The interdimensional trafficker of humanity, Takumi, was back online.
So Takumi felt it wasn't too bad after all. Sure, maybe he suffered a minor loss, but being able to bring back some people and technology made it more than worth it. After all, it was the foundation of an entire world. What real losses could there be?
The three of them returned home, while Shinonono Tabane and the others began to familiarize themselves with this world through the terminals they received. Listening to the AI's introduction, everyone was instantly dumbfounded.
Meanwhile, some researchers Takumi had brought back earlier noticed the newcomers. After inquiring about the situation, they warmly introduced the world to the new arrivals.
Prometheus then turned to Shinonono Tabane.
"Miss Shinonono Tabane, your job assignment has already been arranged based on big data filtering. Your superior will be Miss Velvie, one of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers, inscribed as the Spiral."
"She is also the creator of the Divine Keys and a mechanical engineering genius, renowned for her authority in mechanical power systems and energy. You will study under her and master various advanced technologies of this world."
"Additionally, some permissions to the knowledge database will be opened to you. For more access, you will need Miss Velvie's or Dr. Mei's authorization."
Prometheus patiently explained all of this to Tabane. To avoid any resistance, she even emphasized Velvie's credentials and accomplishments—like their ongoing exploration of the universe and what the Divine Keys actually were.
After reading through the information, Tabane was completely stunned.
This incredible individual was to be her new boss? She was truly shocked.
"Where is she now? Can I go report to her?" Tabane asked eagerly. She couldn't wait to meet her.
"If you're not occupied with family arrangements, you can visit Miss Velvie at any time," Prometheus responded calmly.
Tabane froze. "Ah, right! What about my sister and parents? How will they be arranged?"
Shinonono Houki, overhearing her sister's concern, looked just as puzzled. What would happen to those brought here?
"Your sister will attend high school at the Magic Academy. She can choose to study either magic or swordsmanship. Your parents will receive a talent subsidy and can pursue anything they enjoy doing."
Prometheus laid out all the benefits and arrangements.
IS, the anime, existed in Prometheus's database, which made such tailored arrangements possible.
Seeing the details laid out so clearly, Tabane was amazed.
"Magic? Superpowers? Are these all real?" she asked.
Among the listed benefits were superpower serums. Was this legit?
There were also various magical arts one could learn.
"Everything listed is attainable. Everyone who arrives in this world gets a superpower serum. As for magic, one must attend the Magic Academy. Instructors will be provided there. If chosen by certain races, you may even be reborn as another race."
"Currently, the only available transformation is into an angel, and that comes with very high requirements."
Since none of this was a secret, Prometheus laid it all out plainly.
Tabane absorbed the information. "Alright! Houki, you go and study hard at the Magic Academy. We won't have to keep moving around in hiding anymore."
"By the way, are we allowed to leave this place freely? Or are we confined here?" she asked Prometheus, still uncertain.
"You may go anywhere you like, anytime. There are no restrictions. Our world is connected to other worlds too. If you want to travel, that's totally allowed."
Tabane nodded in satisfaction. That was good. Everything sounded perfect. She even forgave Takumi for his uncivilized behavior. This setup was delightful.
She wasn't the only one pleased—the others were thrilled with the arrangements too.
After explaining things to her family, Tabane left under Prometheus's arrangement to meet Velvie. The remaining people either stayed or went to their assigned residences.
After all, even if they wanted to return, no one could send them back. As Prometheus put it, Takumi had just passed through their world casually and scooped them up on a whim. Finding it again was nearly impossible.
So now, they could only start new lives in this world.
They began trying to integrate into the world. But to Takumi, this small number of people wasn't anything significant—it barely made a ripple.
However, over on Velvie's side, she had just received Prometheus's message.
Learning that a new assistant had been assigned to her, Velvie raised an eyebrow.
"An assistant? Shouldn't that go to Dr. Mei? Why would I need one? Are they just going to slow me down?"
Prometheus replied, "This young lady once designed a combat suit called IS. It shares many concepts with the Hollow Divine Key."
She then displayed the designs Tabane had created.
"Looks quite similar to Valkyrie armor," Velvie murmured, intrigued.
"Let me see! Are there more detailed blueprints? Which world was she brought from? Did Takumi go on another world-hopping trip?"
As she spoke, more detailed information appeared.
Although this tech wasn't that impressive to her, it still held value.
After reviewing Tabane's profile, Velvie concluded she was worth mentoring.
"If she can keep up, I don't mind taking her in as an assistant."
She nodded with satisfaction. Promising candidate. They'd probably get along.
"She'll arrive at your place in three minutes," Prometheus informed her.
Velvie nodded without surprise. Otherwise, Prometheus wouldn't have made the arrangement in the first place.
Three minutes? That was more than enough time for her to get a few things done.
