"You pervert!!! Were you peeking here?"
Rachel glared at Kellan, furious.
When he heard those words come out of her mouth, Kellan was stunned for a second.
Then, instead of getting angry, he actually smiled. He was the CEO of the Elliott Family Group, the top-tier president in all of Blackwood City.
With a noble identity and super high status, he was known as a diamond-level bachelor.
Women who lined up just to flirt with him could literally form a line all the way into outer space.
Peeking at her?
Kellan almost laughed out loud. This woman's brain really worked differently from others.
"Hm? Where did I even look? There's nothing special to see on your chest," Kellan teased, lips curving into a wicked grin.
He really did peek!!!
Then he must've seen everything.
For Rachel, who was totally innocent and had never even dated before, it was way too shocking.
Her face turned bright red in a flash, and she raised her hand to hit him.
Kellan grabbed her hand and leaned in closer.
"Aren't you afraid I'll eat you up?" he asked, his voice carrying a strange, magnetic charm.
Because he was so close, the breath he exhaled landed on her face, warm and itchy.
She felt embarrassed, insulted, and panicked, holding her other hand up in front of her chest as she tried to back away.
Would he actually eat her?! This was his turf, and they were all alone…
That thought rushed through Rachel's mind. She panicked and instinctively shoved at him, trying to get away.
But Kellan didn't miss a single one of her movements.
He was clearly just messing with her now. He pulled her into his arms from behind, locking her in his embrace.
His face was dangerously close to hers, just a finger's width away.
She'd never been this close to a guy before. Her whole face turned red, and her heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest.
"You… let go!" Rachel shouted, struggling hard and kicking at him.
She couldn't believe this man, who had looked so quiet and calm, could be this shameless!
He totally didn't match his perfect handsome face at all. He was like some beast pretending to be human!
Rachel kept struggling, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get free from his grip.
"So desperate to seduce me?" Kellan smirked, his eyes full of wickedness.
Who was seducing who here?! Was he delusional or something? He was the one hugging her!
Rachel stared at him like he was crazy.
Then she glanced down, and realized her loose T-shirt had been pulled down during the struggle, exposing a big part of her chest.
"You pervert!" she snapped, her voice full of rage.
If he hadn't grabbed her, how would her shirt have slipped like that?! She honestly wanted to curse his ancestors ten generations back.
Kellan noticed how red her face had gotten, and his interest only grew stronger.
He leaned in and kissed her lips.
For some reason… the feeling was familiar.
Rachel was losing her mind. How had she ended up meeting such a bossy, rude, and insane man?!
"Let go of me, you jerk!!"
Rachel shouted weakly, "You let go of me..."
Then, out of nowhere, she burst into tears like a child.
All the pain from five years ago came rushing back to her, the pain of being kicked out by her uncle, the pain of raising her child all alone.
She tried to hold it in, but her eyes were already brimming with tears. Still, she stubbornly lifted her head and refused to let them fall.
But... one tear still slipped down her cheek.
Kellan froze, hesitating for a long moment.
He didn't like losing control like this. Honestly, he'd never planned to even mess with this woman.
But now... he looked at her face, her tears falling one by one onto his chest, and something weird stirred in his heart.
A strange kind of pity flashed through him for just a second.
And in that second, Rachel bit him, hard. She bit him with all the anger and pain she'd held in for so long.
She was seriously pissed off. If her eyes could kill, he'd be dead ten times over.
Kellan snapped out of it and shoved her away, his face full of coldness.
That tiny flash of pity in his chest? Gone. Completely.
Rachel yanked herself free and tried to run. She couldn't stand staying there for even one more second.
But Kellan blocked her path with one arm. His expression was calm but icy.
"Don't forget to return the clothes. They were expensive," he said, raising an eyebrow and smirking.
Rachel almost exploded.
She seriously wanted to go change and throw the clothes back in his face, but she was scared he'd just stand there and watch her.
This man was a perv.
She cursed him in her heart.
"What, you're cursing me now? Not scared I'll file a complaint?" Kellan said slowly, his voice totally unreadable.
Complaint?!
This guy!!
Rachel felt like her brain was going to break. He did all this gross stuff, and now she couldn't even curse him in her head?!
Her lips twitched from anger. All she wanted was to bring him a coffee, and he ended up kissing her!
And now he was threatening her too?!
But she couldn't afford to let him ruin her job.
Stella was already waiting to stab her in the back.
Rachel looked at Cora nearby and sighed. She had no choice.
She forced herself to act calm. "Fine. I'll bring it back to you tomorrow," she said through clenched teeth.
Her face, which had just been full of rage, now pulled into a fake smile.
She was dying inside though, she wanted to grab her phone and just smash it against the wall.
Kellan noticed the look in her eyes and raised an eyebrow.
Instead of being mad, he looked... amused.
He took out his own phone and dialed a number.
"Fate brought us together in chaos, but destiny wants us to fall in love in danger..."
Rachel's phone rang.
"Save it," Kellan said. His voice was calm, but there was something commanding in it.
Rachel didn't want to argue anymore. She just asked for his name.
"Kellan," he said coldly, his eyes darkening.
Rachel quickly saved the contact as Rogue Elliott, making sure he couldn't see it.
"I should go now," she mumbled, and didn't wait for him to reply.
She bolted like she was running from a fire.
"You're getting more and more interesting," Kellan said with a chuckle.
Most women would throw themselves at him. But Rachel? She acted like he had a contagious disease.
As he watched her slim figure disappear, a flash of something crossed his gaze.
When he held her earlier, she gave off this rare feeling of innocence. Her clear, bright eyes had this stubborn, scared look in them.
And under the soft light... she looked really pure.
Hard to believe this was the same woman people said was a mistress... and even had a child?
Kellan frowned.
Something wasn't adding up.
It was seriously hard to connect that kind of purity with the word shameless.
