Kevin launched an attack the moment he came ashore.
Seele joined in immediately. But in the next second, both of them stopped.
"My Lord!"
"Seele!!"
"Kevin!"
Three voices rang out at once. Upon hearing the voices, Kevin and Seele halted instantly.
"Gray Serpent, Hua?"
"Sister Bronya!!"
Kevin looked toward the source of the voice in surprise, while Seele's face lit up with joy. She instantly switched into her white persona and ran toward Bronya. The two sisters embraced each other tightly.
"This is great!!"
"Seele!!"
Bronya was overjoyed beyond words. Seele had finally returned.
While the sisters were celebrating their reunion, Kevin remained bewildered. What exactly was going on here? Why were there so many Herrschers around? Had the World Serpent been invaded by Herrschers?
Kevin was shocked!
"Want some noodles?"
Seeing Kevin's stunned expression, Takumi suddenly pulled out a bowl of ramen and handed it over.
"Thanks... wait! Who are you??"
Kevin instinctively accepted the noodles but immediately grew cautious. Somehow, Takumi had silently appeared right next to him.
Such terrifying power!!
Kevin was stunned.
"Well~ I'm Takumi, the core of the Honkai from another world," he said casually.
"And I came here at the invitation of the Herrscher of Thunder. You don't have to worry—Herrschers in this world all possess humanity."
"Just like Elysia, they fight for mankind."
With a shrug, Takumi quietly put the bowl of noodles away. What a shame—they wouldn't get to see Kevin slurping noodles.
"Kevin, there's no need to be so tense."
"The current situation is far better than you might imagine."
At this moment, Fu Hua also spoke up.
Hearing her, Kevin frowned and scanned the crowd, especially Little Shiki. Seeing her eager expression to fight, Kevin grew even more confused.
And the Herrscher of the Void... was she revived?
This situation left Kevin completely dazed.
"Hua, what's going on?"
Kevin looked toward the Herrscher of Knowledge. Why did this Herrscher resemble Hua so much?
"Hua could never become a Herrscher," Takumi said cheerfully. "But a Herrscher can become Hua!"
Raising an eyebrow at the remark, Kevin felt the situation was complicated.
Fu Hua also wore a complex expression as she glanced at Little Shiki.
"What?! Is there a problem?!"
Little Shiki was visibly irritated, clenching her fists. She looked ready to hit someone, but Fu Hua ignored her.
Then, Fu Hua started explaining everything to Kevin.
After listening, Kevin was stunned.
Was that even possible?
"So you're saying, the current Herrschers are all controllable?"
His gaze swept across the assembled Herrschers. When his eyes landed on Mei, he paused for a few seconds—then on Himeko. Among them, only Himeko wasn't a Herrscher.
Her familiar face reminded Kevin of old friends. But his expression remained unreadable.
"More or less," Takumi said.
"Besides, whether the Finality will descend upon your world is still uncertain."
"And if it does, the candidates would be one of those two."
He looked over at Kiana and Sirin.
Sirin was still alive, so if Finality did come, it would most likely fall on her.
Then again, who knew if any more Herrschers would even emerge in the future?
When the time came, Takumi would take a look.
Hearing this, Kevin furrowed his brows. So, Finality might not come? And if it did, it would be through one of them?
Kevin nodded thoughtfully. If there was no immediate threat, he could afford to lower his hostility.
"Alright, now that you're up to speed—"
"Let's get back to our task. I'm heading to the Elysian Realm."
Takumi said without hesitation.
Hearing that, Gray Serpent nodded and glanced at Kevin.
Kevin remained silent.
Was Takumi planning to bring these Herrschers to see Elysia?
Why would he do that?
That was what puzzled Kevin the most.
So he decided to follow along.
The group, led by Gray Serpent, entered the World Serpent's inner sanctum. At the gate, many members were already gathered. They had seen what had happened outside.
Upon Kevin's return, the members of the World Serpent began shouting their Lord's name.
The scene left the others quite amazed.
"You really are something, Kevin!"
"How did you manage this?"
Little Shiki was very curious.
If a group of people shouted, 'Long live the Herrscher of Knowledge, milady!' she'd be thrilled, too.
She wanted to learn from Kevin.
Kevin looked at her coldly.
He had no idea.
Who knew how Gray Serpent had brainwashed them?
Seeing Kevin's expressionless face, Little Shiki pouted. Forget it. As expected, Kevin was just as boring as ever!
She didn't press further but instead looked around with curiosity.
Meanwhile, Takumi had already gone over to Raven and taken her weapon, Judgment of Shamash.
Raven didn't even dare to get angry. She could only watch nervously, afraid he'd damage the Divine Key.
This was the guy who pulled Kevin straight back from the gate, after all.
She couldn't afford to cross him.
So she just silently watched Takumi at work.
Takumi took Judgment of Shamash, swiftly duplicated it, and returned it to Raven.
"All done! Here you go."
However, the gun had turned into a slingshot by the time it reached her hands.
Raven didn't even react. She was already used to Takumi's antics.
A spoiled noble, what could she do?
Raven didn't ask what Takumi had done to her weapon, simply accompanying him and the group deeper into the World Serpent's base. Eventually, under Gray Serpent's lead, they headed toward the Elysian Realm.
Takumi walked beside Mei. As they entered, he couldn't help but say to her:
"Once we're in, just shout loudly, 'Answer me, Elysia!'"
"Let's see if she shows up."
The corridor was silent, so Takumi's voice echoed loudly.
Kevin and the others twitched at his suggestion.
What kind of behavior was that?
Mei blushed furiously.
"No way I'm doing something that weird!!"
No way.
She'd die of embarrassment!
What did in-game behavior have to do with her?
There was no way she'd shout that.
If she did, she'd socially die right then and there.
"You again! What weird thing are you trying to make Mei do this time?"
Kiana glared at Takumi.
Takumi simply shrugged.
"I just want Mei to experience fate. What evil thoughts could I possibly have?"
Right, Mei-san?
