Mighty De'Marco Suddenly Turns Soft

"Take, wear this," Julian said and tossed a small pack to her on the dining table.

Aurora picked it up and opened it to reveal a ring. She hesitated to put it on but eventually did, and it was the perfect fit.

"If anyone asks, that's our wedding ring." He said and continued to eat his breakfast.

Looking at the ring, Aurora was impressed that it would have cost a fortune. She rolled her eyes and continued to eat.

The time flew by like the fastest bird, and soon, it was time to leave for the event. Julian was ready, sitting on a sofa, waiting for Aurora to be out.

After two more impatient minutes, she walked out with makeup artists beside her.

Her makeup looked stunning, to the extent that her slightly tanned face had taken on a bright glow.

And her dress?

Oh God…

It just fitted her so sexy curves to the extent that Julian nearly began to drool as she alighted from the stairs like a bride to meet her groom.

"You are ready?" He tried to stay composed as she approached him.

"Yes, she replied with a slight smile.

"Shall we?" He bent his right arm, and she placed her hand in the hole he made as they walked like a fairy tale couple.

A limousine was parked outside of the mansion, and the door was opened for them.

They immediately disengaged and sat in opposite directions.

"Next time, you shouldn't cling on to me like that. It was too much." Julian said, and Aurora could only snort.

Wasn't he the same individual who told her to act clingy to him in public, most especially?

She ignored him throughout the rude behavior, and he kept murmuring like a naughty child.

Why? she had no clue.

The door was soon open, signaling that they had arrived at the venue – The Blackwoods' mansion.

What a great way for her to start up her research. If the blood coin were in there, she would find it.

They walked out hand in hand in the same style, and everyone who was outside could not help but admire them.

Some noticing that it was Julian Blackwood with the woman were utterly shocked.

They both ignored them as Aurora tried to put up a happy smile while Julian remained indifferent and handsome.

The event had already started, and three large dining tables were set in the large hall.

"Mom, met my wife, Camila." Julian introduced her to his mother first.

"Oh my, my son. You finally oblige." His mother was genuinely excited.

"But why does she look this ugly? I thought you like beautiful women like Britney, Julian." His aunt said, and his mom just noticed that her son's choice wasn't so attractive in the face.

"I think we don't have to judge people in that manner or do we?" Julian smiled briefly and pulled Aurora for some drinks.

"Julian." A woman suddenly rushed happily to him but stopped mid-way when she saw him holding Aurora's hand tightly.

"Who is she?" She demanded to know.

"My wife. Any problem?" Julian replied and turned back to Aurora.

"Julian, why would you do this to me? I have waited so long for us to be together and now I just get to find out that you are married?" The lady began to sob.

"How cruel can you be, Julian?" Her tears never seemed to move Julian, and she hated every bit of it.

Soon, the dinner was over, and it was time for dancing. The band began, and Aurora excused herself to the bathroom.

"Hey, you." Of course, she has followed her. Aurora turned around, and a hot slap suddenly met her left cheek.

"How dare you, huh? I know you are just his assistant, and your marriage with him would certainly be fake, so don't you dare get on my nerves, you hear me?" She attempted to slap her again, but Aurora stopped her midway by holding her hand in the air.

"And don't you dare piss me off too, I could be your worst nightmare." Aurora smiled evilly and walked away immediately.

The lady watched Aurora's back as her body slowly turned smaller as she walked farther through the hallway.

She had heard that voice before, but she couldn't quite believe that Aurora would have turned this ugly. But how on earth was she meant to find out who this crazy-looking woman was?

She stumped her feet angrily on the floor and rushed back into the hall.

"Julian, will you dance with me?" She asked with puppy-dog eyes, and Julian hated puppies. He could only condole cats, and that was why he could relate with Aurora (Bailey) more.

"Not interested." He was waiting for Aurora.

"Why not? We used to dance together before." That was then when he had no choice, but now the universe has brought him one.

Britney forcefully pulled him to the dance floor and wrapped her hands around his neck, then he wrapped his hands around her waist so that they could look into each other's eyes.

"I know you love me Julian, and I'll prove to you that I'm capable to be your wife." She said and pressed her body on his with a slight moan.

"I can give you your heart desires tonight, Julian. Just give me one chance and I'll be better than she is " she whispered into his ear.

Julian suddenly spotted Aurora approaching them, and she seemed nad and furious.

She pulled him away, and Britney began to protest as they each pulled one of his arms.

"Let him go, now! How dare you flirt with my husband?" Aurora said, her eyes filled with rage.

"Oh you ugly thing do you think you are really the main thing here?" Britney smirked.

Aurora chuckled and did the most awful thing she would have ever done in her life.

She leaned forward and engaged Julian in a short kiss, which Julian himself wasn't expecting, but it felt good indeed.

She then pulled him forcefully up the stairs and into a room, and everyone could only stand there watching.

Had the mighty De'Marco suddenly turned soft?
