Noticing Pidgeot's lingering battle intent, the recently awakened Weezing immediately became nervous. Its previous battle with Pidgeot had made Weezing clearly aware of the power gap between them.
"Stop messing around. You're so big, yet still so childish," Red playfully patted Pidgeot's wing.
"Pidgeot~" Pidgeot lowered its head in grievance. Weezing had played dirty first, so why couldn't it seek justice?
"I'm sorry, Pidgeot. It was my order for Weezing to use Destiny Bond," Koga apologized, taking the initiative to apologize to the angry bird. This made Pidgeot's mood slightly better, but it still didn't give Weezing a friendly look.
Beep beep beep…
The Pokédex in Red's pocket suddenly vibrated. Puzzled, Red took it out and pressed the switch.
"It looks like I'll have to temporarily change my team." After reading the email from Professor Oak, Red couldn't help but reveal a joyful smile.
"Mr. Koga, and Janine. I have things to do, so I'll be leaving first." After speaking, Red waved goodbye to Koga and Janine, jumped onto Pidgeot's back, and left the Fuchsia Gym with Beedrill by his side.
"Goodbye! I look forward to the day you become the Champion of the Indigo Plateau Conference!" Koga shouted, waving goodbye to Red.
"Remember to come visit when you have time~," Janine said, waving.
The endless prairie, constantly exuding the aura of nature—this was the Safari Zone. After changing his Pokémon lineup at the Pokémon Center in Fuchsia City, Red immediately set off on his journey, no longer staying in the city for a single second. Most of the Pokémon living in the Safari Zone are raised by the local Laramie clan, a nomadic people once hailed as being on par with Pokémon breeders. However, this clan is not cruel; they simply enjoy living in natural environments.
"A nice resting place." Red took a deep breath. Compared to the polluted air of bustling cities, the air in nature was more to his liking.
"Let's send you two guys out first!" Red said with a hint of excitement, throwing out the two Poké Balls in his hand.
As two white lights dissipated, a tall and mighty steel figure and a black-red figure appeared simultaneously before Red's eyes. A giant Pokémon, tall as a building, covered in heavy metal, with a fierce face and a tail resembling a nail, and a Pokémon entirely covered in black-red light metal armor, with two pairs of translucent wings on its back, and giant pincers with eye-like patterns used to intimidate opponents.
The two Pokémon that appeared before Red were the Steelix and Scizor, which had evolved after receiving a Metal Coat.
Upon seeing Red, Steelix's previously fierce expression instantly turned gentle and honest. It joyfully approached Red, but fearing its metallic body might scratch him, it hesitated to rub against him.
"It's okay, Steelix. I'm very happy to be reunited with you," Red said with a smile, stroking Steelix's cheek, which made it happily narrow its eyes.
Scizor, on the other hand, showed off its speed, instantly appearing behind Red and actively hugging his body, joyfully leaning on his shoulder.
"Since you two have successfully evolved, it's time to replace your abilities." As soon as the words fell, Red placed his hands on Steelix and Scizor, replacing their abilities.
Ding! Sturdy ability has been changed to Sheer Force ability!
Ding! Swarm ability has been changed to Light Metal ability!
Upon gaining the new ability, Scizor was the first to change. Its metal armor condensed further, becoming even lighter and thinner, which also boosted its speed.

To celebrate the evolution of Steelix and Scizor, Red simply replaced his Pokémon team, recalling his current party and then releasing Beedrill, Charizard, Pidgeot, and the Blood-Red Gyarados.
The Blood-Red Gyarados, who hadn't been back for a long time, also excitedly approached Red, joyfully rubbing against his cheek.
'It seems both of your strengths have improved,' Charizard congratulated, then smugly smirked, 'Too bad you're still weak to my flames.'
'Look how excited you are,' Steelix said speechlessly.
'It's just a shame Gengar isn't here, otherwise I'd really show him my current strength!' Scizor said leisurely. With Steel-type moves, this time Scizor wouldn't be completely countered by the Millennium Gengar's typing.
Due to the appearance of the six Pokémon, the pressure they emitted made the surrounding wild Pokémon tremble. A brave Growlithe ran resolutely in front of the six Pokémon, letting out a roar to try and intimidate them, but unfortunately, its own strength was too weak to affect the aura of the six Pokémon at all.
'So noisy!' the Blood-Red Gyarados roared furiously, letting out a powerful Intimidate that cowed the Growlithe. The Growlithe that had roared earlier instantly turned pale, trembling with shaky legs, not even having the courage to turn and run away. The Gyarados's roar also sent shivers down the spines of the surrounding Tauros that were grazing, causing them to become agitated in fear, wanting to flee.
"Viridian Power!" Red whispered, emitting a gentle aura to soothe the many agitated wild Pokémon, preventing further chaos.
"Alright, don't scare them," Red said with a slight hint of criticism, telling the Blood-Red Gyarados not to be so irritable all the time.
"I'm sorry, please be merciful! This is a Safari Zone, and trainers are not allowed to catch Pokémon here!"
A girl riding a Ponyta urgently came before Red, nervously asking him to stop.
"I apologize. My Pokémon were just too excited to be reunited with the group. I have no intention of catching Pokémon here." Red expressed his apology to the girl, and the Blood-Red Gyarados, seeing this, also lowered its head slightly and grunted a few times, which could barely be considered an apology.
"I see. It seems I misunderstood you." The girl said with relief, introducing herself to Red, "I am Lara Laramie from the Laramie clan. These Tauros are Pokémon raised by my family, and this Growlithe serves as a guard, which is why I rashly offended you. Please don't take it to heart."
"I won't interfere with your lives. I will leave with my companions shortly." Since his original team had gathered, Red decided to arrange for a good day of relaxation, temporarily stopping the daily training sessions, and enjoying the tranquility of nature with his companions.
