Reincarnation (3)

"Father, I have something to talk about."

"How rare of you to come greet me, Lucian. Come, sit."

I take a seat in front of my father.

"I was going to call for you, and look you're here without me calling."

"What do you want to talk about, Father?"

"I'll tell you after I'm done listening to you. Tell me, what do you want to talk about?"

"Father, I want to go to the kingdom, and I want to join Iris Academy as well."

"So suddenly?"

"Yes, Father. I have some things I want to achieve."

"So you already know about Eleanor coming tomorrow and staying here until she joins Iris Academy?"

"What? No."

"Well, your fiancée is arriving tomorrow and will be staying in your chambers. You can plan everything after discussing it with her. I have no issue if you two want to go to the kingdom or anywhere else. I'll arrange the funds for your travel plans by the day after tomorrow."

Eleanor Thornegrave, my fiancée.

I've never spoken to her in private, just exchanged a few words during formal events.

Father arranged my marriage to her after a lot of effort and had to pay a heavy price, but he's convinced that this decision is for the best for Valemont.

"I'll have the second bedroom prepared for her by tomorrow."

"That's good."

"Father, I also need a healing potion or a healer."

"There are no healers available right now, but I can give you a low-grade healing potion."

"That will be sufficient, Father."

"I'll have it sent to your room."

Father has been growing weaker and weaker over the past fifteen years. At this stage, he can barely use his powers.

Well, I have no choice but to wait for my fiancée to arrive tomorrow.

In this world, marriage involves only two steps:

First, getting engaged in the temple.

Second, consummating the marriage. Since the first night itself is considered a sacred ritual.

We are already engaged, but I know almost nothing about her. She never appeared in The Iris Saga just like Seren.

I return to my room, and soon after, the potion arrives, brought by my personal maid, Mrs. Meg.

She's in her late 40s but is exceptionally good at her work as a maid.

She has a loyalty crest of mine engraved on her hand.

I also inform her to clean up the second bedroom, as Eleanor will be arriving tomorrow.

She seems genuinely happy upon hearing that Eleanor is coming. Maybe she has spoken to her before?

"Hey, Seren, wake up."

I wake Seren up.

She quickly realizes she's overslept today.

"Sorry, Master. I don't know why I slept so long."

"It's alright. Here, drink this."

I hand her the potion, and she immediately drinks it all.

"What was that, Master?"

Ask that before drinking!!!!!!

"Shouldn't you have asked that question before drinking it?"

"No, it was your order that I drink it, so whatever it was, I would've drunk it."

"It was a healing potion."

"Master, why waste an expensive potion on me?"

"It's alright. I know our family has monetary issues right now, but I'll solve them soon. So you don't have to worry about small things."

"Still, Master"

I turn Seren around so I can check her back, not letting her finish.

"There are still marks from yesterday."

"It's alright, Master. I don't mind them."

"In fact... I love them."

"What was that last part?"

I'm sure she just said something.

"Nothing, Master."

"Anyway, we need to order some proper clothes for you."

"Why? Does Master no longer want to see my ugly body?"

"No, it's just that Eleanor is coming tomorrow, so I thought it would be better if you wore proper clothes. She's a count's daughter, after all."

"I I see."

I ask Meg to bring some proper clothes for Seren.

She soon returns with a set that fits Seren perfectly.

She looks really cute in them.

"You look good in them, Seren."

"Thank you, Master."

Seren's face turns completely red, and the clothes suit her so well that it's almost distracting.

I spend the rest of the day studying in the library.

At night, Seren sleeps with me. We're both completely naked because if I don't maintain physical contact, I grow weaker from the lack of energy and could eventually die. That's the curse of this half-incubus body.

Still, I can't get used to it. It always makes my excitement rise, no matter how often it happens.

[Next day]

I was called by Father, and he told me to treat Eleanor with respect and care.

Of course, I already plan to do exactly that.

We've never really had a serious conversation. Only brief, polite exchanges at public events, mostly about family matters. But soon, I'll be alone with her in private for the first time.

She's a truly beautiful woman. I'm sure she was reluctant about marrying me. Maybe her family forced the decision on her.

While I was speaking with Father, it seems Eleanor had already arrived. Apparently, she'll be meeting with father first for a few minutes.

Her personal maid is already in the second bedroom, preparing the space for her.

"Father, I'll take my leave now."

"Okay."

I head straight to my quarters and enter Eleanor's room.

Her personal maid, who was also remarkably beautiful was preparing the room to Eleanor's liking.

"Is there anything I should prepare for Eleanor?"

"Greetings, Master Lucian."

The maid gracefully bowed to me.

I think I now understand why Lucian forced himself on this maid and made Eleanor return to her house in anger in The Iris Saga.

"That won't be necessary, but I'm sure Lady Eleanor will be happy with your presence when she arrives."

"I see. Then, if you're done, you may leave. I'll wait for her here after she finishes meeting with my father."

I sent the maid to the library, where she could sit and wait comfortably.

Even with Lucian's memories, I feel quite nervous about this situation because I still have no idea what Eleanor is really like.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes, Eleanor enters the room.

She wears an elegant dress in red and white.

Her crimson eyes and silver hair look absolutely stunning in this outfit.

She carries an air of grace and nobility—exactly what you'd expect from a highborn lady.

Her svelte figure could captivate anyone's heart.

"Greetings, my lord."

"G-Greetings."

I'm stuttering.

"My lord, you don't have to be nervous."

Eleanor slowly walks up to me and sits on my thighs.

"I've been longing for this day to come."

She rests her head on my chest and wraps her arms around me.

"Eleanor, there's something I want to talk to you about."
