Chapter 136: Don't Forget About Seele

Kiana breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Fu Hua didn't seem to mind.

Good thing class rep wasn't upset—otherwise, she might've gotten a serious beating.

"All right, Kiana, that's enough questions."

"Since Mr. Takumi wants you to go, just go."

Cecilia stepped in to stop Kiana from probing further. Takumi had brought them back to life—she was deeply grateful. Without him, she would never have reunited with her husband and daughter… and even gained two more daughters.

Kiana obediently closed her mouth after hearing that.

"Are we heading out now?" Mei asked curiously.

"Yes," Takumi nodded. "We're leaving now. They've already arrived."

Outside the gates of St. Freya Academy, Raven and Gray Serpent had already arrived.

As Takumi finished speaking, he opened a void rift in imaginary space and stepped through. The others quickly followed behind him.

Seele was especially familiar with this sort of portal. Takumi possessed the authority of every Herrscher—it was honestly absurd.

Terrifying, even.

As someone who had been completely defeated by Takumi with one hand, Seele fully understood he was someone she absolutely couldn't mess with, no matter how arrogant she might get.

Everyone followed him out of the academy. Cecilia and the rest didn't come along. She had more to discuss with Theresa and Durandal.

Those Takumi had named—Mei, Kiana, Ai-chan, Fu Hua, Seele, Bronya, and Himeko—all followed.

They arrived at the academy's gate, just as Raven and Gray Serpent were about to step inside. The sudden appearance of the space rift made Raven look at Gray Serpent in confusion.

You brought me here for this?

Isn't that the Void Herrscher's authority?

What the heck!

What are you planning, bringing me here?

Raven was stunned.

Then, she saw a group of Herrschers walking out from the portal. She could feel their Honkai energy—it wasn't something that could be faked. Not to mention the symbols in their eyes.

"You brought me to the Herrscher nest?" Raven exclaimed, wide-eyed.

Especially when she saw Seele.

Wasn't that the Void Herrscher?

She's alive again?

Oh crap, oh crap!!

Gray Serpent, are you trying to sell me off?

"Calm down," Gray Serpent said flatly, glancing at her. What are you panicking for? He wasn't even panicked.

Truthfully, he hadn't expected this many Herrschers to appear either.

And they looked… stable?

He remembered the Lightning Herrscher being declared "under control" and had been surprised then.

But now, these Herrschers seemed completely rational. Even Seele.

The realization left Gray Serpent shaken.

"Give me the coordinates to the Elysian Realm," Takumi said.

"We'll head there directly. I want to meet Elysia and the others."

Gray Serpent nodded. "All right. But I want your help bringing back the Sovereign."

He agreed—but only if Takumi helped retrieve Kevin.

Not that he had much choice. Even if he refused, Takumi would've made him agree anyway. Might as well be cooperative.

"Sure, I was planning to go to the Sea of Quanta anyway," Takumi replied. "No problem."

They quickly finalized the plan.

Gray Serpent passed along the coordinates to World Serpent's headquarters.

Once Takumi had them, he opened another void rift and stepped through. The rest followed.

Before long, the group arrived at World Serpent's base.

Alarms blared instantly.

But a glow passed through Gray Serpent's eyes—and the alarms shut off.

Takumi glanced around and muttered, "Your cloaking tech is seriously impressive."

Even with the Erosion Herrscher's authority scanning the net, this place would've remained hidden.

They'd prepared well.

"If we weren't prepared, we wouldn't have survived this long," Gray Serpent said calmly.

After all, this place housed vast amounts of pre-civilization tech.

Takumi didn't press further. Instead, he brought up another matter.

"I can bring Kevin back right now."

"Fu Hua, Ai-chan—you'll need to restrain your old friend."

"Otherwise, I might end up killing him myself."

Takumi couldn't help but complain.

Kevin, the obsessive maniac, would probably attack the moment he saw this crowd of Herrschers.

"Sure!"

"Fighting Kevin? Count me in!"

"I'll show I'm the strongest among the Thirteen Flame-Chasers!"

Fu Hua and Ai-chan agreed instantly. Ai-chan, especially, looked eager. Time to prove herself.

Takumi rolled his eyes at her enthusiasm but didn't argue. He began activating his powers to lock onto the Sea of Quanta.

Just as he was about to act, Bronya called out, "Don't forget about Seele!"

Right! They couldn't leave her behind.

"Of course," Takumi nodded. "One or two—it's all the same."

With that, he began.

The moment he connected to the Sea of Quanta, the sensation hit him hard. It felt like returning home.

Not only did the Imaginary Tree welcome him—the Sea of Quanta did too.

That surprised even Takumi.

Maybe he really did need to take a personal trip in there.

For now, though, time to retrieve his targets.

The way the Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta favored him was frankly a bit scary.

Still, his main body was outside—he wasn't diving in himself. So many things remained inaccessible to him at the moment.

To understand more, he'd need to go in personally.

Maybe it'd lead to an unexpected discovery.

With that thought, Takumi began his rescue.

It didn't take long before he locked onto Kevin and Seele.

Kevin noticed the lock immediately.

Alongside him—Dark Seele.

"Seele! Danger incoming!"

Dark Seele took over immediately, her face full of caution.

Kevin also tensed.

Whoever was locking onto them was overwhelmingly powerful.

More terrifying than when he'd faced the Finality.

While they braced themselves, Takumi simply reached out—

—and pulled both of them out of the Sea of Quanta with ease.

They had no chance to resist.

Just like that, he brought them both back.
