Chapter 4259: Calm

"Quick, see if it can be repaired." Long Hui was irritable. He followed the sailors towards the lower cabin.

Midway, he saw the little Crown Princess and Crown Prince Mo. Long Hui paused, nodded to them, and said, "Cousin, Crown Prince, the lower cabin is leaking. I'll go down and check."

The little poker-face pulled her husband aside, making way for Long Hui to pass.

After Long Hui rushed down with his people, the two stood on the deck for a while.

They gazed at the river in the distance, which, under the setting sun, reflected an eerie red hue.

It was unclear if this was due to the recent battle, which had perhaps stained the nearby river water red.

Feng Changqing quickly walked over. "This ship probably won't last until the next pier."

The ship was already failing before even reaching the sea. In the eyes of the Feng clan, the Forgetfulness Sea's Long clan was truly incompetent.

"Where is that zither-loving corpse puppet?"

"It burrowed into the water and escaped," Feng Changqing replied.

The little poker-face simply uttered an "Oh," then added, "Then it probably won't last until tonight. They'll likely be drifting on the river by then."

Feng Changqing couldn't help but twitch his lips. He really wanted to tell the poker-face: We're on the same boat here. If others go down, we won't be much better off.

However, seeing the little Crown Princess's calm expression and nonchalant demeanor, Feng Changqing decided it was best to keep quiet.

Lest he say something wrong and be questioned into existential doubt by the little one...

Mo Lian glanced at him, then instinctively pulled his wife closer to him, asking with a stern handsome face, "How are the saber-toothed fish?"

"The saber-toothed fish that had gathered earlier have been completely cleared," Feng Changqing said. "However, I wonder if such a large commotion will attract more mutated fish from the nearby river."

"It will," the little Crown Princess smoothly interjected, making both men twitch their lips.

"Tell them to prepare for battle," the little poker-face said with a serious expression. "That 'cultured' corpse puppet will probably come again."

A cultured corpse puppet? Feng Changqing and Mo Lian exchanged glances, questioning with their eyes: Is the Saintess serious?

Crown Prince Mo glanced at him, giving him a look that implied figure it out yourself.

The two held hands and strolled back to their room to rest, not bothering about whether Long Hui was overwhelmed by the leaking cabin.

By dinner time, Mu Xingchen and the Feng Changqing brothers had returned. Upon seeing the two, they shook their heads. "The lower cabin is severely flooded. It can't be repaired."

"It's estimated the ship will sink in at most half an hour."

Her Royal Highness Qiao frowned. "What are Long Hui and his people doing?"

"Still repairing in the lower cabin!"

"Oh, then let's eat first." Qiao Mu calmly took out a food box and began pulling out four or five steaming hot dishes from inside.

"Want some wine?"

The Feng Changqing brothers stared dumbfounded at their Saintess, unable to speak for a long moment.

What time was it?! The Saintess was actually asking them if they wanted wine?!

"If not, then eat quickly."

Feng Changfei twitched his lips. Weren't everyone present cultivators above the Divine realm? Did they need to eat three meals a day like mortals?

Crown Prince Mo glanced at the three, and Feng Changqing and the other two obediently sat down.

"My master said that man is iron and food is steel; one meal missed, and you'll starve. No matter how high your cultivation, you still have to eat."

The few of them nodded like pecking chicks.
