Chapter 9: I Bonded With a C-Class Hero

After the muscular man was taken away, the police quickly arrived to restore order.

Vincent Fox noticed something strange none of the injured bystanders caused a scene. No shouting, no lawsuits, no drama. They just quietly accepted medical assistance and compensation forms while officers guided them away.

Even the passersby barely reacted. They lingered for a few minutes, then lost interest and moved on with their day.

Clearly, this kind of chaos wasn't rare.

This world was far from peaceful.

It was a world where superhumans walked the streets. Where battles broke out in public. Where explosions and flying fists were practically part of daily life.

Vincent watched the aftermath for a while, then turned and resumed his jog.

He had no time to waste.

To survive in this world to stay safe he had to become stronger.

Stronger than anyone.

The next morning.

The lecture hall at Saint Valor University was packed with new students, all buzzing with excitement and nerves.

There were no military drills or group training sessions like in ordinary universities. Not here. In this world, if you wanted real training, you went into a Forbidden Zone.

Vincent found a seat and waited quietly for class to begin.

Yesterday, after his workout, he'd gone to check out the school library.

Unfortunately, the entire first floor was filled with nothing but general knowledge books basic stuff, nothing about Forbidden Zones. The upper floors, which held the restricted materials, were off-limits to freshmen.

Everything about the Forbidden Zones was heavily censored.

Even sharing information online could lead to arrest.

Vincent now understood why university enrollment was a requirement for exploring them. The government tightly controlled access to power.

Soon, a calm and confident woman stepped up to the lectern and set down her roster.

She looked to be in her late twenties, dressed smartly in professional attire, and spoke with clarity and poise.

"Quiet down, everyone," she said with a smile. "I'm your student counselor, Helena Hayes. Over the next four years, I hope we'll help each other grow."

Her elegance caught the attention of quite a few boys in the room.

Counselor Simon opened her roll sheet. "We'll start with introductions. When I call your name, please stand and tell us a bit about yourself. If you've bonded with a hero, be sure to mention that as well."

She glanced down.

"Leon Sun."

A bespectacled, skinny boy slowly stood. His voice trembled a little. "Hello, everyone. I'm Leon Sun, from Huajin City… I haven't resonated with a hero yet. Just an ordinary person."

"Thank you," Simon said kindly. "Next, Yvonne Bright."

A tall girl with long black hair stood up. Her posture was straight, her expression calm.

"Hi. I'm Yvonne Bright, from Ningzhou. I successfully bonded with the B-Class hero, Hellblizzard."

The room exploded.

"What?! Hellblizzard?"

"No way… that's a top-tier B-Class hero!"

"But this is a third-rate university…"

Whispers filled the room. People couldn't believe their ears.

Bonding with a B-Class hero like Hellblizzard was a major achievement. Even mid-tier schools would fight over a student like that.

So… why was she here?

Yvonne continued, her voice unshaken.

"However, I didn't inherit her psychic powers. Only one of her… interests."

Silence.

The room went dead quiet.

Wait, what?

Just one of her hobbies?

Vincent's eyes twitched.

That can happen?!

He suddenly felt lucky. If all he had inherited from Saitama was his bald head and deadpan stare… he'd be screwed.

The students were murmuring again.

"I didn't know that was possible…""No wonder she's here.""Well… at least she has an attribute panel."

Counselor Simon raised a hand. "Quiet, please. Thank you, Yvonne, for your honesty."

She scanned the list. "Next… Vincent Fox."

Vincent stood calmly, hands at his sides.

"Hello. I'm Vincent Fox, from Baoan City. I've also bonded with a hero a C-Class hero."

Boom.

Chaos.

The room erupted even louder than before!

"A C-Class hero?!"

"Why even bother saying that out loud?!"

"Dude's got guts…"

"Was it Mumen Rider or something?"

Vincent remained calm in the face of the laughter and noise.

Only he knew… the C-Class hero he bonded with…

Was Saitama.

And in this world?

That made him unstoppable.
