"Why are they still tolerating you if the pregnancy isn't theirs?" Linnea questioned again, clearly in deep shock.
"Will you come in and have a seat? Stay for thirty minutes; it's boring being alone here," Madison said, but Linnea hesitated.
"I'd rather... I'd rather leave." She turned again but hadn't taken many steps before Madison stopped her.
"Wait, I'll also tell you about your father. I know why he disappeared and where he is now. The triplets have a connection to this too."
"What? Stop exaggerating." Linnea shook her head and began to walk away again, this time faster.
She wanted to get as far away as possible; she was afraid she would give in to Madison's nonsense if she stayed any longer.
Linnea kept moving until she reached the street.
She stood by the roadside to wait for a taxi; unfamiliar with the area, she was playing it safe.
