Chapter 140: Chou Part 5: Lets Threaten An Emperor!
Sakura's POV:
After the auction house was opened, it seemed as though all opposition from our competitors just vanished as our brand only grew larger by each day that passed. Eventually, whether it was from a lack of customers, a crooked official in that demon's pocket, or a swift but deadly case of arson, all the shops not owned by the Jewel Rabbit corporation had to shut down. By the end of October, all businesses within the capital of Chou, from the bakeries to the weapon shops, were all owned by us.
As you can imagine, we were now sitting on a fortune that was only growing larger by the day. More than enough to fund an army, but from what I can tell, it doesn't seem like that woman still remembers our deal as ever since she gave up on controlling my mind, she has mostly just been lazing about within her fancy new quarters she had constructed within the auction house.
I would tell her off, but she had not lifted her order for me to remain mute. Hence, I have been unable to speak since August. So, after losing my patience I wrote down all my complaints and concerns on a piece of paper, before rushing into her room, intending to shove it in her face as a last-ditch effort before seeing if maybe I could get in contact with Thomas should she brush me off again. But…
"N-N-NO! W-WAIT!"
I saw a masked, silver-haired girl, even smaller than me, wearing one of our kid-sized 'Rainbow Rabbit Swimsuits', while holding a hacksaw to that demon's head. For the first time I witnessed that inhuman face showing fear, as she struggled to get away from the masked girl, who was pinning her to the ground next to the jacuzzi. She looked like she was about to saw off that demon's head when she suddenly turned her attention to me.
"Hm? Oh, there you are! I was looking for you! But why are you dressed like a fancy furry?" She asked.
Seeing no signs of hostility in her tone, I tried to inquire about who she was, but…
"Why are you writing this? Last I checked you weren't a mute! Wait? HA! Mad A.M. you really told her to shut up forever using the soul contract? She must have been some annoying brat, or you have been abusing your contract privileges a bit too much!" She spoke before turning to look at the demon who seemed to go paler with each second that passed.
"Anyways, you can speak now wabbit girl!" The girl spoke as I could feel something change.
"Uh! Ah! Oh! I-I ca-n sp-eak?" I stuttered in surprise, as I struggled to speak after three months of being mute.
Whoever this girl was, she must be much higher up the pecking order than this demon I have been working for. Otherwise, that demon wouldn't shrink away in fear of this girl the way she was.
"Shit! It's contagious! Madam I'm throwing you into quarantine until a vaccine for your condition has been discovered! Bye-bye!"
*Splash*
"What?! Wait, NOOOOOO!"
Before I could formulate a proper sentence to ask her name, she threw that demon into the swirling water. As the water eventually turned a murky red, the demon sank into the vortex. As to where she went, I am not sure I want to know because moments later the masked girl pulled an almost naked man out from under the water.
"Whoa! What the! Who is that?! Don't look at me!"
I struggled to follow what was going on as I was feeling flustered upon witnessing the naked form of a man for the first time.
It wasn't until, the little girl transformed into the devil I once made a deal with that I recalled who the naked man was. Back when I first met the devil, I was being chased through the forest by my bastard cousin and his men. Back then I had begged the young man this devil accompanied to save me. He had one-sidedly demolished them all using the art of magic.
"Well, then! Now that we all know each other!"
"Wait! You still haven't-!"
"Let's go buy our Christmas presents!"
And with those words, he or she or it? It changed its appearance into that of its demon subordinate.

Inside the Chou royal palace. An emperor was screaming at a fox masked woman.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"
"It is exactly as I said Mr. Chou! If you do not submit to our demands, then the entire Jewel Rabbit Corporation will rebel against the empire!" She spoke.
Nox, after disguising herself as Madam, her subordinate CEO of the Rabbit Jewel Corporation, had called a meeting with the emperor of Chou. But the moment she entered she demanded he become her subordinate, or she would have her new corporation execute a violent takeover and take the throne that way.
"YOU INSOLENT WHENCH! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO?!"
"The first ever emperor to be killed by a rabbit should he not comply with my demands!"
"I AM THE EMPEROR OF CHOU! ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING GREAT EMPIRES FROM THE PRIMORDIAL ERA! A SUPERPOWER WHO STILL STANDS TALL IN THE FACE OF THE DARK EMPIRE! HAVE YOUR WEALTH DRIVEN YOU MAD?! DO YOU REALLY THINK YOURSELF SO GREAT THAT THIS MIGHTY EMPEROR WOULD GROWLE BEFORE YOUR FEET OVER A LITTLE MONEY?!"
"I'd say so, yes!"
"GUARDS! KILL THIS WHENCH AND HANG HER CORPSE UP ON THE CITY WALLS AS A REMINDER TO ALL, NOT TO DEFY THIS MIGHTY EMPEROR!"
"OKAY! YOU HEARD HIM! THAT'S YOUR CUE!"
And with her words, a group of cultivators sporting fake rabbit ears led by Kenji and Shinji, burst through the door.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?! HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?!" The emperor screamed
"The door obviously! Duh!" Nox spoke.
"Boss, I think he meant how we got past the guards outside!" Kenji chimed in.
"You think so? I'd think that one would be pretty obvious!" She said as a guard was sneaking up behind her.
*Swoosh*
"AAAARGH!"
Just as the man was about to take Nox hostage, one of the rabbit-eared cultivators rushed past her, sword in hand as he skewered him through the shoulder and pinned him to the wall.
"Nice going there Bucky!" Kenji spoke.
"I told you guys! That's not my name! It is Chen Hao!"
The person who just restrained the guard was the nascent soul of the wind element Chen Hao, or as the newly crowned leader of the Qi sect calls him Bucky.
After spreading naked fan art of the dark lord all over the continent, Nox had taken Kenji to the Qi sect to secretly train up a bunch of villagers in the fire elders territory all the way up to qi refinement. That way, she could just plop the stolen nascent soul cores she harvested from the Qi sect elders, and implant them inside those disciples, connecting their souls and voila they instantly became nascent cultivators.
When she found out that Madam had only recruited a force big enough to protect herself from the royal family, she had swiftly given Xie Xiu a call and got her to send over Kenji along with some of the new elders of the sect as reinforcements.
"Y-YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS! THERE IS NO WAY YOU MANAGED TO GET THROUGH-!"
"See for yourself!" Nox spoke as she pointed towards the window.
Wanting to confirm his suspicion, the emperor rushed towards the window to confirm the state of the guards stationed at the gates of the palace. And the moment he saw the state of the guards outside he felt a rock sinking in his stomach.
"THIS CAN'T BE! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" He screamed in disbelief.
What he saw was the golden gates of along with parts of the palace walls lain strewn across the ground in pieces. His soldiers guarding it sprawled across the ground, unmoving. And a trail of destruction leading further towards the palace.
"Wittle emperor of Chou! You have two options here! Option one: you refuse to submit to us and become the first ever emperor in history to be fucked to death by a hoard of horny rabbits! Option two: you make a pact with us and become our puppet emperor for the remainder of your days!"
"Ew! Could you not phrase it like that?!" Shinji spoke.
"Nope! So, what will it be then? Do we have a deal?" Nox spoke as she teleported on to the emperor's throne.
Seeing his few remaining guards being either killed or restrained with ease by Kenji's men, the Emperor of Chou made a decision.
"I submit!" The emperor spoke as he knelt down in front of Nox.
"Huh? Wait, really?" Nox spoke with genuine surprise.
"Why are you so surprised, boss? Wasn't this the plan?" Kenji asked.
"Silly little Meathead! Nine out of ten times, this is usually where they pick the secret option number 3: Pulling out their secret weapon to turn the tables! Chou, my man! You sure you don't want to pull something?" Nox spoke, while giving the kneeling emperor a suspicious look.
"I am not! Just please spare me and my family!" The emperor begged.
"But I prepared this whole thing just in case and! *sight* Whatever!" Looking visibly disappointed she didn't get to use her plan B, Nox got up from the throne and approached the emperor.
"Emperor Chou! Do you swear your fealty to me for all eternity?" Nox spoke as she reached her hand out to the kneeling emperor.
"I do! Huh?!"
Just as the emperor took her hand, translucent chains formed around him, before fading away.
"What did you?"
"Okey Dokey! Now I've got some stuff we need to go over in private! Meathead! Slowpoke! Take your new playmates outside until I call you okay!"
And with that they left the emperor and Nox alone.
