"Untie you?" Madison scoffed. "Do you think I'm stupid? You think I would fall for your tricks? You should know better than that." Madison huffed and then stood up.
"I already said I could do it; don't you trust me? You don't even trust me. You do everything your way; this is why I hate you," Linnea groaned.
She knew Madison would not fall for her lies, but she was willing to try regardless.
Madison was about to leave the room when a beep on her phone stopped her.
She took out her cellphone, looked at the caller ID, expecting to see Peter's name, but was surprised by the name displayed on her screen.
Her face twisted, and her eyes glittered.
"Oh, look who is calling," she giggled, moved closer to Linnea, and showed her.
"Thatcher is on the line. Let's talk to him."
She sat down near Linnea.
