Chapter 135: Sirin — I Want to Be the Big Sister

Herrscher of the Void: Sirin. Herrscher of Flames: Kiana.

After consulting Prometheus, Takumi more or less understood the situation. According to her, both of them must become Herrschers. It didn't matter which aspect they embodied. Now that Sirin had been revived, she naturally resumed her position as the Herrscher of the Void.

"W-What!? Another Herrscher was born?!" Theresa was stunned. What was up with her silly niece? Why did she suddenly become another Herrscher? And the Herrscher of Flames at that!

Kiana had already undergone a full transformation. Her long hair now tied in a high ponytail, a cape draped behind her. She looked more mature now—none of that earlier airheadedness.

"Hmph! Impostor!" Sirin opened her eyes and immediately glared at Kiana in displeasure.

"Sirin!" Just then, Cecilia rushed forward and hugged her tightly. Sirin stiffened in her embrace, and... began acting awkward.

"Let go of me!! Move aside, I'm going to destroy the world!!"

Tsundere Sirin shouted begrudgingly.

"Destroy the world? You can't do that." "You see that woman? That's your big sister Durandal. She could swat you like a fly." "Then there's the Herrscher of Knowledge—Fu Hua says you're brave." "She says you're so brave, you deserve a palm strike that could split the heavens." "The one who beat you before wasn't even at full strength. She's stronger now." "And look at the other Herrschers—of Thunder, of Reason. They all side with humanity." "What's your plan, Miss Sirin, to destroy humanity?" "Oh, and don't forget. In the Sea of Quanta, there's an ancient Kaslana ancestor still alive." "He's been around for tens of thousands of years. If he hits you, it's like swatting a bug."

Hearing all this, Takumi chuckled. Nice idea, but in this world, you're totally outmatched! Who are you even gonna beat?

Sirin was speechless. Durandal now stepped forward, quietly looking at Sirin.

"You want to destroy the world?"

Her eyes locked with Sirin's. Takumi had made it clear: this was now her little sister. So as the big sister, she had a responsibility to properly educate her.

For some reason, Durandal suddenly felt fired up. Finally, she could lecture a younger sibling.

"Good grief! Sirin, what nonsense are you spouting?" "Be good, okay~" Cecilia rubbed her head gently, wearing a reproachful look.

Faced with Cecilia's gentle scolding and Durandal's intimidating stare, Sirin shrank back.

"...Fine. Then I won't destroy the world... I'll destroy Otto instead!!" If world destruction was off the table, surely she could beat up Otto, right?

"That's fine! If you can manage it." Takumi grinned happily.

Take down Otto? Oh yes, he was all for it.

"No problem. He totally deserves it!" Cecilia agreed wholeheartedly. As long as Sirin wasn't throwing tantrums anymore, anything was fine.

"Also! I want to be the big sister." "Kiana's the dumb little one! I'm older than her!"

Sirin raised her head proudly. Truthfully, she was even older than Durandal. But Durandal's aura was overwhelming. She'd let her slide. But Kiana? No way. That walking sneaker worm? Sirin refused to lose to her.

Cecilia blinked, then smiled. "That's fine! From now on, you're Kiana's big sister."

Satisfied, Sirin puffed up even more.

Kiana, however, was not having it.

"Wait!! I don't agree!!" "Why should she be my big sister?!"

She didn't care about the Herrscher power-up anymore. She wasn't about to call that bug-brained girl her big sis.

Durandal, fine. But Sirin? Over her dead body!

"Sirin's older than you~" Cecilia smiled sweetly.

Sirin looked smug. Yup, she was the big sister now.

Kiana narrowed her eyes, staring at the short girl in front of her.

"Tch. Stupid shorty!!"

Sirin snapped. "Who're you calling short?!"

She wriggled out of Cecilia's arms and flicked Kiana hard on the forehead.

"Say it. Say big sis!!"

Without question, that triggered Kiana's fury.

"AAAAAAHHHH!!" "You hit my head?! Damn it!!"

And the two broke into a full-on brawl.

Sirin had always been in Kiana's body. They never got along. Sirin had tried to take over multiple times. Now it was time to settle old and new scores. They wrestled each other—but held back from serious harm.

Cecilia watched them fondly, unable to hide her smile.

Takumi, having settled the matter, turned to the group.

"Mei, Kiana, Sushang, Sirin, Bronya. Let's go." "We're heading to World Serpent." "Himeko, you're coming too." "Time to meet the Flame-Chasers of the Previous Era."

The sudden announcement paused the scuffle. Takumi had called out a lineup of Herrschers.

Kiana blinked. "The Flame-Chasers from the Previous Era?" "Why are we meeting them?"

"Obviously, to meet the cutest one—Elysia!" "Friends, let's go. I've been dying to meet them!"

Sushang—now carrying Fu Hua's memories—sparkled with enthusiasm. She'd nearly fallen asleep earlier, but now she was ready.

Kiana paused. So she knew them too?

"Fu Hua is from the Previous Era." "Don't look at Sushang like that." "Back then, they fought against Herrschers, and nearly all perished." "Fu Hua is the only surviving warrior from that time." "Same with the Kaslana ancestor. They were good friends." "Your ancestor was crazy strong."

Takumi offered a quick explanation. Kiana was stunned.

"What?! Class rep lived that long?!" "Then why doesn't she have—"

She trailed off. Why doesn't she have as much... development... as Future Bronya?

So embarrassing!!!

Fu Hua heard it all, but didn't mind. Fat only hinders battle, after all.
