Chapter 126: Kiana, Your Sister Has Arrived!

Takumi remained deeply curious about Liyue's development.

Had Zhongli put all the materials Takumi gave him to good use?

Zhongli didn't hide anything and reported Liyue's progress:

Zhongli:

[Industry has started to emerge. By combining alchemy and mechanical techniques, we've created a surprising number of new tools. Automobiles, for example, already exist now. The Liyue Qixing are now investing heavily in developing the Guili Plains—turning it into an industrial city.]

In short, Liyue was progressing rapidly.

Within a short span of time, the nation had already begun to change dramatically.

If this continued, they could rival Fontaine's tech level soon enough.

The industrial books Takumi provided, and the inventions Ganyu had seen during her visit, were now being reconstructed using Teyvat-compatible techniques.

And this was just the beginning. Takumi could already imagine the transformation that would sweep across Liyue.

Takumi:

[Oh? That's pretty great. If you ever need anything else, feel free to ask. I can provide more resources.]

Zhongli:

[There's no need for now. Ultimately, they must achieve it on their own.]

Zhongli didn't want to stifle the creativity of Liyue's people.

If everything was handed to them, who would bother to innovate?

That's why the foundational support Takumi gave was enough.

The rest was up to them.

Understanding this, Takumi couldn't help but smile.

A healthy philosophy.

Chika Fujiwara:

[@Takumi, what are you doing chatting in the group? I thought you were busy.]

Chika was confused. She saw Takumi chatting with Zhongli casually in the group. Wasn't he supposed to be busy dealing with things?

Takumi:

[I've wrapped up most of it. Just waiting for Otto to show up. I'll be making a trade with him—getting the Divine Keys and such.]

He was quite literally waiting for Otto to walk through the door.

Chika:

[Colluding with the enemy?!]

A trade with Otto? Seriously?

Takumi:

[Watch your words! It's called mutual benefit, not collusion.]

Chika:

[Otto's done so many horrible things and you're not going to finish him off?]

To Chika, it seemed obvious—Takumi should just eliminate Otto.

Takumi:

[No no. The plan is to resurrect Kallen, then let her find out everything Otto's done. Maybe even revive Yae Sakura too. Let's not kill Otto. Let's make him live with the consequences.]

Wouldn't that be more fun?

Chika:

[That's savage! Let Otto fight Yae Sakura for Kallen's affection, and let Kallen know what Otto's done? That saint is going to explode!]

Chika's eyes sparkled. Otto the simp?!

She was extremely intrigued by this new direction.

The plot of Mei's world had already gone completely off-script!

While everyone was chatting, Otto finally arrived.

He walked in, accompanied by Durandal and Rita.

Seeing them enter, Takumi quickly messaged the group.

Takumi:

[They're here. Gotta go.]

He closed the chat and stood up.

"There you are! Kiana, look—your sister's here!"

Takumi called out cheerfully, grinning at Kiana.

Everyone present froze.

Even Theresa looked baffled.

Kiana's sister?

No one had been told about the truth of Durandal's identity.

Mei hadn't mentioned that Durandal was the real Kiana.

"What the heck are you on about now?!"

Kiana looked visibly annoyed at Takumi.

Her impression of him was already terrible.

He always said nonsense that made her angry.

Like claiming she must attend his and Mei's wedding, and that their future kid should call her godmother?

Her blood pressure spiked just remembering his earlier comments.

Now he was saying her sister was here?

She didn't believe it at all.

Just more Takumi nonsense.

"But… what if it's true?"

Mei quietly interjected.

She glanced at Durandal, then at Kiana.

Kiana couldn't become the strongest Valkyrie—but the strongest Valkyrie could be Kiana.

Durandal… was Kiana too.

Kiana froze.

"Eh?!"

She had to trust Mei.

Her double standards truly knew no bounds.

Otto, entering just then, had also heard what Takumi said.

He paused but quickly regained composure.

Takumi knew everything. Nothing could be hidden from him.

Durandal, however, was stunned.

"My… sister???"

She looked completely baffled.

Kiana was her sister?

"Durandal! Technically, yes—she is your sister. You two should talk."

"I'll be speaking with Mr. Takumi in the meantime."

Otto gave Durandal a look and turned to Takumi.

Takumi met him with a smile, and the two moved off to a corner of the room.

Durandal looked at Kiana, visibly confused.

Kiana, too, had a complicated expression.

She was Kiana, wasn't she?

Mei's words had made it clear.

Behind Durandal, Rita observed everything curiously.

Durandal and Kiana stared at each other, unsure what to say.

So Mei stepped in.

She explained everything she knew to help Durandal understand the situation.

At some point, Theresa had wandered over too, quietly listening to their conversation.

Meanwhile, Takumi and Otto sat down in a corner of the conference room.

"Mr. Takumi, I'm quite curious… which bubble universe are you from exactly?"

Otto's eyes gleamed with curiosity.

Takumi smiled.

"Ah, you're mistaken. I'm not from a bubble universe. I come from outside the Tree entirely."

"Himeko and Bronya are the ones from bubble universes beneath the Imaginary Tree."

He shrugged, casually explaining the truth.

With Otto's intelligence, it wouldn't be hard for him to understand.

And understand he did.

"Outside the Tree…? I see."

Otto's eyes widened with revelation.

So that's where Takumi came from.

Everything finally made sense.
