Starting with No Game No Life: Infinite Chests

the story has so many plot holes... MC says he's going to play it safe then gets one ability, and basically starts randomly attacking people. he gets random chest that are a higher level at more dangerous locations. then is suddenly surprised when he's attacked near a chest.... the story is a good idea, but the character interactions are just terrible

2/4/3/2/4 It's a pretty good idea, but the execution isn't the best. It has a lot of potential, but the grammar leaves a lot to be desired. There's also the fact that the interactions between characters are very monotonous and direct; no conversation is as straightforward and repetitive as that. The way the actions are contextualized also feels empty, as if more explanation and development were needed in that area. Doing so would significantly improve the quality, as it feels like it was written quickly and without any development beyond explaining direct actions and not explaining the reason for those actions. Another point is the constant use of full names; it feels impersonal after a certain point. There's also the fact that some techniques are named incorrectly, such as the names of the eight gates; the author constantly misnamed the 6th and 7th gates. Another point that could be improved is the explanation of power levels, which become unconscious over time, and Riku's development on the power scale is very rapid when it could be more progressive and give him better development. In conclusion, it has a lot of potential, but it needs more consistent development, and we would end up with a masterpiece. I will continue reading in the hope that it improves, and I hope for Arceus that it does, since it becomes multiversal later on.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts this time. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy this fanfic. It felt disconnected from the original story, with major deviations that seemed unresearched or randomly chosen. The characters and plot points didn’t align well with the source material, making it hard for me to stay engaged. I can appreciate the effort that goes into writing, but this one just didn’t work for me.
