Chapter 249: Three Missions at Once?

Takumi laughed when he heard what Fujiwara Chika said.

"From now on, this place might as well be the headquarters for our group chat. If we could set up a free passage channel through the group, that would be perfect. Everyone could just live here."

People could drop in anytime and gradually bring all the other worlds under his control. Eventually, he could construct a super-civilization that spanned countless dimensions.

If he truly succeeded in doing that, it would be incredible. Maybe one day, Takumi could even explore beyond the void. At his current strength, that was no longer impossible. As long as he didn't encounter beings too powerful, he'd be safe out there. And even if something went wrong, he could always use the group chat to return.

But that was for another time. There was no need to rush. The future held endless opportunities.

"I've made up my mind," Chika suddenly said. "Once I go back, I'm bringing my whole family here. I want them to learn magic or awaken superpowers too."

Takumi raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"You've really decided?" Asuna asked, a bit surprised. She remembered Chika hesitating before.

Chika nodded. "Otherwise, think about it—what if a few decades from now my family members start dying? That would devastate me. If Grandpa passed away, I'd be heartbroken. Now that I have the power, I want to give my family a better life. I'm going to give up everything in that world and immigrate here."

"Me too," Katou Megumi added. "And I plan to return soon. I've already saved enough points."

Her decision was much simpler. Her parents were just ordinary working-class people with a mortgage. Life would be far easier in Takumi's world. She had almost enough points; just a few more check-ins would do it.

"How about bringing Kasumigaoka Utaha and Eriri with you too?" Takumi's eyes lit up at the thought.

Megumi gave him a sideways glance. "I don't know if they'd agree, but I can ask."

Even if she was willing, the others might not be. But it didn't hurt to check. If they said yes, she'd bring them along. It'd be nice to have company.

"Hmph! Want me to bring Kaguya too?" Chika gave Takumi a disapproving look. "You're always thinking about cute girls, aren't you?"

"Kaguya's already here. I don't need you to bring her. Besides, I'm not into clowns. I'd rather have Ai Hayasaka. Your older sister's fine too," Takumi replied with a blank expression.

He didn't care much for silly beauties. He preferred someone like Ai Hayasaka—or perhaps someone even more chaotic.

Chika rolled her eyes and stopped pursuing the topic.

Everyone continued playing games together until dinner was ready. Once Alice and the others had prepared the food, they all went downstairs to enjoy the meal. Shiina Mashiro and a few other group members staying in Takumi's world joined them.

They sat around chatting while eating delicious food. The mood couldn't be better.

The only downside? Chika and the others didn't drink. They insisted minors shouldn't consume alcohol.

But Takumi and Kaguya-hime had no such limitations. They were already adults—and Kaguya was far older than she looked. Takumi even drank quite a bit with Gabriel.

He was the only guy among a group of lovely ladies—and he was thoroughly enjoying himself.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone went home. Takumi personally brought the slightly tipsy Gabriel back to his place.

If this were any other world, Gabriel might have fallen many times over. But in Takumi's world, there was no chance of corruption. Still, the divine Gabriel had a very enticing presence.

...

The next morning, Gabriel fled Takumi's home in a fluster, returning to the heavens.

Shiina Mashiro looked at her, a bit exasperated. "Come on, what's there to be embarrassed about? Everything already happened."

She didn't get it. Why did people act so differently between night and day?

Takumi smiled wryly. "She's an angel, after all. Heaven used to have many strict rules. Gabriel was a little disoriented last night. After such an intense... impact, her mind went blank. Once she regained clarity, she remembered all the angelic laws."

Mashiro shook her head, unsure what to say.

"Anyway, enough of that. Which world do you plan to visit next? The Little Garden?"

Mashiro looked at Takumi. She couldn't imagine him staying cooped up in his world forever. With all the points he'd accumulated, he could travel anywhere now. And with his power, nothing could really stand in his way anymore.

"I'll go to Little Garden eventually, but not right now," Takumi said. "The group chat just got updated with some missions."

He opened the chat, seeing a flurry of discussion. Several new missions had been posted. Mashiro opened her chat too, checking the mission tab.

New Mission: [Highschool of the Dead] Objective: Rescue survivors and bring them to safety before complete extinction. Reward: 10,000 points. Participants: 5

New Mission: [World Fusion] Objective: The worlds of Campione and Strike the Blood are colliding. Ensure minimal casualties during the fusion. Reward: 50,000 points + [Permanent World Gate Pass] Participants: 5

New Mission: [Large-Scale World Fusion] Objective: Multiple worlds are colliding. Ensure minimal casualties during the fusion. Explore the involved worlds on your own. Reward: 300,000 points (distributed by individual contribution) + [Permanent World Gate Pass] Participants: Unlimited

Three missions had suddenly appeared in the chat.

Everyone was buzzing. Still, no one had signed up just yet.

Fujiwara Chika: [So many missions!!] [Is the last one for real? Multiple worlds colliding?!] [What's going on with those worlds?! Are they all this terrifying?]

Sagiri: [I think I can join too!!]

Herta: [Quickly, how should we divide the teams?]

Izayoi: [Time to rack up some points!!]

Shiroyasha: [@Zhongli, what does the group leader say?]

Zhongli: [@Takumi, what's your take?]

One by one, members started chiming in.

They had just woken up and were instantly hit with these missions. Everyone was stunned.

What kind of day was this?
