A chance

"You're acting suspicious," Linnea noticed, unconvinced by Daniel's words, but Daniel smiled.

"I'll have my bath now." He turned and left. After cleaning himself, he came out and joined Linnea. They had dinner, and Daniel offered to wash the dishes, but Linnea refused.

"I can do it. I've been home all day; you can sit."

Daniel listened; he sat down and watched as Linnea cleaned the dishes.

As Linnea washed, she couldn't help but think about Daniel's words. Daniel was right; she didn't know much about the triplets.

Their origin. Family. Parents. They were wealthy, but how? They didn't necessarily work; how did they make their money? She never bothered to ask.

"I'm so stupid," Linnea muttered, feeling deeply disappointed in herself.

But Daniel heard her: "You're not stupid, Linnea; you're smart, and you're the most beautiful girl I know."
