The girls in class envied Olivia for finding such a handsome and generous boyfriend, while the guys were jealous of Ethan's wealth and boldness.


I knew all this was because Ethan thought he was about to get engaged to me and wanted to make it up to Olivia beforehand. The most ridiculous part was that all these expenses were paid by the supplementary card my father had given him.


The more I thought about it, the more despicable he seemed.


After class, my father called me. I thought he had noticed something off about Ethan and was calling to inquire about the situation.
