Chapter 10: Forbidden Zone #2… a Zombie Apocalypse?

If Yvonne Bright's introduction had merely shocked the class…

Then Vincent Fox's revelation?

It blew the roof off.

"Did he just say… C-Class hero?!""Is this guy for real? That's basically career suicide!""Vincent Fox… what a madman!""Yvonne at least got unlucky. But this guy chose a trash hero? On purpose?""I respect that. He's either insane or fearless… and either way, he's got my respect."

The lecture hall buzzed with whispers and stares.

Everyone looked at Vincent like he was either a genius or a lunatic.

Even Counselor Helena Hayes paused, visibly startled.

Vincent?

He sat there like nothing had happened. Calm. Quiet. Unbothered.

Let them talk.

He knew something they didn't.

He hadn't picked a C-Class hero… he had picked the C-Class hero. The strongest man in the universe Saitama.

The others could chase after B-Class gimmicks or S-Class legends.

Vincent was playing a longer game.

"Ahem…" Counselor Hayes cleared her throat, regaining composure. "Thank you, Vincent, for your… unique introduction. Let's move on. Beau Li?"

Roll call continued. Eventually, the class elections followed.

The girl voted as class president was tall, calm, elegant exactly the type boys gravitated toward.

Yvonne Bright was elected vice president, earning silent nods of respect.

By noon, orientation was complete.

Then came the real surprise their first official class.

An elderly professor entered, hunched under the weight of several thick, ancient-looking books.

"Who's class president?" he asked without looking up.

The serene class president stepped forward, gracefully taking the tomes and handing them out to her classmates.

Vincent received his copy.

The moment he flipped it open gasp.

Dozens of gasps filled the room as students stared at page after page of gruesome illustrations.

Rotting flesh. Bloodied mouths. Blank, soulless eyes.

Every image was a horrifyingly lifelike depiction of the undead.

"AHH!" a girl shrieked, dropping her book."What… what are these things?"

The professor finally looked up, adjusting his glasses.

"What you see are the creatures of the Second Forbidden Zone," he said calmly. "Official classification: Zombies. Once human… now infected. Mindless predators."

The room fell silent.

He continued, his tone flat, matter-of-fact.

"Starting today, you will study the contents of Forbidden Zone #2. You have one month to memorize everything… and begin combat training. After that, you'll enter the zone yourselves. Survive or don't. These zombies… will be your greatest threat."

Vincent narrowed his eyes.

So this was the next phase…

Zone One had been the One Punch Man world a place where students bonded with heroes.

But Zone Two?

A zombie apocalypse.

He flipped through more pages.

There were more than just zombies.

Infected ravens. Mutated dogs. Twisted, grotesque beasts.

His gaze froze on one particular page a drawing of a zombie dog.

Thick fur. Red eyes. Bared fangs.

It looked familiar.

Weirdly familiar.

As if he'd seen this exact creature before in another life… or another world.

Vincent's thoughts began to race.

"Is this… from Resident Evil?"

A terrifying possibility began to form in his mind.

If Zone One came from One Punch Man

Then Zone Two…

Was this a world based on Resident Evil?
