Peeping Tom

"Call me?" Rachel pointed to herself with her slender, pale finger, blinking in surprise as she looked at Denise with wide, questioning eyes. "Are you sure you mean me? What do you want me to do?"

Denise gave her a strange look but nodded firmly.

Everyone around them started whispering, all thinking the same thing, was she about to get in trouble?

Would she walk in upright and be carried out on a stretcher?

Rachel was nervous as she carefully stepped inside.

The office was decorated in sleek black and white, with luxurious leather sofas and an elegant wooden desk.

Even the paintings on the walls looked like they belonged in a museum, everything just screamed money and class.

Kellan sat on a black sofa beside the massive floor-to-ceiling window, his back to her.

His tall, straight posture carried this natural nobility, like a king or some kind of immortal.

Even from behind, he radiated this insane elegance and authority that made her nervous just looking at him.

Rachel caught a glimpse of his side profile, sharp and flawless, like it was sculpted from marble.

His straight nose, defined jaw, and smooth, cold expression made him look untouchable, like someone from another world.

He just sat there, and the whole room felt like it was under his control.

Rachel's palms were sweaty. Her heart was pounding so hard she thought it might fly right out of her chest.

This was the fanciest place she'd ever been in her life, and the man in front of her... he was clearly the kind of rich that existed in movies.

But why had he called her in? Was it because of the coffee spill? Did she piss him off?

His cold face gave nothing away, but his aura was heavy. It almost felt hard to breathe just standing in the same room.

"Hi... about the coffee earlier, it really was an accident," Rachel said nervously, her voice soft as she forced a smile. "I'll clean it up right away."

"There's a restroom inside. Go change out of those dirty clothes," Kellan said calmly, his voice low and smooth like a cello, but totally lacking warmth.

He didn't even turn around. It was obvious he didn't want to see her messy state any longer.

Rachel looked down at her stained sweater and jeans, suddenly understanding. He wasn't mad, he just wanted her to clean up.

For some reason, that thought made her heart feel a little lighter.

Maybe he wasn't so scary after all?

"No, thank you!" Rachel replied with a polite smile. She didn't want to change clothes.

She just wanted to finish up and get out of there. There was still work waiting at the store, and she had to cook dinner for Cora.

"Go change. Now." Kellan raised an eyebrow. His tone was no longer calm, it had turned darker, colder, with a quiet edge to it.

He hadn't expected her to say no. Most women would probably faint if he told them to change in his private lounge.

But this one? She straight-up rejected him.

"Thank you, but really, I don't need to, if there's nothing else..."

Before she could finish, Kellan finally turned around and looked at her.

Rachel froze.

His features were absolutely perfect.

Those dark brows, that straight nose, the sharp cheekbones, and his deep black eyes that looked like they could pierce your soul.

Just one look, and her whole body trembled.

She forgot what she was saying. Her heart skipped a beat. Her cheeks turned pink, and her eyes widened in panic.

He wasn't just handsome...he was dangerously good-looking. But right now, his vibe was terrifying.

If she didn't go change, she seriously felt like he might bite her head off.

Without another word, she quickly walked toward the lounge he'd mentioned.

But she couldn't stop wondering, why did he seem annoyed when she didn't want to change clothes?

Wasn't she doing him a favor by not dragging this out? She really needed to get going.

Kellan watched her go, raising one eyebrow slightly.

Every other woman he'd met would do anything to get closer to him. If he told them to change clothes, they'd probably run, not walk.

But this girl? She acted like she couldn't wait to leave.

He actually found it... kind of funny.

The lounge turned out to be huge. The walls were soft blue, and the vibe was warm and cozy.

But what shocked Rachel most was, this room was filled with clothes and shoes!

It felt like she'd just walked into a mini shopping mall.

She blinked a few times in disbelief.

The wardrobe had tons of simple shirts, t-shirts, and pants, nothing too flashy, but every single item looked expensive.

Super high quality. And most of them still had tags on.

Her eyes widened even more when she saw the logos.

They were all from luxury brands.

In the end, she picked out the cheapest-looking white t-shirt and a pair of black shorts that were a bit too big. She tucked the t-shirt into the shorts.

The clothes were such good quality and felt super comfortable on her body.

But still, it was her first time ever wearing someone else's clothes, especially a guy's, so it felt kind of awkward.

She folded her own dirty clothes into a bag, lowered her head, and walked out quietly and kind of shyly.

Bang!

She accidentally bumped into someone's chest and quickly looked up, right into a flawless, god-tier face.

His sharp features, icy expression, and those deep black eyes gave off a cold, powerful vibe.

This man was way too handsome, and being this close made Rachel's heart go wild like a rabbit about to jump out of her chest.

"Thank you. The clothes in there all looked too expensive," Rachel said, her cheeks turning pink.

Her voice was soft and a little panicked, and her dark eyes sparkled nervously. "I picked out the cheapest one. I'll wash it and return it to you."

She seriously thought it was the cheapest one, it didn't even have a price tag!

Kellan had just stepped out of the bathroom after taking a call and didn't expect to be bumped into.

His deep, unreadable eyes narrowed slightly, showing a trace of displeasure as he looked down at her, his whole vibe cold and king-like.

Her face was soft and clear like the sky after a rain, clean and beautiful.

Her short black hair framed her face perfectly.

She looked young and delicate, her cheeks flushed from embarrassment.

Her bright eyes were so clear they reminded him of gems, and the white t-shirt tucked into those black shorts actually made her look really fresh and cute in a way only young girls could pull off.

Kellan noticed that Rachel hadn't shown the slightest interest in the expensive clothes inside.

Her eyes weren't greedy or excited at all. She didn't care about brands or luxury, not even a little.

"The cheapest one?" Kellan raised his eyebrow, the corner of his lips curving into a mysterious smile.

Rachel got flustered the moment she saw that smile. Her brain short-circuited.

Everyone else might've thought his smile was breathtaking, even irresistible, but to her right now? It felt kinda dangerous, like he was a wolf eyeing Little Red Riding Hood.

"What are you doing here?" Rachel looked up at him, wide-eyed with disbelief.

Wait a second... Was he here the whole time?

No way, was he peeping?

No wonder he kept telling her to go change clothes!

It all made sense now.

Just a second ago she was feeling kind of touched, thinking he was a decent person... but she never expected this.

This gorgeous CEO might actually be a total pervert!

Without thinking, she blurted it out.
