Attention Trying To Cover Up

Yohan's birthday party became a complete mess after the commotion, and Claudia left the party along with Davion and his secretary.

Yohan was still slumped over, wondering how he was going to pay the credit card bill.

He didn't expect that Claudia had set him up by stealing his credit card and using it as the payment she made a few days ago.

Now he had to bear the shame and also the burden of a huge debt.

"Stephanie baby, I really need your help. I need to pay off my credit card debt in one week. Otherwise, I'll be in big trouble!" Yohan said pleadingly as he held Stephanie's hand.

Of course, she felt a bit uncomfortable with Yohan's request. Even though he was her boyfriend now, it should be Yohan who gave her the money and not her who gave Yohan the money.

"I don't have that much money either. How can I lend it to you!" she replied.

"I will give you whatever you want, as long as you can help me for now. Do me a favor, I don't want to go to jail for this!" he said as he continued to plead.

However, Stephanie looked upset about it. She questioned, where would Yohan get the money from?

The man's company just doesn't move at all and continues to be stuck without any development. It also didn't get any projects that might promise a lot of money.

That of course made Stephanie very hesitant to lend him her money.

But because Yohan kept begging, Stephanie finally relented and she would ask her father to pay off Yohan's credit card bill in the meantime.

"Thank you, thank you dear! I knew I could count on you!" Yohan said happily but inside he still held a grudge and resentment towards Claudia.

She had deceived him, and it was obvious that Claudia didn't really want him anymore. Now she had thrown him away, and Yohan felt that he had to do something to get back at her.

'You'll see, Claudia. I'll definitely get back at you for what you've done to me. I will destroy you completely. And so will my father!'

In front of the Hotel building, Claudia stood together with Davion waiting for his secretary to arrive with his car.

The wind was blowing so softly but it was so cold that it pierced the skin. Claudia who was wearing shoulder off clothes, felt a little cold on her back and shoulders.

"Alex is getting my car because, I'm going to drive you home," Davion said.

"Yes. Thank you, Mr. Davion," she said.

"I didn't expect Yohan to go that far. What you said a few weeks ago turned out to be true, even if he is family, I shouldn't trust him too much," he said with a sharp glare.

Claudia could see the disappointment and sadness behind Davion's sharp gaze. She knew the man was disappointed at his own son's behavior that was so rude and arbitrary.

"Now you know, and I hope you can start to be more wary of the people around you," Claudia said as she rubbed the arm of the middle-aged man standing tall beside her.

In the middle of the cold night, Davion realized that Claudia was feeling cold because of her revealing clothes.

Thinking that he would take off his coat to put it on Claudia's shoulders, Davion instead pulled the woman into his arms. Hugging her warmly while shielding her from the gazes of the hungry men around them for seeing her beauty.

"Mr. Davion?" Claudia gasped in surprise as Davion pulled her into a warm embrace.

His large body seemed to embrace her, making her feel so warm when their bodies touched.

The long coat on Davion's shoulders also seemed to cover her.

A smile appeared on her beautiful face, not only her body now felt warm but her heart as well.

"Where is Alex? Why did he take so long just to get my car?" he muttered as he felt a bit awkward when he felt Claudia's small body pressed against his chest.

From the closest distance there was, he could feel Claudia's soft hair under his chin. The scent of citrus was so strong, just like when she hugged her in the kitchen while cooking dinner.

Claudia chuckled when it seemed that Davion felt awkward with her.

"The way you define affection is very unique, Mr. Davion. You may look cold and indifferent, but you show it directly with simple gestures like the one you are doing right now."

He cleared his throat softly and asked Claudia not to misunderstand what he was doing.

"I just couldn't let you get cold. This is a normal thing to do. I don't want to be seen as a jerk for letting a woman get cold," he replied.

"You could have taken off your coat for me if you really wanted to keep me warm. You were still wearing your thick suit," Claudia replied again.

Instantly her answer made Davion speechless and didn't know what else to answer. Claudia had the points for that, he just needed to lend her his coat. But instead he pulled Claudia towards him in order to warm up together.

'Damn, she could have said something back to me. She's a smart woman,' Davion thought as he massaged the bridge of his nose.

It wasn't long before Davion's car finally arrived and they drove away to Claudia's residence.

During the trip, they were silent without saying anything while sitting next to each other. Davion seemed to be lost in his own thoughts filled with the trouble his son had made, and also Claudia's presence that made his anger a little better.

'How can I handle such a stupid problem sometimes, without her. She just makes me feel calm. Whereas before I was so angry, considering what Yohan had done was so outrageous,' he thought in frustration.

In the midst of his muddled thoughts, Claudia suddenly leaned on his shoulder which surprised him a little. As soon as he turned his head, it turned out that she had fallen asleep and there was a look of innocence and exhaustion on her face.

"Ms. Claudia?" He tried to wake her up by shaking her shoulder slightly.

But he immediately stopped doing that, and let Claudia fall asleep on his shoulder while he rubbed her head.

Alex who realized it immediately looked at the center mirror of the car, and he smiled slightly as he watched Davion who was focused on Claudia who was sleeping on his shoulder.

Davian could again feel Claudia's soft hair on his cheek, and he also leaned slightly against her.

"Alex," he called.

"Yes, Mr. Davidson?" said Alex.

The middle-aged man was silent for a moment, looking at the sleeping Claudia and then back at Alex.

"Turn the car around, we're going straight back to my house now."
