Chapter 8: Flowing Water Rock Smashing Fist

With the help of the senior, Vincent soon found his dormitory and met his new roommates.

Each room held four students.

Vincent's three roommates included a chubby guy and two skinny ones, making him the only one with a normal physique.

After a brief round of introductions, he learned their names.

The heavier one was Jason Tanner. The lanky ones were Eric Hunter and Felix Ward.

"Yo, Vincent! We're heading to an internet café. Wanna come?" Felix offered casually. He was a local and knew the best places around.

Vincent shook his head as he finished making his bed. "I'll pass for now. Gonna walk around and get familiar with the area."

"Alright, your loss!" Jason laughed. The trio left soon after.

Once they were gone, Vincent headed out too but not for leisure.

Since acquiring the Saitama Physique, he hadn't missed a single day of training. That's how he got this strong.

As always, he started with a ten-kilometer run.

To avoid drawing attention on campus, he jogged straight out of school grounds and followed a quiet street along the edge of town.

About ten minutes in, he found himself near an old market.

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion erupted from the marketplace ahead, shaking the ground.

Street stalls flipped, merchandise scattered, people screamed and fell in every direction. Even Vincent staggered from the shockwave.

What the hell?

Alarmed, he instinctively backed into a shadowed corner, eyes scanning the chaos.

Screams filled the air. Smoke rose from a collapsed storefront near the market's edge. Wounded civilians groaned on the pavement.

But that wasn't what truly shocked Vincent.

A group of figures shot across rooftops, leaping from building to building at supernatural speeds.

One of them, a towering muscular man, soared over ten meters with ease like a real-life superhero.

Vincent's jaw tightened.

He could pull off similar feats now… but seeing it unfold so brazenly in broad daylight still left him rattled.

The man was heading in Vincent's direction.

Without hesitation, Vincent slipped deeper into the shadows. No need to get involved. Staying low-key was still his best option.

"Kevin Cole! Hand over the Super Soldier Serum!" someone shouted from behind.

The muscular man Kevin just laughed and kept running.

Super Soldier Serum?

Vincent raised an eyebrow.

Wasn't that from Marvel? The serum that turned Steve Rogers into Captain America?

He hadn't expected something like that to exist in the real world let alone spark a rooftop chase.

"Kevin Cole, you're finished!" the voice shouted again, close now.

Vincent watched the pursuit unfold in silence.

Once, he might've been tempted by that serum.

But now?

He had something better.

The Saitama Physique. Unlimited potential. Why would he trade it for a glorified steroid?

Just then, Kevin skidded to a stop.

Someone stood in his path. A young man calm, composed, deadly. He seemed to appear out of nowhere, his presence radiating cold menace.

Kevin's face turned grim. "You…"

The youth didn't waste a word.

Crack!

He struck first.

His movements were blinding so fast that even Vincent, with all his current power, could barely track them.

Each punch flowed like water, crashing like boulders.

Kevin grunted as he was pummeled in a blur of attacks. A faint blue aura clung to the youth's strikes, elegant yet devastating.

Boom!

Kevin hit the pavement hard, coughing up blood.

Face contorted in disbelief, he gasped, "Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist…?"

The youth narrowed his eyes. "At least you recognize it."

He turned to the group chasing behind him. "Take him away."

Kevin didn't resist. He was already broken.

From the rooftop above, Vincent watched in silence mind racing, muscles tense.

So that's what true technique looks like…

Even with the Saitama Physique, there were still heights he hadn't reached.

But he would.

He clenched his fist.

Soon.
