As Shiro and Kami bid farewell to Deeper Averune, they decided to sit and admire the aurora. But there was one more thing that they had to solve. The girl that remained dormant in sleep, that rested on his back. Before he had sat down, he took her off his back, lifting her up. Kami looked at her with a bit of confusion.
"Hmmm...still alive, but there's some kind of essence lingering over her." Kami spoke, feeling her cheek, his hand slightly glowing as he took his healing talisman off.
"So, what are you gonna do then?" Shiro looked, noticing that the girl's veins seemed to be glistening from within her body. Kami's hands continued to spark as the girl started to glow even brighter.
"This, Shiro, is what we call purification. Though I've heard of it and studied it before, I've never actually put it to the test. There's nothing I've HAD to try purifying. But I guess this is a first..." Kami smirked as he saw the girl's hair shift from her jet black like the night sky, fading into a bright white.
"Whoa!! She's changing!!" Shiro watched as he slowly let go as the girl descended to the ground. Standing at barely 5 feet, they both looked at her, observing as she opened her eyes. A dark blue gaze, sapphire, like her eyes were a vast ocean. Her skin was pale from her head to her toes, having robes to cover her weakened body.
Kami watched, kneeling. "If she doesn't have a name, we should call her Kamia!!" He smiled, kneeling down as he was about to touch her shoulder, but was slightly zapped by the girl's presence. Shiro blankly stared at Kami, sighing.
"So, just your name with an 'a' on the end? You thought I wouldn't catch onto that?" Shiro looked at him, sighing before kneeling down to the girl himself. With a kind smile, he looked at the young girl. He didn't want to do anything that would give the wrong impression, so with this in mind, he held his hand out.
Kami looked, tilting his head. "I don't know what you're trying...but go ahead." But before he could continue, he noticed the girl walking towards his hand, putting both of hers in his with a light smile.
"My name is Shiro. What's your name?" He looked at the little girl, who raised her eyebrows in confusion. As he looked at her lost face, he looked over at Kami.
"She actually doesn't have a name..But we're not calling her Kamia." Shiro spoke .
"Well, do you have any recommendations?" Kami looked at the girl, then looked at Shiro.
"Yeah, obviously!! Uhh..Just give me a few minutes to catch my thoughts." Shiro sat properly now, starting to think. Kami watched him while still looking up at the aurora.
"The passing of memories through the sky was really the way to do it, huh." Kami looked up before watching steam come out of Shiro's ears trying to think.
"Kid, surely it can't be that--"
"I'VE GOT IT!!" Shiro shouted before he stood up, laughing.
"Oh, yeah? Let's see what you've got." Kami spoke as he watched Shiro smile before immediately picking the girl up.
"Her name, is Yuki!! Doesn't it fit perfectly?? The white hair, the pale skin, the blue eyes, it's like she's just meant to survive in those wintery conditions, ya know??" He laughed as Kami blankly stared at him, but he heard his reasoning, and it started to make sense.
"Ahhh, I see!! Your thinking process is long, but you manage to come up with a good idea at the end, so that's good." Kami spoke as they all stood up. "Let's get going home. I'm sure Roya wants to see how we did..Especially after the aurora." He walked up to them, holding onto their shoulders as a pillar of light struck down, transporting them all directly below the aurora. With immense speeds, they travelled across Averune in mere minutes before crash landing near Roya's home, where the debris had erupted from the ground.
With the aggressive gusts of wind, Roya quickly ran outside, holding her arm up to give herself some sort of stability. Kami laughed as the winds came to a quick close. When they had first left, there were 2. Now, there were 3. With a loss of breath, she looked in shock at the little girl, sprinting over, picking her up, completely moving past Shiro and Kami.
"Oh my gosh!!! Who is this cutie?!" Roya shouted, rubbing her cheek against hers slightly, even twirling around, holding her up high. Yuki looked at her, chuckling slightly as Roya gently put her down, rubbing her hair.
"It's nice to see you two as well! I'm glad you all made it out alive. But- I have something to tell you all. Something important that I remembered." Roya spoke as her tone suddenly got serious. Shiro and Kami both raised their eyebrows, hoping to hear the situation.
"But I think it would be better if he told you." She spoke as the door slowly fluttered open, revealing none other than Cera, draped in bandages across his face. Fortunately, he could still speak and see through his left eye. Shiro looked into his eyes before wondering,
"What's the important news, Cera?" Shiro glanced over at him as he walked over next to Roya.
"2 years ago, the layer of Averune was attacked by an empire. I still don't know where they came from, but I remember...everything." He spoke as he held his bandaged hand out, "Our friends are scattered across the world, and we need to find them all. But right now? We're not strong enough. Nobody could possibly go up against an entire army by themselves. Except Kami, but that's because it's Kami." Cera sighed, looking at the rest of them.
"So, we need to find as much friends as we can and use the power of friendship to defeat the empire?" Shiro questioned, watering the concept down to it's most basic understanding.
"Well, you're not wrong-" Cera spoke, sighing as he cut himself off.
"Our friends are a priority first, though." Roya spoke, looking up at the sky.
"The first place we'd want to check is the mountain area near here. Maybe it would have something interesting." Cera informed everybody as they all nodded. Shiro glanced down at his hands, knowing they were the ones that had just saved Averune. With a powerful feeling in his heart, he uttered some words.
"I can't get any stronger if I keep these talismans on my head." He spoke, Cera and Roya's eyes widening as they looked at Shiro like he was crazy. They knew how bad it was the first time he had the talisman off, there were risks beyond that now.
"Shiro...Are you aware of what you just said??" Roya looked at him, tapping on his head. He glanced over at her, his face completely serious. His hand slowly drifted towards the talisman.
With a cold grip, he held onto it.
