Chapter 47: Lumina's Bottom Line

"Hmm... This must be the Seat of Divine Foresight."

Early the next morning, Lumina woke up and followed the directions on the Luofu map to the Seat of Divine Foresight, located within the Exalting Sanctum.

Seeing nothing but a few Cloud Knights standing guard, she confirmed that this was the entrance. Without hesitation, Lumina walked straight toward it.

"Excuse me, Miss. Do you have urgent business with the Seat of Divine Foresight? Shall I inform the General of your arrival?"

Much to Lumina's relief, none of the melodramatic scenes from her doujin novels materialized. A faint smile appeared on her face as she addressed the Cloud Knight guard.

"My name is Lumina. I'm here to see General Jing Yuan."

"Miss Lumina?" The guard paused, slightly surprised by the name, then scrutinized her. His helmet obscured his expression.

"Very well, please wait here while I inform the General."

The guard nodded, his initial hesitation replaced by a noticeably more respectful tone.

"Alright, go ahead," Lumina said with a gentle smile, nodding to the Cloud Knight.

Feeling soothed by Lumina's warm smile, the Cloud Knight's heart filled with peace. After giving instructions to the others, he boarded the Starskiff and departed for the Seat of Divine Foresight to make his report.

While waiting, Lumina quietly observed her surroundings, the minutes slipping by quickly.

A few minutes later, a Starskiff returned. The Cloud Knight who had gone to deliver the message disembarked, approached Lumina, performed a respectful salute, and said with utmost reverence, "Lady Lumina, the General requests your presence."

"Thank you," Lumina replied with a smile. Following his guidance, she boarded the Starskiff bound for the Seat of Divine Foresight.

Settling into the Starskiff, Lumina examined the fully automated control panel and pressed the button labeled "[To Seat of Divine Foresight]."

The Starskiff activated smoothly, and Lumina felt no discomfort during the journey.

"The environment on the Luofu is truly beautiful," she murmured, watching the constantly changing scenery outside the window. "Still, it can't compare to the beauty of my home planet."

The memory of the planet she had painstakingly decorated filled Lumina's face with a satisfied smile.

After watching the System's progress bar stubbornly remain at 99.9% for what felt like forever, Lumina had abandoned hope and sought out a planet with stunning natural beauty, where she settled down.

To make herself comfortable, she spent countless hours decorating her new home.

But her enthusiasm faded quickly. Less than a month after finishing the decorations, Lumina lost interest entirely. She spent her days lounging around the house, barely glancing at the elaborate creations she had poured so much time into.

The only things that could consistently hold Lumina's attention, besides herself, were beautiful girls o(* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ

Beautiful girls were a precious gift from the heavens, and Lumina would never, ever, ever lose interest in them!

That was her bottom line!

[Ding-dong~ The Seat of Divine Foresight has been reached. Please disembark from the Starskiff promptly.]

As Lumina pondered this, the Starskiff swiftly approached its destination. Hearing the announcement, she snapped out of her reverie, disembarked, and gazed upon the majestic and imposing Seat of Divine Foresight before striding inside with resolute steps.

Perhaps because Jing Yuan had given prior notice, Lumina encountered no guards along the way and soon arrived at a grand hall.

Seeing the "Closed-Eye General" seated in a chair, a faint smile gracing his lips, Lumina walked straight to the chair opposite him. After smoothing her attire, she returned his smile.

"General, my name is Lumina, an ordinary physician who travels the Cosmos."

"Hahaha, Miss Lumina," Jing Yuan chuckled softly, "even setting aside your dazzling achievements, how could someone who freely traverses the Cosmos be considered ordinary?" He then introduced himself casually: "I am Jing Yuan, the Cloud Knight General of the Luofu. You may call me Jing Yuan."

"Very well," Lumina nodded, accepting his informality.

She then added apologetically, "Please forgive my uninvited arrival on Luofu."

"Not at all," Jing Yuan replied. "With your status, Luofu should have welcomed you immediately upon your arrival. It is we who have failed in our duty."

"We should be the ones apologizing," Jing Yuan said, shaking his head, a hint of regret in his tone and expression.

A formidable opponent...

In just a few exchanges, Lumina had already grasped Jing Yuan's tenacious nature. Good thing I'm facing Jing Yuan and not his counterpart, she thought. Otherwise, I'd probably burn my brain trying to figure her out.

[ So that's what you consider "formidable"? ] the System couldn't help but retort.

"Shut up," Lumina replied gently, silencing the System.

Then, turning her gaze to Jing Yuan, she realized there was only one way to handle such a formidable opponent: complete transparency.

"I know what you want to ask," Lumina stated calmly. "I've received Yaoshi's blessing. In cosmic terms, I'm a genuine Emanator of Abundance."

Hearing this, Jing Yuan's eyes shifted slightly.

Though the change was fleeting, Lumina still caught it.

"Haha, Miss Lumina, regardless of your true identity, a guest is a guest," Jing Yuan said, his smile unwavering, seemingly unconcerned about her true identity.

It was clearly a facade. If Jing Yuan had the means, the confidence, or the ability to dispose of her immediately, he wouldn't be speaking so amiably.

Lumina found it utterly unbelievable that Jing Yuan, who had personally met an Abundance Emanator, harbored no resentment toward that identity.

But she didn't care. An Abundance Emanator was one thing; Lumina was another. What concern did the Abundance Emanator have for her?

With genuine sincerity, Lumina stated, "I've never had any contact with other Abundance Emanators. My sole purpose in coming to Luofu was for travel."

"If I could choose, I would rather be known as Lumina here than as an Abundance Emanator."

Though her words carried a hint of a threat, they truly reflected her innermost desires.

If Luofu continued to harbor malice towards Lumina and treat her as an Abundance Abomination, she would become the very Abomination they accused her of being, delivering a small measure of retribution.

Lumina was confident that as long as she didn't go too far, the Aeon of The Hunt wouldn't intervene.

However, if Luofu treated her as a guest, as an ordinary person, Lumina would protect everyone during the upcoming Stellaron and Ambrosial Arbor revival events, and contribute her strength to the battle against Phantylia.

Whether things turned out well or poorly depended entirely on Luofu's actions. At least, Lumina believed that expressing her goodwill was enough.

"..." Jing Yuan fell silent after hearing Lumina's earnest words.

The silence lasted only a few seconds before Jing Yuan burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Luofu boasts numerous historical sites and famous scenic spots. Miss Lumina, as a newcomer, you must be unaware of them, right?"

"In that case, how about I arrange a tour guide for you?"

"Oh?"

Lumina's eyes lit up instantly.
