Wu Zhi went to grab some things from his abode. Last time he was unprepared, this time he was going all out. He brought some spare clothes, folded them up nice to be able to carry them, he got a towel, a blanket, and a broom as well. He looked a little weird as he was slowly making his way to the hollow caves. A six year old boy dragging along what looked like all of his possessions to an unknown location certainly drew some raised eyebrows.
When he finally made his way back to the hollow caves he saw the receptionist there with a wide smile on her face. "Alright kid, we have prepared you a room with all your requests, please follow me". He slowly waddled his way forward carful not to drop anything he was currently holding. "This is your room". He saw what that the room looked just like the last one but bigger and with one glaring difference. One side of the wall just didn't exist. Instead it was a huge hole with a beautiful view of clouds and the open world. "Woah" he muttered as he made his way into the room. A huge rumbling spread through the room as a boulder moved into place to block the entrance. He just managed to see the receptionist grin from ear to ear before they blocked the way. "I guess this is my home for the next eight years" he said to himself.
The first thing he did was to set his things down. Have a proper organization of clothes and to make sure everything was clean and tidy. There were no candles in this room, because he had the sun for light. He made sure to bring the incense, a broom for cleaning up any unsavory waste, changes of cloths, a blanket, and towels. He made sure he was given enough food pills, enough disposable bags, and that everything was there. If they had forgot to give him food pills he would have no choice but to just starve to death. So it was very important he made sure they wouldn't get contaminated or fall of the cliff. Once that was done he checked the "window" to find that it was just a strait drop. It was a sheer cliff, with no safety measures or anything. 'I wonder if anyone has committed suicide this way' he thought to himself. All in all everything was set, it was time to see how much progress he would make in the 32 hidden acupunctures art in 8 years. He had managed to find 2 in his first month of cultivation. It should be noted that he broke through right as he opened the second acupuncture. He wasn't even trying to advance his cultivation yet. He was just dead set on first building up his foundation before he tried to increase his cultivation. There was a big difference between the two. Foundation determined how strong you were in your current cultivation level. It also determined how far you could go in your cultivation journey and how easy it was to break through at higher levels of cultivation. It also got harder to make a better foundation the higher level of cultivation you were. This is why it was so important to focus foundation before you start your cultivation. Rushing your cultivation before you set a proper foundation would doom you for harder cultivation in the future. It was a matter of sacrificing your future to gain some power quickly. If you have the option to do the opposite: sacrificing a lot of time in the present to gain power in the future. Then it was better to do so. That is why he was so dead set on increasing his foundation. It was because it was the best option for his future.
He sat facing the beautiful view of the world. Gently lighting some incense with the device that causes a spark of fire with some qi used. He got into the lotus position and took a deep breath of the fresh air mixed with incense.
The years passed by in a slow flash
the wind and snow dancing with the rain
a world removed from all the mundane
a world slow to change
a world that houses countless lives
a world engrossed in giving life
sitting atop a mountain cave
an unmoving mountain weathered in rain
unmoved by frivolous change
a testament to all the sane.
In year one of secluded cultivation I unlocked 9 more acupunctures putting me at 11 total and breaking me through to the third level of qi refinement.
In year two of secluded cultivation I managed to unlock 5 more acupuncture points putting me at 16 total and the forth level of qi refinement.
In year three of secluded cultivation I managed to unlock 7 more acupuncture points putting me at 23 total and the fifth level of qi refinement. This year I was really lucky and splurged on the incense.
In year four of secluded cultivation I managed to unlock 3 more acupuncture points putting me at 26 total and the fifth level of qi refinement. I was very conservative this year as I had splurged the last year.
In year five of secluded cultivation I managed to unlock 2 more acupuncture points putting me at 28 total and the sixth level of qi refinement. It was starting to get really hard to find the acupuncture points. But at the same time he could feel these ones were different. They were more powerful and gave stronger and better benefits.
In year six of secluded cultivation I managed to unlock 2 more acupuncture points putting me at 30 total and the seventh level of qi refinement. Now like before, it only took 2 acupuncture points to increase my cultivation by one level. He was really excited to see what how much this last two acupuncture points would give him.
In year seven of secluded cultivation I managed to unlock 1 more acupuncture point putting me at 31 total and the seventh level of qi refinement. Now that the last year was coming up and I still had one more acupuncture to unlock, it was time to use all of my reserves for incense in the last year.
Finally in year eight of secluded cultivation I managed to barely unlock 1 more acupuncture point giving me a total of 32 hidden acupunctures and putting me in the eighth level of qi refinement.
