Chapter 5327: Slander

And just like that, without any warning...

Her own husband actually raised a sword to kill her.

Madam Lin stared at Master Lin, completely stunned. She felt a chill in her lower back; the sword had pierced a gaping hole through her. When it was suddenly pulled out, she saw a large amount of her own blood gush forth.

Blood, for a moment, dripped and splattered onto the ground. All around her, a steady drip-drip-drop, was the blood flowing from her body. Madam Lin didn't know that one could lose so much blood before dying.

Her face was utterly bewildered, her expression shocked, disbelieving. She didn't understand why, out of nowhere, her own husband would be so ruthless towards her.

However, she no longer had the time to think. A chill spread through her lower back, and her entire body sagged to the ground, heavily collapsing there. She likely never understood, even in death, which remark had so thoroughly offended the Prince that he ruthlessly ordered her demise.

The blood-stained long sword in Master Lin's hand clanged to the ground. He trembling picked up his wife, who lay on the ground with wide, staring eyes, and couldn't help but be overcome with grief.

The secret dealings between the Prince and Heavenly Fate were secrets that no one could reveal. His wife, like a bigmouth, had been blabbering everywhere, and it might have ruined the Prince's grand plans.

"Wifey," Master Lin cried out, "I only hope that in your next life, you can control your mouth and stop speaking so carelessly."

Meanwhile, Qiao Mu and Wushuang had not yet reached the entrance of the jewelry shop when they heard an angry shout from behind them.

"You, who are you saying, who's going to a brothel, who, who shaved their head and became, became a nun?" The voice carried a trembling, indignant tone.

The little Crown Princess was stunned. She and Princess Wushuang, holding hands, turned to look at each other, and couldn't help but exchange bewildered glances. It really was true: don't talk ill of people in broad daylight. The moment you did, they'd appear before you!

Miss Bao, dressed in a fiery red gown today, had a subtle look of anger on her delicate face, her eyes wide with bewilderment as she stared at Qiao Mu and Princess Wushuang. She simply couldn't believe her ears. There were actually women in this world so vicious, cunning, and opportunistic. They had actually slandered her behind her back, even falsely claiming she would end up in a brothel or shave her head to become a nun.

"You, you, you're simply vicious!" Bao Cuiping was so angry she looked like she was about to faint.

Bao Cuiping's personal maid quickly stepped forward to support her, her face filled with righteous indignation. "Ladies, usually we have no grievances against each other. But today, you actually slandered our young lady behind her back like this. This is simply too much!"

Princess Wushuang blinked. "Who slandered your young lady?"

This was truly bewildering. She and Qiao Qiao were just happily strolling and chatting. How did it become vicious slander in the mouth of this Miss Bao, whose thought process was so peculiar? What had the two of them even talked about?

"You, you just, just now!" Miss Bao clutched her chest, displaying a pained, struggling expression as if she could barely breathe.

"Just now, you, you yourselves know best what you said!" Miss Bao's body swayed precariously.

The little Crown Princess, being kind-hearted, quickly offered a helpful reminder, speaking with a serious expression, "Be careful, Miss Bao. If you fall, the ground is hard. It's hard to say if your bones will crack, but you'll definitely get a bump on your head."
