Chapter 7: Filling in Saitama’s Weaknesses

Warrior Saint Academy.

That was the name printed on the acceptance letter Vincent Fox held in his hands.

Despite its mighty-sounding title, it was nothing more than a privately run, third-rate university a cheap imitation of the prestigious War God Academy.

Vincent stared at the letter, deep in thought.

For someone like him, who had inherited Saitama's unmatched physique, attending college seemed almost unnecessary. Three years of training, and he'd become invincible.

But even Saitama had flaws.

For one, he couldn't fly.

Sure, Saitama could leap from the moon back to Earth, but that was raw power not flight.

And most importantly… he couldn't survive in space.

What if Vincent someday found himself stranded in a vacuum? Or in a world with no breathable atmosphere?

That weakness had to be patched.

The answer? Find the ability to fly or teleport ideally from another Forbidden Zone.

Which meant… university was essential.

Most information about Forbidden Zones was strictly classified. It wasn't available online. Access was blocked by national firewalls.

Only university students were granted clearance.

Some Forbidden Zones were even under direct military control. Only students had permission to enter.

Vincent saw through the system: the country wanted all potential powerhouses under tight surveillance.

"Even a no-name private university like Warrior Saint Academy charges fifty or sixty thousand a year…"

He frowned.

The money his body's original parents had left behind was almost gone. He had only a few thousand yuan to his name not even enough for half a semester.

He needed a solution.

Fast.

Classes started in two months. Raising that kind of money in time was next to impossible for a regular high school graduate.

But Vincent was no ordinary graduate.

He had some ideas for quick money, but most involved time time he couldn't spare if he wanted to keep training every day.

So, he made the simplest decision:

Sell the apartment.

It was just a roof over his head.

He could always buy another one later once he was strong enough to flip a tank with a finger.

The very next morning, at eight o'clock sharp, Vincent walked into a real estate agency and put the apartment up for sale.

He listed it below market value, with one non-negotiable term:

Full payment, upfront.

No loans. No waiting. No banks.

Just cash.

Two weeks later, the apartment sold for 950,000 yuan more than enough to cover his university tuition and basic living expenses.

Two months later, the semester began.

The gates of Warrior Saint Academy bustled with activity as freshmen arrived with luggage in tow, their eyes lingering on the school's overly grand nameplate.

Among the crowd stood a calm young man, carrying a travel bag over one shoulder.

Vincent Fox.

Compared to two months ago, he looked like a completely different person.

His once-soft features had sharpened. His lean body now held wiry muscle, the kind forged through relentless, repetitive strain.

Clothed, he still looked slim. But underneath? Every inch was power.

His hair was noticeably thinner…

But his eyes that was where the biggest change lay.

Deep. Confident. Steady.

The gaze of someone who had walked through fire and come out stronger.

Thanks to the Saitama Physique, Vincent's physical stats had skyrocketed. All four attributes—except for Mental were now approaching 200.

Twenty times stronger than an ordinary man.

"Wasn't this supposed to be a third-rate university? Why are there so many new students?"

Vincent raised an eyebrow as he scanned the crowd.

Just then, a cheerful girl with an approachable smile walked over.

"Hey! You here to register?"

Vincent nodded.

"I'm a sophomore," she said warmly. "If you have any questions, I can help!"

With her help, Vincent breezed through registration.

"Alright, all done! I'll take you to your dorm."

"Thanks, senior."

"Don't mention it!" she beamed.

As they walked, Vincent asked curiously, "I thought this was a small school. Why are there so many students enrolling this year?"

She nodded. "That's because a lot of people failed the Hero Sanctuary test. But they're not ready to give up yet. So, they come here to try their luck with other Forbidden Zones."

Vincent's eyes widened.

"Wait… even if you failed the hero resonance, you can still enter a Forbidden Zone?"

"Of course," she replied. "It's just much more dangerous if you don't have a hero talent."

She gave him a knowing smile.

"Let me guess. Your teacher told you that failing the resonance meant you'd be a normal person for life, right?"

Vincent nodded silently.

She chuckled. "They say that to scare students. And… they're not entirely wrong either. Without a hero's gift, your odds of surviving inside a Forbidden Zone drop to near zero."

Her voice softened.

"Some don't make it out at all."

Her expression dimmed. For a moment, she looked far away, as if remembering someone she'd lost.

Clearly, she was one of those ordinary students someone who refused to accept a mediocre fate.

And so, like Vincent, she had come to Warrior Saint Academy…

To fight for something more.
