The sun rose up quickly the following morning, the birds were chirping and the weather was nice.
Rayna stirred in her sleep before she opened her still sleepy eyes. She stretched her arm to take the alarm on the bedside table to check the time but her hand caught nothing but air.
She frowned but then she remembered everything that occurred yesterday... 'Her brother! Yes! She remembered seeing her brother awak. Wass it all a drea,m then? She knew it! It was too good to be true.' She conversed with herself and let out a sigh.
"What has got you frowning and sighing this early morning?"
Rayna almost jumped out of bed if not for the hand that held her down, she would have fallen in her face.
"Liam?"
Rayna called out his name just to make sure she wasn't seeing things and this wasn't a dream.
"You are really awake, right?"
"I am here, Ray." Liam said and pulled her gently into his arms. "It seems you still have a hard time believing that I am awake."
He chuckled.
"I won't die, at least not now. Get used to seeing this brother of yours." Liam said and rubbed her arm soothingly.
Rayna was teary-eyed, but she held back her tears.
"I'm glad you are awake. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't woken." Rayna said sincerely.
"Thank you." Rayna said and Liam gave her a questioning look as if asking why she was thanking him.
"For waking up."
Liam smiled and didn't say anything else.
Rayna pulled out of his embrace, "I have to go get your things."
"Ohh okay." Liam said.
"Be careful."
"Alright, Li." Rayna replied with a smile and went out of the room.
Liam's soft expression turned frosty immediately after his sister left the room. His soft side was only reserved for his sister.
He saw the nurse come in with Jack behind her.
"How are you feeling now?" Jack asked as he strode over to examine him.
"I feel okay. When will I be able to walk?" Liam asked as he was getting tired of sitting in one position.
"Don't strain yourself, Liam. You are just recovering." Jack replied with a frown. "What did you eat yesterday?"
"Porridge." Liam answered.
"Porridge?" Jack turned to the nurse with a frown. "You know he can't eat solids yet, so why did you still give him?"
"No, Doctor Jack. The porridge was very thin." The nurse answered.
Jack nodded and continued his examination.
"All is fine with your vitals. The nurse would provide you with a wheelchair so you can exercise a bit."
Liam nodded.

Rayna got to her hotel room and went ahead to freshen up quickly. She had to find a place quickly because she couldn't live in the hotel forever. She sighed and decided to talk to her brother about it.
She packed a few things that he would need and then she was on her way to the hospital.
"I should check on that old man and his driver." Rayna said and then went up to the room where the old men were staying.
The doctor just finished checking him when she entered.
"How is he doctor?" Rayna asked worriedly.
"He is fine, his vitals are stable." The doctor replied.
"That's good. When will he wake up?"
"He will wake up soon, just give him a few hours." The doctor informe med.
"If I may ask, who are you to him?"
"Ohh, I called the ambulance yesterday when I noticed the situation the old men were in." Rayna replied. "What of the other old man?"
"He is fine also but yet to wake up." The doctor replied.
Rayna stared at the old man, worry written in her eyes. She hoped the old man would be fine.
"Miss?" The doctor called.
"Yes?"
"The officer would like to ask some questions." The doctor said. "Will that be okay with you?"
"Sure. I'll answer whatever questions they have."
Rayna stepped out of the room and followed the policemen away from the ward.
"Hello, miss." One of the policemen greeted, introducing himself and his colleagues before going down to business.
They came to get a statement from Rayna about the accident the old men were involved in.
Rayna recounted the incident on how she met the injured old men.
"Have you been able to contact his family?" Rayna asked.
"Yes miss. Luckily his phone was not damaged that much. His family would be here soon." The officer replied.
"Okay. I'll take my leave now." Rayna said. "I'll come back to check on him, doctor."
"Of course miss." The doctor replied.
Rayna excused herself and went up to her brother's room.
"You took long, hope there was no problem?" Liam asked worriedly.
"No. I went to check on the old men from the accident yesterday." Rayna said, dropping the bags on the chair.
"What accident? Are you okay, Rayna? You didn't tell me anything about any accident. Are you hurt anywhere?" Liam asked his questions one after the other.
"I am fine, Li." Rayna said casually. "I'll call the male nurse to assist you with your bath."
She said and left the room.
Minutes later, Rayna came into the room with a food tray.
Liam had been bathed and dressed for. He sat on the wheelchair as he didn't feel like getting on the bed again.
"Drink this. Doctor Jack said you can't have any solids for now." Rayna said and placed the food tray on his lap.
"Chicken soup?" Liam asked with a smile.
"I know it is your favorite, so I bought it at the restaurant close to the hospital, although I would have loved to cook it for you myself." Rayna said.
"It's alright." Liam replied and began drinking his soup. "Have you had anything to eat?"
"Yes, I ate at the restaurant earlier." Rayna lied as she didn't want her brother to be overly worked up considering his health. She would eat later.
"Okay. How about the old men, are they alright?"
"Yes, the doctor said they are stable now but they have not woken up." Rayna replied. "I'll go check on them later."
"Alright. I'll go with you." Liam said. "I want to get out of this room for fresh air."
"Okay. Finish your food first." Rayna said.
"Alright ma'am!" Liam said making Rayna laugh.
Rayna cleared his plates after he finished eating and proceeded to wheel him out of the room.
"You are right on time, miss. The old man just woke up." The doctor informed them immediately they got to the front of the old man's room.
"Really? That's great. Can we see him now?" Rayna asked happily. "Is he okay now?"
"Yes, he's alright. You can go in to see him but don't make too muchnoise." The doctor told them.
"Yes Doctor. We will be quiet." Rayna said impatiently.
Meanwhile, inside the room, the old man had regained consciousness and had his eyes open. He overheard the conversation between the doctor and a woman.
He felt that he had heard that woman's voice somewhere but he could not seem to recall where he had heard it.
The door was pushed open and the old man saw the young woman push the wheelchair of a man. He looked at the girl intently and finally recalled where he had heard her voice, she was the one who had saved him.
"Are you okay sir?" Rayna asked worriedly but only received silence in response.
She asked one more time but it was the same.
Rayna turned to the doctor worriedly, "Are you sure he is fine, doctor? He is not responding."
"Ehh? He responded to me earlier." The doctor scratched the back of his head. "Allow him to gather himself."
"Ohh okay." Rayna replied worriedly.
"I am fine." The old man said in a hoarse voice.
