Chapter 156: Team Rocket Trio's Misunderstanding

(Soon, Mew and her friends are hitting the road.)

(They follow the river, but little do they know.)

(Todd is nearby and is waiting for the perfect moment to get a picture of Pikachu.)

(He then starts to remember the reason why he had to take Pikachu's picture.)

[Flashback...]

(Todd ends up meeting an old couple sometime ago.)

(The old woman says.)

old woman: "You must help us. We really need you to capture this Pikachu."

old man: "Oh, please! This Pikachu's so important to us,"

(The man says, giving him the photos.)

Todd: "Pikachu?"

(Todd says, and it turns out the photos are of Mew and her Pikachu.)

(Seeing the position of the photos, Todd thinks.)

Todd [in mind]: "Hmm. These pictures rot."

old woman: "Please. Grant this old woman one last wish before she passes on,"

(The old woman says in tears.)

(Soon, her husband and the pet Meowth begin to cry as well.)

(Todd thinks.)

Todd [in mind]: "It's so sad. They must've raised a Pikachu just like this one. I'll do it. I'll use my camera to capture Pikachu on film for them."

(Then Todd tells the old couple.)

Todd: "Don't worry! I'll take the job!"

old man: "You mean you'll do it?"

(The man says.)

Todd: "I'll capture the Pikachu perfectly!"

(Todd says.)

(Soon, the old couple and Meowth cry for joy.)

old woman: "Thank goodness we found you before it was too late,"

(The old woman happily says.)

old man: "We're very grateful. We'd appreciate it if you don't tell anyone we've been here,"

(The old man says.)

Todd: "No problem. I would never reveal my clients' identities!"

(Todd says.)

[Flashback Ends...]

Todd: "I have to grant the old woman's wish. I have to capture the perfect picture of Pikachu,"

(Todd says.)

(Meanwhile, inside a building, the old couple turns out to be Team Rocket in disguise.)

(No doubt another plan to capture Pikachu from Mew.)

(As they eat, Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "Alright, Meowth, where'd you find this Snap kid? Can he get Pikachu?"

Meowth: "It says in the Pokemon Times that this kid's the best at capturing Pokemon,"

(Meowth says, holding a magazine.)

James: "And he did show us that huge photo album with all the Pokemon he said he'd taken,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "He even said he wanted to take a shot at Pikachu, or something like that,"

(Meowth says.)

(Soon, Jessie and James begin to fight over the last piece of meat on the table.)

Jessie: "Let me have it!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

James: "I need protein!"

(James demands.)

(Ultimately, Jessie is victorious.)

(Defeated, James whines.)

James: "You're not acting like a nice old lady!"

Jessie: "That's because I'm not nice,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then takes off her disguise.)

Jessie: "or old!"

(James takes off his disguise.)

James: "Time to lose the guy's disguise!"

Jessie and James: "Surprise surprise!"

(The two Team Rocket members announce.)

Meowth: "Yeah, right,"

(Meowth says.)

(Later down the road, Mew, Pikachu, Eevee, and Tomo are washing their faces.)

(while Brock, Misty, and Togepi are relaxing.)

(Suddenly, Todd appears from the trashcan and shouts.)

Todd: "Hold it right there!"

(Todd snaps the picture, but misses as Pikachu quickly moves out of the way.)

Todd: "Hey! What?"

(Mew giggles.)

Mew: "You gotta be quicker!"

(Todd tries again, and this time he is hanging upside down on a tree.)

Todd: "Ready?"

(Todd asks, getting Pikachu's attention and snaps the picture.)

(Sadly, he misses.)

Todd: "Ah, not again!"

Mew: "Missed again,"

(Mew says with a giggle.)

(Even Tomo and Eevee are laughing.)

(Determined Todd says.)

Todd: "I'll get that picture if it's the last thing I do!"

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is digging another pitfall for Mew and the others to fall in.)

James: "Remember the last time we made a trap like this, Meowth?"

(James says, enjoying the pit trap scam.)

Meowth: "Yeah, I really dug it!?"

(Meowth says, with a chuckle.)

Jessie: "Why don't you try more digging and less talking?! Those twerps are on their way and they'll be here any."

(Jessie says, but is cut off when dirt is thrown on her face.)

(Suddenly, James hits something with his shovel as he digs.)

James: "I think I, just discovered something!"

(James says.)

(Jessie looks down in the hole.)

Jessie: "What are you stopping for? Keep digging!"

James and Meowth: "Roger!"

(James and Meowth say.)

(They soon set the trap and cover the trap with dirt, branches, and leaves, and more.)

(Then they all quickly hide in the bushes.)

(Suddenly, Meowth notices someone up ahead.)

Meowth: "Huh? It's that Todd kid! Hurry up! Disguises on!

(Jessie and James notice and quickly put on their disguises.)

(but end up wearing the wrong one.)

Meowth: "Look at yourselves,"

(Meowth says, and falls over, embarrassed.)

(Then says.)

Meowth: "You got em mixed up!"

(Jessie and James quickly switch disguises as Todd arrives on the scene.)

Todd: "I'm sorry, I haven't taken that Pikachu for you yet,"

(Todd says.)

Jessie: "We're sure you'll get it sooner or later,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "And just as a little insurance policy, we even dug this tra.."

(James says.)

(Jessie quickly covers his mouth, to not spoil the plan.)

(Then Jessie drags James away with Meowth following close behind.)

(Todd feels a bit of the ground and says.)

Todd: "This dirt is soft. Maybe a good place to wait for Pikachu. Alright!"

(Todd then sets his equipment.)

Todd: "Tripod, check. Camera, check. Lens, check. Okay! Now I'm ready!"

(Then looks through the camera to see Mew and the others heading in their direction.)

Todd: "Right on time,"

(Todd says to himself.)

(Coming towards Todd and the trap.)

(Mew and her friends are walking towards it.)

(Pikachu however is peeking out of Mew's bag and looks around to see if Todd is nearby.)

(Then ducks back in.)

Brock: "Pikachu must really hate cameras. I've never seen him act so nervous before,"

(Brock says.)

(Misty sighs and says.)

Misty: "It's too bad Snap won't get the kind of picture he's so great at."

Mew: "I know Todd means well, but he's taking this a little too far. He's so busy wanting to get a photo that he doesn't seem to understand how Pikachu is feeling about this,"

(Mew says.)

(Todd hears this and has him thinking.)

Todd [in mind]: "I don't understand Pikachu's feelings?"

Mew: "I do hope Todd will give this up, I don't know how much Pikachu can taaaaaaaaa…."

(Mew says, and screams as she falls.)

(Misty, Brock, Tomo, and Eevee fall down as well.)

(Todd gasps.)

Todd: "They're gone!"

Tomo: "Ow! My arm!"

(Tomo yelps.)

Mew: "Who's idea was it to put a hole in the road?"

(Mew yelps.)

Brock: "Yeah. Who else would have an idea like that?"

(Brock questions.)

(Misty answers.)

Misty: "Just, Team, Rocket."

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket noticed that the plan actually worked.)

Jessie: "We finally caught them!"

(Jessie happily says.)

James: "They fell for our trap!"

(James says, looking through the binoculars.)

Meowth: "Usually, we're the ones to fall in,"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "I can't wait! Soon, we'll have our Pikachu!"

(Jessie says, excited.)

(Todd looks down from the hole.)

Jessie: "Let's watch and learn from the expert,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "It's capture time!"

(James says.)

(Looking down, Todd asks.)

Todd: "How'd you get down there?"

Mew: "Easy, we fell,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "You've gotta get us out of here!"

(Misty says.)

Todd: "I think I have a rope,"

(Todd says.)

(Just then, Pikachu pops out of Mew's backpack.)

Mew: "Are you okay, Pikachu?"

(Mew asks.)

(Pikachu answers.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu!" (I'm just fine!)

(Todd notices Pikachu and quickly brings out his camera.)

Todd: "That's the Pikachu I wanna capture!"

Misty: "Great! Now throw us that rope!"

(Misty shouts.)

(In the bushes, Team Rocket notices something is off.)

Jessie: "What is that boy doing?"

(Jessie asks.)

James: "He's taking a picture of Pikachu,"

(James says.)

(Then the two glare at the Pokemon comrade.)

Jessie and James: "Meowth."

(Meowth quickly brings out the magazine and turns the pages.)

Meowth: "The magazine says he's.."

(Then finds the photo with Todd holding his camera.)

Meowth: "The best at capturing Pokemon, ON FILM?!"

(That's when Meowth realizes his mistake.)

Meowth: "Ah, now I get it! The article said that he's good at capturing Pokemon on film. I thought he actually captures them! An amusing mistake!"

(Furious James and Jessie angrily say.)

James and Jessie: "You're the mistake!"

(and punch Meowth in the air.)

(Meowth screams.)

Meowth: "Meowth!"
