Jason Brooks, a by-the-book police officer with an ironed uniform and a firm belief in rules, lives his life with structure, order, and a precise coffee routine. He’s serious, polite, and has a spreadsheet for everything — including traffic cone placement.

Maggie Greene, a sharp-witted firefighter with a devil-may-care attitude and a history of breaking her department’s dress code (and a few bones), thrives on adrenaline, sarcasm, and chaos. She’s everything Jason tries to avoid — and somehow, everything he can’t seem to stop thinking about.

After a caffeinated collision turns into a full-on feud, the town’s meddling mayor forces the fire and police departments to collaborate on a series of public outreach events. What begins as a battle of egos quickly morphs into reluctant friendship — and, eventually, something deeper neither of them saw coming.
