Chapter 89: A Wild Sage Appeared

Dark Lord's POV:

I have never felt so relieved. For a moment there I thought my little Noxy had cheated on me, but it seems I was mistaken as the doofus she was shaking unconscious seemed to have fallen for one of her many tricks. I confirmed that she had nothing down there myself, and she couldn't use illusions to hide it back then. Although it seems like she doesn't have an entrance either, but I am sure that was just one of Noxy's methods to save herself for me. Speaking of, there was something important I needed to confirm.

"Hey Noxy! How old are you?"

"Why do you want to know?" She responded while she continued to shake the doofus.

"A little birdy once told me you were 14!"

"…"

Just then she dropped the doofus and the girl through a spatial portal, as she turned to look at me.

"Ah! So, it is the truth then! No wonder you ran away!" I said as I teleported behind her to give her a hug.

*BANG*

"Ouch!"

Just as I was about to catch her, she had suddenly turned around at a blinding speed and slugged me so hard I flew to the other side of town. I looked up to see Noxy heading my way.

"So, you want to play then! Fine by me!" I said as I was taking a stance to receive my beloved, but right before she flew into my arms…

*BANG*

An old dwarf with a long and lushes' gray beard, sporting a set of matching gauntlets and boots suddenly appeared above my flying Noxy and pinned her to the ground by her neck. I was about to kill him for interfering when I realized who it was.

"If you want to fight then do it elsewhere!"

The man holding down my little imp was one of the three strongest magicians in the world. The sage of runes, 'Olaf Gladstone'.

"Kind sir, would you be so kind as to hand this little imp to me?"

"Hm! You are the young upstart who made a fuss awhile back, are you not?" The Gladstone said as he looked up at me.

"I do not need a repeat of that time so if you will leave in peace the-!"

*BOOM*

Just then, while he was distracted, my Noxy exploded. The sage got away without a scratch as he was protected by a transparent barrier. My Noxy on the other hand managed to escape his grasp and had fled to places unknown.

"She ran away again." I could feel my anger growing as I looked at the elderly man.

"That was not me! She blew herself up to escape my grasp!" The elderly man said in a panic.

*Sigh*

I realize there would be no point in lashing out at this old fool as it would only worsen my current predicament. I took a deep breath as I made to leave.

"One moment young man!" The old fool said as he blocked my path.

"I do not have the time or patience to prattle with you today! Now begone from my path!" I said as my aura started leaking out and destroying my surroundings.

The old man seemed to be unfaced by my aura as he said.

"You and that mage you employ, already made a mess of things the last time you were here! I hope for both of your sakes that you aren't planning to ruin this year as well." He said as a chest plate and leggings matching his boots and gauntlets appeared over his body.

"That all depends on whether or not I am to find the woman you just let loose!" I said as I was getting ready to kill.
