Chapter Seven: Unintended Confessions

A.D. stumbled, nearly falling to the ground, but managed to regain his balance just in time.

Outside the game, Lisa's voice filled the monitoring room. "A.D., are you okay?"

Inside, Shin, ever vigilant, moved immediately towards A.D. "Shin, no! I'm okay," A.D. said, waving him off. He then spoke into his comms. "Sharleen, it's almost 8 AM. Let's meet up with Suzi."

A.D., now in his cleaner's uniform, was in the lobby outside the washrooms, pushing a cleaning cart. He spotted Suzanne. "Sharleen, where are you? She's here."

"I'm right behind her," Sharleen replied. "Go to the washroom with her and convince her. I'm outside. I'll try what I can."

Suzanne and Sharleen entered the washroom, while A.D. remained outside, feigning to clean the floor. Inside, Sharleen was trying desperately to convince Suzanne, but Suzanne refused to hear anything about it not being a dream.

Outside, a group of students — George, Ferick, Thomas, and Vince — approached A.D., their expressions menacing. "Hey, you, what are you doing outside the ladies' washroom?" George sneered.

"No, I'm just cleaning the floor," A.D. stammered, his eyes darting to the washroom door. He spoke into his comms. "Sharleen, how much time? I think there's going to be a fight."

"Not much," Sharleen replied, her voice strained. "Almost convinced her."

"Whose talking with you?" Suzanne asked, her voice carrying through the door.

Sharleen quickly answered, "A.D., Jane, and also my boyfriend."

"A.D., on mic, what are you talking about?" A.D. exclaimed, shocked by Sharleen's casual revelation.

"Sorry," Sharleen whispered back. "Jane made a deal with me. If I help you, she'll allow me to be with you."

"What!" A.D.'s voice was a sharp whisper.

"Don't panic," Sharleen quickly added. "I know you like her and she also likes you, so I made a deal that we both, Jane and I, can marry you together.

"Hey, you! I'm talking to you, and you're ignoring me!" George snarled at A.D., his voice laced with menace. "I'll have to teach you a lesson."

George lunged forward, delivering a swift kick to A.D.'s legs. A sharp cry of pain escaped A.D.'s lips.

Outside the game, Lisa gasped. "A.D.!" she cried, her voice urgent. "Shin, come fast!"

Inside, Shin was already sprinting towards A.D.'s position. Just then, Sharleen burst out of the washroom, her eyes blazing. "Hey, you!" she yelled, confronting George.

"Who are you? His girlfriend?" Ferick scoffed, stepping forward.

Suzanne, drawn by the commotion, also emerged from the washroom, her eyes wide as she took in the unfolding scene.

Without a word, Sharleen launched herself at them, a whirlwind of kicks and punches. The lobby filled with gasps and exclamations of "Ooooooh!" as she systematically overpowered all four bullies.

Suddenly, the college principal appeared, his face stern. "What is this? All of you, come to my office!"

George, bruised and humiliated, glared at Sharleen. "I'll finish you. You are dead now!" he muttered under his breath.
