Chapter 5

My mom was worried about me, so she insisted on sending me home while my dad stayed at the hospital to take care of Yueyue.

Returning to the long-familiar villa and seeing the unchanged princess room, the guilt in my heart reached its peak.

My parents treasured me since I was a child, yet I've turned myself into a worn-out woman.

The thought of divorcing Chen Hao reached its climax at this moment!

Perhaps because I was back home, my tense nerves suddenly relaxed.

The next day, when I woke up, the sun was already shining brightly outside.

I picked up my phone and glanced at the time; it was already half-past eight in the morning.

Remembering yesterday's plan to meet Chen Hao at the Civil Affairs Bureau for a divorce at nine, I called him.

On the phone, Chen Hao's voice sounded tired, but his tone remained arrogant, "I knew you would regret it! Alright, considering you've been sensible all these years, I'll give you another chance! I'm feeling under the weather and want to eat the noodles you make. Have them ready and delivered to my house in half an hour, then I'll forgive you!"

Hearing Chen Hao mention the noodles, my heart suddenly ached.

The reason I fell in love with Chen Hao was because he took me to eat a bowl of noodles on my birthday.

At that time, my parents were so busy with their business that they even forgot my birthday.

Angry, I ran off to drink alone, but since I hadn't eaten anything, I had a gastritis flare-up.

When I was on the verge of fainting from pain, Chen Hao brought over a bowl of clumped noodles to me.

Just because of this bowl of noodles, I convinced myself that Chen Hao was a man worth entrusting my life to.

Even if it meant severing ties with my parents, I was determined to marry him!

That bowl of clumped noodles was originally meant to be discarded!

He merely handed me something unwanted.

And yet, I've sacrificed five years of my youth for it!

Thinking about it now, I really feel that ending up like this is what I deserve.

"Yu Qing, did you hear what I said?"

I heard Chen Hao's cold voice coming from the other end of the phone.

I took a deep breath, suppressed the surging emotions, and after a while, I said, "Okay, I'll be right over!"

After breakfast, I had Aunt Chen make a bowl of noodles, and then I prepared to go to Chen Hao.

My mother asked if she should accompany me, but I refused!

This relationship, like a moth to a flame, was started by me alone.

It should also be ended by me alone!
