Rachel arrived at Emilia's apartment, contract in hand, and they sat down at the kitchen table to discuss the terms.
"Okay, let's go through this," Rachel said, her eyes scanning the pages. "What's the deal with the exclusivity clause? You're not going to be able to show your art anywhere else without Julian's permission?"
Emilia nodded, her brow furrowed in concern. "That's what it says. And I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with that."
Rachel's expression was thoughtful. "I get it. You value your independence, and this could limit your creative freedom. But on the other hand, this could be a huge opportunity for you. You could get your art seen by a lot of people, and make a name for yourself."
Emilia sighed, feeling torn. "I know. It's just that I don't know much about Julian, or what his real motives are. What if he's just using me for his own gain?"
Rachel's eyes narrowed. "That's a good point. We need to do some research on him, see what we can find out. Maybe there's something online, or people in the art world who know him."
Emilia nodded, feeling a sense of determination. "You're right. Let's dig deeper and see what we can find out."
As they began their research, Emilia felt a sense of unease growing inside her. She was starting to wonder if she was making a mistake by even considering Julian's offer. But she was also curious, and determined to learn more about the mysterious art dealer and his proposal.
