In Hailey's apartment.
"Hey, little Brentley, why are you standing there like a statue? Come over and sit down!" Hailey called out with a bright smile.
"Uh, well, I think I'll just stand here..." Brentley replied helplessly. He had no idea what this enchanting woman was planning, so he didn't dare to sit down.
"Alright then!" Hailey nodded slightly when she saw Brentley had no intention of coming over. She then struck a captivating pose, resting her chin on her hand, and asked softly, "Little Brentley, what do the boys in class say about me, their teacher?"
"They all say you're very beautiful, and that you're really nice to the students. They also think your lessons are....."
"Ugh, I don't want to hear those useless compliments right now. Can you tell me something I wouldn't normally hear?" Hailey interrupted Brentley.
"Something you wouldn't normally hear?" Brentley looked at Hailey, puzzled, and then said quietly, "Miss Hailey, you know I don't have many friends in class, so I don't really know what they say about you..."
"Then what kind of woman do you think I am?" Hailey blinked her fox-like eyes, looking curious.
"A kind-hearted and very beautiful!" Brentley quickly answered.
"Do you think I'm pretty?" Hailey asked, seemingly a bit pleased.
"Yes, very pretty and very sexy," Brentley nodded gently.
"Have you ever fantasized about me naked while, you know, pleasuring yourself?" Hailey continued, looking straight at Brentley.
"Uh..." Brentley was taken aback by Hailey's blunt question. He had no idea what she was trying to achieve by saying such things.
"Well, have you?" Rachel pressed on.
"No..." Brentley shook his head quickly without even thinking.
"Liar, your eyes give you away!" Hailey smiled faintly and continued, "Even if you did, I wouldn't be mad. But you shouldn't have stolen my underwear, right?"
"Miss Hailey, I swear I didn't steal your underwear!" Brentley was clearly on the verge of losing it, his expression growing more frantic.
Hailey scrutinized Brentley from head to toe. She had initially planned to distract him and then coax the truth out of him, but seeing that Brentley wasn't falling for it, she decided to abandon her line of questioning.
"Alright, I'll let you off the hook today. You can go now," Hailey waved her hand dismissively at Brentley.
"Okay!" Brentley sighed in relief upon hearing Rachel finally letting him go. He quickly turned and headed out of her apartment.
"Oh, Brentley, don't forget you're supposed to help out at my friend's bar the day after tomorrow for its opening!" Hailey called out as Brentley was about to leave.
"Don't worry, I won't forget!" Brentley replied softly.
"And one more thing, you can't tell anyone about what happened today. If you do, you're dead!" Hailey added sternly.
"I got it, I won't say a word!" Brentley responded with a hint of resignation in his voice before turning and exiting her apartment.
Hailey sat alone on her bed, her beautiful eyes half-closed, lost in her thoughts.
As Brentley left Hailey apartment, he let out a long breath, feeling his earlier tension start to ease. Despite inheriting trillions, which had changed many aspects of his life, one thing remained the same: every time he encountered Hailey, he felt extremely nervous.
After a moment, Brentley made his way back to the class. It was break time, and the students were chatting with each other.
Graham, noticing Brentley's return, quickly ran over to him, his face full of concern. "Brentley, why did Miss Hailey take you away?" he asked anxiously.
"It's nothing much, just helping her with some tasks!" Brentley couldn't possibly reveal what he and Hailey had discussed in her apartment. If he did, Hailey might actually kill him.
Graham and Tyree knew that Hailey often asked Brentley for help with various things, so they didn't suspect anything unusual.
"By the way, Brentley, do you have any plans after class today?" Graham suddenly asked.
"No, nothing planned. Why?" Brentley replied, curious.
"If you're free, how about we hit the bar tonight for some drinks?" Graham suggested with a mysterious smile.
"Drinks?" Brentley was puzzled. He had never been to a bar to drink before due to his lack of money, and he wondered why Graham was suddenly inviting him.
"Yeah, since you broke up with Ophelia, you've seemed down lately. So, I asked Tabitha to bring some girls from her dorm. We thought it would be nice for us guys and girls to hang out, chat, and get to know each other," Graham explained with a grin.
Brentley knew that Tabitha was the girl Graham had been pursuing. He wasn't sure what their current relationship status was.
"Uh, I'm not really interested in going to a bar. Maybe you two should go without me," Brentley hesitated, thinking of declining the offer.
"Come on, I've already talked to Tabitha. There are three girls in her dorm, and there are three of us. Plus, I heard there's a girl named Wynter Patel in their dorm who's really pretty. I'll set you up with her, and who knows, you two might hit it off!" Graham said enthusiastically to Brentley.
Seeing Graham's eagerness, Brentley hesitated for a moment before softly replying, "Alright, I'll go with you today. But I doubt any girl would be interested in me."
"How do you know she won't be interested in you?" Graham grinned, showing his teeth, and then pulled out a hundred-dollar bill from his wallet, handing it to Brentley.
Brentley stared at the money in surprise and asked, puzzled, "Why are you giving me money?"
"Girls these days like guys with money. Take this, and you can pay the bill later. When they see you paying, they'll definitely have a good impression of you!" Graham explained with a cheerful smile.
Brentley looked at the cash in his hand, feeling a sudden wave of gratitude. After a moment's hesitation, he accepted the money without saying much.
"Hey Graham, do you remember that rich guy who spent thousands on the live-stream platform a few days ago?"
At that moment, a boy sitting in front of Graham turned around and asked.
Brentley looked up at the boy, who was named Kieran. He was known as the class gossip, always in the know about every rumor in school. He was the one who spread the word about Hailey being kept by someone.
Although many of Kieran's stories were made up, some were true, so the classmates still paid attention to his gossip.
"Yeah, I remember. Why?" Graham nodded slightly at Kieran's question.
"I found out who that rich guy is!" Kieran said with a mysterious smile.
Hearing this, the students in the class quickly gathered around Kieran, eager to hear more.
"Kieran, who exactly is this 'Gone with the Wind'?" a curious girl asked Kieran.
"Let me tell you," Kieran began with a grin, "that 'Gone with the Wind' is actually a rich kid from our Sunshire City University, a junior. I don't know his real name, but I heard from some juniors that he bragged about taking that streamer, Phoebe, to a hotel within a week. He even said he'd live-stream it on our school's forum!"
Kieran chuckled as he shared the gossip with the group.
Brentley froze upon hearing this. If what Kieran said was true, it meant Brentley's earlier suspicions were correct. Someone must have stolen his account and was using his identity to deceive and exploit Phoebe.
