If used well, this new Herrscher Authority was incredibly versatile. Anything other Herrschers could do, this Authority could also accomplish. In fact, even the power of the End could be reproduced through this Authority. After all, magic is full of wonders, and even time magic is pretty normal.
That's exactly why Takumi was so satisfied. He was ridiculously strong after this power-up. In any magic world he visited, even the so-called Magic Gods would be nothing compared to him.
He opened the group chat, planning to share his latest achievement with everyone.
Takumi: [Popping in!] [I've powered up again!]
Upon seeing Takumi's message, everyone in the group fell silent. No one replied—except Miori Shiba.
Miori Shiba: [Congratulations, darling~!]
Apart from her, everyone else stayed quiet. Takumi found this baffling.
Takumi: [Why is everyone so silent?] [Say something! What are you all up to behind my back?]
Fujiwara Chika: [I have nothing to say. I'm speechless. You're just too strong—I'm not qualified to comment!]
Sagiri: [I can't take any more blows to my confidence. I'm starting to want to quit the group.]
Yuuki Asuna: [Do we really deserve to be in this group with you? Aren't we just extras at this point?]
Saten Ruiko: [You should be the group leader!]
Zhongli: [Indeed, but unfortunately the group owner can't be transferred!!]
No one knew what else to say. Takumi's growth was just too fast—like a rocket, impossible to keep up with. Being in the same group as him was stressful.
Seeing everyone's messages, Takumi couldn't help but laugh.
Takumi: [You all have a chance to catch up too! Just keep checking in—one day you might get a Solar Authority or something like a simulated Creation Star Chart, and then you'll catch up in no time!]
People should always have dreams, after all, so there's no need to feel down.
Fujiwara Chika: [Any dream is possible, so I'm going to sleep!]
Yuu: [Good night!]
Bronya: [Wait for me, I'm off to bed too.]
Yuuki Asuna: [Count me in!!]
Fine, off to dreamland they went. Maybe they'd see all those things Takumi mentioned in their dreams.
Takumi rolled his eyes at their replies. Whatever. He couldn't be bothered to argue with them. He started collecting back his space bracelets and points—there were even some red packets left unclaimed. The group was pretty disciplined: even without Takumi saying anything, everyone returned their space bracelets and points after the party. No one tried to pocket Takumi's points, not even Kaguya.
Takumi claimed everything back. Just then, Miori Shiba spoke up again.
Miori Shiba: [By the way, what's your new Authority called? If a new Herrscher appears, should it be called the Herrscher of Magic?]
She was curious: what had Takumi named his new Authority?
Takumi thought for a moment, then replied in the group.
Takumi: [Herrscher of Law.] [Because as long as it's related to Law, I can use my Authority to cast it. This Authority is incredibly versatile!]
He'd decided on the name. Not Herrscher of Magic, but Herrscher of Law.
Miori Shiba: [I see!]
She'd expected it to be Herrscher of Magic since it fused so much magical knowledge, but Herrscher of Law worked. Still, this power was outrageous—Takumi was leaving everyone else in the dust.
As she marveled at this, a new member joined the group.
[Sakura Matou has joined the chat.]
Takumi was stunned when he saw the name, and everyone else was shocked—especially those familiar with the Fate world.
Fujiwara Chika blinked.
Sakura Matou?
For a moment, she was amazed. Just as she wanted to say something, Sakura spoke up.
Sakura Matou: [Someone, please save me...]
Her first message was a plea for help.
Takumi realized right away: was this the young Sakura, right after being adopted into the Matou family?
Takumi: [Oh my god!!]
Fujiwara Chika: [The old worm must die!!]
In that instant, everyone reached a consensus—unspoken but instant: the old worm had to die.
Takumi immediately sent out a red packet.
Takumi: [Exclusive red packet for Sakura Matou.] [Take it!]
Takumi condensed a Herrscher core and split off an avatar of himself, sending it to Sakura via the red packet. He wanted to see if this would work—could he merge his consciousness into a core and send it to someone in another world? It wouldn't be as strong as his real self, but it would save points and avoid traveling himself. This could save a lot of points.
In the Matou family's basement, Sakura was curled up in a corner, trembling. Suddenly, she'd joined a group chat. She didn't know what was happening, but she instinctively called for help—and the group immediately responded. Someone even sent her a red packet?
For a moment, it was like a ray of hope had appeared. Maybe someone really would save her?
With nervous anticipation, Sakura accepted the red packet from Takumi. Instantly, a core appeared and fused with her before she could react.
The moment the core appeared, the entire Nasuverse was thrown into chaos. Gaia and Alaya panicked—what was going on? How had something like this appeared, and so abruptly?
They didn't know what Honkai energy was, but the malice it radiated frightened them. They didn't dare be careless, so all their attention was focused on the source of this power.
As soon as the Herrscher core appeared, it fused with Sakura. Even from across worlds, Takumi could sense the link remained—he could connect to her consciousness through the chat group and the core.
Takumi's eyes lit up at this discovery.
He immediately took control of Sakura's body.
"Sakura! Give me your body—I'll help you take care of that hateful old man."
Inside her consciousness, Takumi addressed the purple-haired little girl before him.
Sakura stared at Takumi, bewildered.
"Who are you?"
She was confused—how had she ended up here? What was that power just now? Her young mind was full of questions, and she couldn't figure out what was happening!
