f I Buy a Villa, What Should You Do?

Brentley was about to leave with Caroline when he heard someone call his name. He paused, then slowly looked up towards the entrance of the sales office.

When Brentley saw the girl walking in, a flash of surprise crossed his eyes.

"Wynter Patel?" He responded softly.

Yes, the girl who had just entered the sales office was none other than Wynter Patel, the same girl Graham and Tyree had tried to introduce to him the night before, and also Tabitha Jordan's best friend.

That night, Brentley and Wynter had actually gotten along quite well. They were just about to exchange contacts and get to know each other better when Ophelia, Farrah and her friends interrupted, ruining everything. In Wynter's eyes, Brentley's image plummeted. She now saw him as a complete fraud—a poor guy pretending to be a wealthy heir to deceive girls.

Today, Wynter was dressed beautifully. She wore a cropped knit top that accentuated her figure and black denim shorts that showed off her long, fair legs. She completed the look with a pair of high-heeled sandals. Although she didn't exude the same level of sensual allure as Caroline, she had a fresh and lively charm.

When Wynter heard Brentley call her name, she instinctively paused, then couldn't help but step forward and confront him. "I can't believe it's really you, the big liar. What are you doing here?"

Brentley knew that Wynter hadn't forgotten about that night and decided not to engage with her. He continued walking towards the exit of the sales office.

"Don't be in such a hurry to leave!"

Wynter suddenly grabbed Brentley's arm, then glanced up and down at Caroline standing beside him. Given that they were at a villa sales office, a knowing expression quickly appeared on her face.

"Brentley, are you pretending to be a rich kid here to scam people again?"

Wynter sneered at Brentley.

Upon hearing Wynter's words, the sales assistants gathered around him, their eyes filled with curiosity. They hadn't expected Wynter to know Brentley.

Wynter gave Caroline a once-over, then pouted and said, "Brentley, have all the colleges in Sunshire City figured out you're a fraud, so now you're targeting older women?" "Does that concern you?" Brentley replied, his face expressionless.

"It doesn't concern me, but I can't stand seeing you deceive people. Got a problem with that?" Wynter shot back, still pouting. She then turned to Caroline and said, "Miss, I think you might be getting scammed by this man. Did he bring you here saying he was going to buy you a villa? Don't believe a word of it. He's a complete fraud!"

"Mr. Carter never said he was buying me a villa. I'm a sales representative here," Caroline replied calmly.

"Oh, I see. Then Brentley must be pretending to be a rich heir to get close to you. I'm telling you, don't believe a word he says. He can't afford a villa!" Wynter had no idea about the relationship between Caroline and Brentley. She assumed Brentley had moved on to another target after failing to deceive her.

"Wynter, do you know this person?" At that moment, Jessica walked up to Wynter , her face without expression. "Of course, I know him, cousin. This guy is Brentley Carter. We were drinking together at the bar the other night!" Wynter quickly replied.

Hearing the conversation between Wynter and Jessica, Brentley finally understood why Wynter was here. It turned out Jessica was her cousin!

"So that's how it is," Jessica said with a faint, knowing smile.

"Cousin, let me tell you, this Brentley is a total fraud. That night, he pretended to be a rich second-generation kid to trick me, but his friend exposed him. He's actually just a poor guy who picks up trash, pretending to be rich to satisfy his vanity and scam girls," Wynter said in a sweet but accusing tone, pointing at Brentley.

The crowd gasped at Wynter's revelation. They had always been skeptical about Brentley being a wealthy heir, but Caroline's unwavering belief had kept them in a state of doubt. Now, Wynter's words seemed to confirm their suspicions, leaving them both shocked and disgusted.

Aside from their growing disdain for Brentley, they also felt a twinge of sympathy for Caroline. They didn't believe she was in on the scam, as she was a respected manager at the company and had a decent reputation. It seemed unlikely she would stoop to such a childish prank.

"Wynter, are you sure about this?" Jessica asked coldly, her eyes fixed on her. "Of course, I'm sure! If you don't believe me, you can go ask around at Sunshire City University. Everyone there knows about him!" Wynter replied confidently.

Jessica couldn't help but let out a cold laugh. She took a step forward and looked at Caroline. "Caroline, I don't think we need to wait until tomorrow, do we? Since this guy is just a trash picker, he definitely won't show up with the money tomorrow. You should go ahead and submit your resignation."

"And how do you know Mr. Carter can't afford the villa?" Caroline replied, her face expressionless. "Didn't you hear what Wynter just said?"

"So what if I heard? Do you have any proof that everything she said is true? Even if you want to fire me, there's no need to rush," Caroline retorted coldly.

"Caroline, you're really stubborn, aren't you? Fine, I'll give you one day. If this guy doesn't show up with the money tomorrow, let's see what you have to say then!" Jessica felt confident she had already won, so she wasn't in a hurry.

"We don't need a day!" But just then, Brentley, who had been silently enduring Wynter Patel's scolding, suddenly spoke up.

"What do you mean by that?" Jessica asked, looking at Brentley.

"I can buy this villa today," Brentley said, his eyes fixed on Jessica. "But since Caroline just said that if I can't afford it, she'll resign. So, if I do buy this villa, what will you do?"

Jessica was taken aback by Brentley's words, momentarily stunned.
