Chapter 28

“Aria, everyone told me you were dead, but I refused to believe it,” he choked out, “I knew you would never leave me… Aria, my precious girl…”

“Let her go, Cade. she is not Aria!”

Julian forcefully separated them, pulling Aria back into the protective circle of his own arms and declaring, “She is Coralie Vance, your future sister-in-law.”

“That’s impossible,” Cade snarled, refusing to accept Julian’s words. This was Aria, his Aria, a truth he felt in the very marrow of his bones.

Countless women in New York had tried to capture his attention since Aria’s "death," some even undergoing surgery to mimic her features, but a person’s gaze, the soul in their eyes, was impossible to replicate, and he could recognize hers in a single, heart-stopping glance.

He knew Aria’s eyes, and he was absolutely certain that the woman standing before him was her, even though the scars on her face had miraculously vanished.
