Chapter-34 Unshakable Bonds

Nirvay was still working on his laptop. He hadn't slept a wink.

"I have to work harder... The loss must be recovered quickly," he thought.

He continued working until 2 AM and finally drifted off to sleep. The next morning, he woke up and went straight to Aarohi's hospital room. He gently kissed her forehead and held her hand, which still had the IV line attached.

Aarohi: "You're awake?"

Nirvay: "You were sleeping, weren't you?"

Aarohi: "The medicines and injections knock me out, Nirvay."

Nirvay: "I still regret making that plan. You had to go through so much pain because of it."

Aarohi (placing her hand on his): "You can't change destiny. But you know what it teaches you? Who truly cares for you. I've been in pain, yes, but I also realized how deeply I am loved. Don't carry guilt for something you poured your heart into. I know how much you've done for me, sacrificing even your company. So should I mourn the accident or be grateful that someone loves me this much?"

Nirvay (his eyes welling up): "Everyone keeps asking why I love you so much. This is why. You always find a way to ease my pain."

Aarohi: "I'm not special. Your love makes me feel special. When you had better options, you still chose me. I was just a simple girl... and your love made me feel like I mattered. Sometimes, it still feels unreal."

Nirvay: "It's always been real. And you were the one who first made me realize that I wasn't special for everyone... back on our very first day of school."

Aarohi (smiling): "I had no idea it affected you so much."

Nirvay: "That was the first moment you stood out. Every word, every action of yours hit me hard."

A nurse entered the room to help Aarohi change.

Nirvay: "I'll leave after your parents come."

He quietly left the room. Aarohi smiled, still thinking about their conversation.

Nurse 1: "He's your boyfriend, right?"

Aarohi: "Yes."

Nurse 1: "I've seen how he cares for you. Despite being the CEO of a major company, he never leaves your side."

Nurse 2 (with a sigh): "But Aarohi, be realistic. Men care about beauty and perfect bodies."

Nurse 1 (snapping): "Stop it. Focus on your job. Aarohi, don't let this bother you."

But the thought stuck with Aarohi. Was it true? Her face had only minor injuries, but her body now bore many scars. Would Nirvay still love her the same once he saw them?

Later, her parents arrived, and Nirvay left for work.

In Nirvay's Office

Shreya walked in without knocking.

Nirvay: "Try knocking next time."

Shreya: "Sorry, it's just not a habit yet."

Nirvay: "Better make it one. What do you need?"

Shreya: "I'm willing to give you my 30% shares, if you want them."

Nirvay: "Why would you do that?"

Shreya: "Because it's for you, Nirvay. You know that."

Nirvay: "Thanks, Shreya. You can leave now."

Shreya (angrily): "Why are you still so crazy about Aarohi? You made her your personal assistant and chased after her for five years."

Nirvay: "And I'll keep doing it for the next fifty years."

Shreya: "What does she have that I don't? Even when she wasn't around, you still loved her."

Nirvay: "Exactly. I loved her even when she wasn't with me. You'll never understand, Shreya. You put a price tag on emotions. If I weren't Nirvay Raj, you wouldn't have looked at me twice. So please, leave. Let me work."

Despite his workload, Nirvay kept checking in with the hospital.

In a staff meeting:

Nirvay: "Our company's reputation has taken a hit. Investors believe I ignored business for a personal matter. We need to win back trust. Neha, remove all rumors and false stories from our platforms."

Neha: "Yes, sir."

Nirvay: "Tomorrow, we face the board and investors. Be ready. We will bounce back."

Later in his cabin, a few staff members came to speak.

Finance Staff: "Sir, people are saying the company suffered because of your personal assistant."

Nirvay (after a pause): "Yes, I saw the news. That 'assistant' was in a critical condition. Would you have expected me to abandon her? Professionally, no. Personally, she's my future wife. When my family is in pain, I can't focus on business. I hope that answers your question."

They left, shocked and awkward.

That night at the hospital, Nirvay sent Aarohi's parents back to his flat to rest.

Nirvay: "You seem a bit off. Are you okay?"

Aarohi: "I'm fine."

Nirvay: "You look worried."

Aarohi: "Will you always love me like this, Nirvay?"

Nirvay: "Why do you even doubt that?"

Aarohi (hesitant): "I had an accident. I'm not the same person anymore."

Nirvay: "What do you mean?"

She looked into his eyes, searching.

Nirvay (gently hugging her): "Whatever doubts you have, leave them behind. I can't even imagine life without you."

Aarohi: "But Nirvay—"

Nirvay: "Rest now. Just focus on getting better."
