"Kieran, are you serious?"
"Yeah, is that 'Gone with the Wind' really a student in our junior year?"
"Right, how come I never heard of such a rich kid at Sunshire City University?"
The students in the class were puzzled upon hearing the news about 'Gone with the Wind.' They found it hard to believe that even a rich kid could just throw around so much money, especially just to tip a streamer.
"You guys have no idea. The background of 'Gone with the Wind' is incredibly scary. It's beyond what we ordinary folks can imagine!" Kieran said with a grin.
"Yeah, anyone who can throw around millions like that definitely isn't ordinary!" Graham added, smiling.
"For us, a few million is an unimaginable amount, but for him, it's just a month's pocket money. He probably spends money just to have fun with that female streamer. Once he's bored, he'll just move on to another one. 'Gone with the Wind' has already become a golden name on the live-stream platform. All he has to do is say a word, and plenty of female streamers will come running!" Kieran continued, looking at everyone.
"Oh, if only 'Gone with the Wind' would notice me, my life would be set!" a girl in the class sighed softly.
Meanwhile, Brentley's face looked grim. If what Kieran said was true, then the person impersonating him not only deceived Phoebe but might also target other female streamers.
"Kieran, do you know what 'Gone with the Wind's real name is?" Brentley asked, hesitating for a moment, his face expressionless.
"I don't know his exact name. Why? You run out of money after treating everyone to dinner last time? Are you hoping 'Gone with the Wind' will take care of you too? But he only likes girls, not boys..." Kieran teased, laughing at Brentley.
"Hahaha!"
Everyone burst into laughter at Kieran's words. Although Brentley had slightly changed their opinion after treating them to a lavish meal at the Prosperity Hotel last time, they still saw him as a penniless loser. A single meal couldn't change that perception.
Brentley felt a pang of disappointment flash through his eyes when he heard Kieran's words. He had hoped to get the name of the person who had hacked his account from Kieran, so he could ask Logan Rodriguez to investigate. This way, Brentley could recover his account, and Phoebe along with other female streamers wouldn't be deceived. Unfortunately, Kieran didn't know the hacker's name either. With only the information that the hacker was a junior student at Sunshire City University, finding them seemed nearly impossible.
After mocking Brentley for a while, the classmates resumed discussing the topic of "Gone with the Wind," but their conversation was filled with unimportant details, offering no clues that could help Brentley identify the hacker. None of them noticed the troubled expression on Brentley's face.
When Brentley had initially tipped Phoebe, he hadn't considered the possibility of someone hacking his account. To him, that account wasn't particularly important. But hearing Kieran's words made him realize the gravity of the situation. The hacker might not be targeting just Phoebe; they could be planning to deceive many other innocent girls next.
On the live- streaming platform, while some girls streamed for fun, the majority did it to earn money. The "Gone with the Wind" account was like a golden ticket to these streamers. If the hacker reached out to them, they would likely comply with any of the hacker's demands without hesitation.
"I never thought an account could cause so much trouble!" Brentley sighed deeply, sitting in his seat, contemplating how to resolve the issue.
"Ring, ring, ring..."
Just then, the bell signaling the start of lessons rang.
The students who had been gathered around Kieran returned to their seats, waiting for lessons to start. Graham noticed that Brentley looked a bit off and couldn't help but ask in a low voice, "Brentley, why do you look so upset? Did everyone's teasing get to you?"
"No..." Brentley shook his head slightly, not bothering to explain further. After all, even if he told Graham what was really on his mind, Graham probably wouldn't believe him.
A moment later, the lecturer walked into the class and began the lesson. Brentley had spent the previous night trying to recover his account, so he hadn't gone to sleep until the early hours. Coupled with the fact that this was a maths class, it wasn't long before he dozed off on his desk.
When Brentley opened his eyes again, it was already the end of the day.
"Brentley, wake up. We're heading to the bar outside the campus. Tabitha Jordan is waiting for us there!" Graham gently nudged Brentley and whispered.
"Alright..." Brentley mumbled as he groggily opened his eyes and followed Graham out of the classroom.
"Brentley, remember, you're treating us at the bar today. Don't let it slip, and when you see the girls, act generous. I've already given you the money, so just spend it freely," Graham instructed Brentley in a low voice as they walked towards the gate.
"Got it," Brentley nodded slightly at Graham's words, not saying much else.
"As long as you perform well today, Brentley, I think you have a good chance with Tabitha's roommate. After all, none of Tabitha's roommates are from Sunshine City University, so they don't really know much about you... Tyree said, looking at Brentley.
"Tyree, what nonsense are you spouting now?"
Graham interrupted, sounding a bit displeased.
"I... I didn't mean anything by it..." Tyree replied, looking a bit embarrassed.
"Even if they did know about Brentley, so what? Besides being a bit poor, there's nothing wrong with him. And even if he's poor now, it doesn't mean he'll be poor forever!" Graham said, looking at Tyree.
"I was just making a casual remark. Why are you getting all worked up?" Tyree quickly explained, realizing his previous comment might have been out of line.
"Just try to avoid saying things like that in the future. Brentley is our friend. If even you think of him that way, what will others think?" Graham said seriously to Tyree.
"Graham, it's fine. Tyree was just joking around. I didn't take it to heart..." Brentley said, feeling touched by Graham's defense but also understanding that Tyree meant no harm.
"Yeah, I was just joking, Brentley. Don't take it seriously!" Tyree added quickly.
Graham glanced at Brentley and Tyree, then continued walking towards the campus gate without saying anything more.
A few minutes later, the three of them walked out of the gates.
"Graham!"
A girl in a white dress called out with a bright smile as soon as she saw him.
Brentley looked up in the direction of the girl, recognizing her as Tabitha Jordan, the one Graham had been pursuing for a while. Whether they were actually together, Brentley wasn't sure.
Tabitha's looks could only be described as average, but she had a talent for dressing up. All her clothes and accessories were high-end brands, making her appear quite attractive.
Tabitha and Graham were high school classmates. Now, Tabitha attended Sunshire City Music Academy, and whenever she didn't have classes, she would visit Graham at Sunshire City University. Because of this, Brentley had met her a few times.
Brentley didn't have a good impression of Tabitha. He knew that she only came to see Graham at the end of the month when she was out of money. At the beginning of the month, when she had money, she never bothered to visit him.
In short, Brentley thought Tabitha was just using Graham as a backup plan. Both Brentley and Tyree could see this clearly, but Graham himself was oblivious. They didn't have the heart to tell Graham the truth, so they just turned a blind eye.
"Tabitha, you're here!" Graham said happily when he saw her.
"Yeah, why did it take you so long to come out? I've been waiting here for over an hour..." Tabitha pouted playfully.
"I came over as soon as my lessons ended!" Graham explained quickly, worried that she might be upset.
"Alright, I'll let it slide since you were in class," Tabitha replied nonchalantly. Then she continued, "Let's hurry to the bar. My friends should already be there, and I don't want to keep them waiting too long..."
"Okay!" Graham agreed eagerly.
Graham nodded and started walking towards the bar near their campus. But after taking just a couple of steps, Tabitha suddenly turned her head to look at Brentley with a look of utter disgust.
"Graham, why is this trash picker still following us? Get rid of him! What if my roommates see him? I don't want them to know I associate with a poor trash picker!"
Graham froze at Tabitha's words, his face turning extremely awkward.
