethelgard.
With no guides or strategies, Ethan was determined to be one of the first to beat this invasion.
Despite his efforts and skilled play, his team lost repeatedly. Frustrated but not defeated, he kept trying.
Then, during his last attempt, a crucial healing spell was slightly late, and his team was completely wiped out.
A loud, sharp noise exploded in his headphones, making his head hurt. He ripped off his headphones, and the game screen shattered not like glass, but like reality itself.
A sickly green screen appeared with the word "DEFEAT."
Below it, in red letters, it announced that Aethelgard had fallen to The Silent Extinction and The Herald of Oblivion won.
A hidden message flickered, mentioning "SERVER SHUTDOWN INITIATED... REALITY OVERRIDE..."
Ethan was in disbelief and anger. He hit his desk, refusing to accept the loss. But then, a deep, sad voice spoke directly into his mind, telling him, "Ethan Reed, I am giving you a chance. A chance to save my world in my stead. To save my people."
The green light from his monitor became blinding, and he felt a strong pull. He was sucked into the broken monitor, and everything went silent.
Now, suddenly thrust into a new reality and a strange body, what challenges will Ethan face? What new allies or enemies await him in this unfamiliar world, and can he truly save a place that was once just a game?
author here! you might have questions to what this book is about, and this is a non-spoilery of it. a 7 year player of an rpg game sucked into the it a few years before a catastrophic end happens. Woke up in a body of a character he doesn't recognize in the game with a very bad reputation. he decided to collect allies, get stronger and who knows what is in store for him. yes its'sa harem, romance heavy too in the early chapters, he gets a system too, as every isekai, transmigrated, or reincarnated mc. mc got traumas and trust issues but with a social skills of a genius. can maniupulate and gaslight. that's it for now! read to know more!
Read 5 chapters and can honesty say this was a very fun read. Good worldbuilding and atorytelling. No fouls for the grammer that i could see. I will defo read more
What an absolute legend !!! 🔥✨🔥✨ This is my general impression of the work as I read up to Chapter 4 which was the latest at the time of this review Ethan Reed is a smart, relatable and great MC who is about as skilled in academics as he is in gaming, with his hands as well as his tongue (tldr… um ok no spoilers)😛✨ Ok so I am clickbaiting a bit since there is no romance or lewdness for now, but still the author definitely knows how to give you a… ‘fun’ time ✨ I was a bit turned off by the first 🤢 transmigration scene at first but if you can overcome that the story would reward you😍 I particularly liked the Illustration Easter eggs that were placed throughout the story, what a creative and talented author!!! ✨ If you like games… then Why not give this book - and Ethan… a ‘Reed’?
I’m hooked on this MC, like what did he used to be like
It’s a 10/10 I absolutely loved this book from chapter 1-5 you’re only drawn into wanting more and more chapters 🫶🏽This is amazing well deserved Author, keep it up!
A good Variant of the Transmigration to a Jerk Noble troupe. I like that the Author did not rush the Transmigration and took his time explaining the back history. And also that the MC does not know everything about the character he has possessed. Till now, it has been a fun read with humour and anticipation for what the MC will do in the future about his GOOD reputation.
I genuinely love your book. This is the type of story that hooks me. It was an exciting start. The vivid descriptions, the interactions, it was interesting.
rlly enjoy the vibe. The novel have a seemingly good writing. Just a little more improvement and everything will be perfect. One more thing, I believe that the cover can be more attractive
Good novel. Charactet description is amazing and the pull to know more what will happen, just amazing. I will countinue to read, to see what will happen to him. 👍💯

Such an interesting novel, it's really captivating. Keep up the good work author.
peak novel the book just gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas on my work would have loved Aethelgard Override as the title
I liked the novel. Its concept isn’t exactly unique, but it’s not overly common either. The writing style is great in my opinion—it conveys emotions effectively, and the descriptions make it easy to visualize without relying on overly complex imagery that can sometimes make reading tedious. Everything about the writing and description feels well-crafted to me. As for the story, as I mentioned, it’s not entirely unique. It feels somewhat predictable from the start—unless there’s a surprise twist in the upcoming events. That’s what I’m really hoping for, to set this novel apart from others in its genre. Since the plot and events are the most important elements, I hope the author surprises us with something unexpected and special. One thing I wasn’t too happy with, to be honest, is the pacing. I find it slow. After five chapters, no major developments have occurred aside from entering the game—his identity is still unknown, and nothing big has happened yet. I understand the slow pacing is meant to add depth and detail gradually and build everything up perfectly, but as someone who enjoys excitement and suspense from the very first chapters, I find the slow pace a bit frustrating. That’s all. I wish you the best of luck and succes, author!
Really enjoying the story so far, liking the development and the characters are fresh! Which is nice for a change.
