Chapter 44: Happy News

"120 Honey Points? I didn't think I had that many. Use all the Honey Points I have—I'll pay the rest in gold coins." Remembering that he had seventy-something Honey Points, Kai handed over his employee card and asked to pay the rest of the amount in gold coins.

"Let's see... you have 77 Honey Points. You'll need to pay 43 gold coins." After checking Kai's employee card, Ares informed him of the remaining cost for the Grade 4 Healing Potion.

Hearing that they only needed to pay 43 gold coins, Oliver was both happy and surprised—happy that they didn't have to sell the Hawk Bow anymore, and surprised that Kai's Honey Points were worth so much.

A single Honey Point is equal to a gold coin.

"Take them out." Knowing that 43 gold coins were needed, Kai turned toward Oliver for the money.

After the initial surprise, Oliver quickly took 43 gold coins from his pockets and handed them over to Kai.

After paying for the Grade 4 Healing Potion, Kai took his employee card back from Ares.

"I think you should've read it in the rulebook, but I still have to remind you—as an Apprentice Alchemist, you can only exchange one item per month using your Honey Points." While returning the card, Ares reminded Kai.

"I know!" Saying so, Kai put the Grade 4 Healing Potion and his employee card into his storage bag.

Leaving the Honey Pill Shop, Kai and Oliver hurried back to the Candy Complex.

"Did you get it?" Half an hour later, as they entered the lounge, Sophia asked about the Grade 4 Healing Potion.

"Here." Kai took out the Grade 4 Healing Potion from his storage bag and handed it over to Sophia, who took the potion and began giving it to Aisha, drop by drop.

"How much did the Hawk Bow sell for?" As Sophia was busy administering the potion to Aisha, Eric approached Oliver and asked.

In the battle with the Pack Leader of the Silver Wolves, both Eric's and Oliver's armor had been badly damaged and needed urgent repairs. Aside from the armor, Eric's sword was also destroyed, and they even needed a new shield for Oliver.

"Didn't have to sell the Hawk Bow. With Kai's Honey Points, we only paid 43 gold coins out of pocket for the Healing Potion," Oliver informed Eric, letting him know the Hawk Bow was still with them.

"That's great. Will the remaining amount be enough for repairs?" Hearing that the Hawk Bow wasn't sold, Eric was relieved. After all, the Hawk Bow was the most powerful and useful weapon they had.

"There are still 35 gold coins left. They should be enough for the repairs." After thinking about the items that needed fixing, Oliver did a quick mental calculation and replied.

"That's good." Knowing that there was enough money for the repairs, Eric started making plans for tomorrow. It couldn't be helped—they had run through everything they had because of Aisha's injuries.

While Eric and Oliver were talking, Sophia finished giving Aisha the entire Grade 4 Healing Potion. The complexion on Aisha's face softened, and any signs of pain or discomfort disappeared.

Seeing this, everyone was relieved.

"Did you ask Henry why he got scared?" Now that Aisha's condition was no longer dangerous, Oliver calmed down and asked Eric.

"Well, he's going to be a father." When Eric asked, Henry had told him that he was about to become a father. The reason he froze during the battle was because he wanted to be there for his child—and not leave them alone in this dangerous world, like his own father had done.

"It can't be, right?" Oliver wasn't surprised that Henry had gotten a girl pregnant—given how he acted, it was only a matter of time. What did surprise him was that Henry's recent change in behavior was because of this.

"He found out on Sunday. That's why he left so early on Monday after we returned from the Dark Forest." Eric explained. While everyone had assumed Henry had gotten into trouble, it turned out he was going to be a father.

"This..." Oliver was at a loss for words. He didn't know what to say. He was somewhat aware of Henry's past and knew that his father had abandoned him when he was just three years old. Ever since then, Henry had dreamed of raising his own children with the love and care he never received from his father.

"Sorry about earlier. I was afraid of losing Aisha, so I lashed out at you." After some thought, Oliver approached Henry and apologized.

"You don't have to apologize. It was my fault. If I hadn't retreated, Aisha wouldn't have been injured in the first place," Henry still kept his head low and replied in a low voice.

"Anyway, congrats! So, who's pregnant and how many months along?" After congratulating Henry, Oliver asked which of his girlfriends was pregnant.

"It's Alice, and she's two months pregnant." Talking about his upcoming baby, Henry's face regained some color.

"Wait, Henry got a girl pregnant?"

"Alice? You mean that girl with short hair?"

"What! Alice is pregnant?!"

Hearing that Henry had gotten a girl pregnant—and that it was Alice—everyone was shocked.

"Big bro, is Sister Alice going to have a baby?" While everyone was stunned, Yara tugged on Kai's clothes and asked. In that moment, Yara forgot all about Big Sister Aisha covered in bandages like Uncle Tony.

Like everyone else, Yara had also met Alice quite a few times, and every time Alice came over, she would bring gifts for Yara.

"Yes, it seems so." Kai was also surprised when he heard Alice was pregnant. He had met Alice before—she was cheerful and could cook some amazing food.

After hearing about Alice's pregnancy, everyone almost forgot about Aisha and had a small celebration.

After dinner, Kai returned to his room and slowly drifted into dreams.

Waking up the next day, Kai freshened up and, after grabbing his storage bag, headed downstairs.

Entering the lounge, Kai saw Eric, Oliver, Henry, Omar, and Orion getting ready to leave.

"Ah, Kai, you're up. Although I've already said it, thanks again for yesterday." Thanking Kai once more for the Grade 4 Healing Potion, Eric and the others left.

"How is Aisha now?" Sitting at the dining table, Kai asked Sophia about her.

"What about me?" Before Sophia could answer, Aisha came downstairs, her right shoulder still wrapped in bandages.

"I was just asking about your condition." Kai looked at Aisha, clearly impressed by the effect of the Grade 4 Healing Potion.

"Aside from a little discomfort, I don't feel anything." Aisha moved her right arm slightly and answered Kai.

Aisha was very confused. That morning, when she woke up, Sophia told her that the Pack Leader of the Silver Wolves had launched a sneak attack and that her life had been in critical condition. Last night, they gave her a Grade 4 Healing Potion, and she should be feeling much better now.

However, all Aisha could remember was fighting a pack of Silver Wolves—everything after that was blank, and she had no recollection of what had happened.

If it weren't for the bandages on her right shoulder and the dull pain in her right arm, she would've thought everyone was joking with her.
