6:31 PM – The Battlefield Freezes
POV: Elle
The air went cold.
Not from wind. Not from magic. But from presence.
Everyone stopped moving — fighters, monsters, even the windcasters paused mid-cast. The sky above them wasn't just dark anymore. It was alive.
The Eye in the sky had fully opened. A vertical slit of molten gold, bigger than the sun, looking down upon the world like a judgment rendered.
And beneath it, Kael glowed green. Divine Echo wasn't fading. It was intensifying.
Elle felt her heartbeat sync with the glyph on her arm. It was like every Awakened on the battlefield was connected by some invisible pulse. Strength flooded her limbs. Her spear pulsed with fire, wind, and electricity all at once.
Around her, cheers erupted from Safe Zone fighters as the tide began to turn.
But not everyone was cheering.
Some stared at Kael in horror.

6:33 PM – Kael vs. the Herald
POV: Kael
The Herald roared, glyphs blaring like sirens, and lunged.
Kael didn't flinch.
He dodged with grace and malice, his movements so fast they left afterimages in green. His Obsidian Dagger struck first — slicing through the Herald's hip, drawing molten stone-like ichor.
Then the Dagger of Humility followed, glowing red-hot, its short-sword form igniting mid-air.
Kael drove it deep into the Herald's side.
The creature screamed. Not from pain, but from insult.
It wasn't just being wounded.
It was being outplayed.
The mimic stood behind Kael, whispering now.
"You're beyond your rank. You're not using powers. You're becoming one."
Kael didn't respond.
His eyes were feral.

6:37 PM – The War Rages
POV: Dain
Dain dropped three glyph-beasts in one rapid-fire burst.
His Kinetic Flow surged through him like a storm. His bullets curved in mid-air. His perception was heightened. It felt like time had slowed.
Around him, Safe Zone Awakened had stopped retreating.
They were pushing forward.
A man with burning fists punched through a stonebeast's chest. A twin-ax wielder cleaved a five-armed crawler in two. Behind them, a healer raised her hands and light shimmered across wounded bodies.
Kael had changed everything.
But as Dain turned to check Kael's position, his blood went cold.
Kael was no longer moving like a man.
He was hunting like a monster.

6:40 PM – Kael Transcends
POV: Kael
Routine Surge: Active. Ghost Veil: Active. Injury Heal: Active.
And all of it without limits.
Kael didn't think anymore.
He responded. He felt threats before they emerged. He moved before the Herald attacked. It was like he existed five seconds ahead of reality.
The mimic stood behind, now watching in awe.
"You're not Kael anymore. You're what Kael would become if he abandoned mercy."
Kael screamed again and slammed his fused blade into the Herald's mask-like face.
The steel met glyphstone.
And cracked it.
Blood — black and steaming — sprayed into the air.
The Eye above twitched.
---
6:45 PM – Monster vs. Monster
The Herald retaliated.
Its back cracked open like a vault, revealing dozens of glyph tendrils that shot outward.
Kael flipped backward, daggers flashing, cutting through the first three tendrils.
One pierced his side.
He didn't even flinch.
He grabbed it with his bare hand and shattered it like brittle bone.
The mimic stared in disbelief.
Kael activated Ghost Veil again, and his body shimmered. He vanished into a flicker of emerald mist and reappeared above the Herald.
He plunged both daggers into its skull.
The Eye blinked.
The Herald screeched.
The earth trembled.

6:50 PM – Awe and Fear
POV: Elle / Safe Zone Fighters
The Awakened had gathered at the ridgeline now.
Watching.
Cheering.
Praying.
Kael fought like a demon torn from myth. But it wasn't just power. It was precision.
Every strike calculated.
Every move predictive.
He moved like he knew how the enemy would die before it did.
Elle gripped her spear tighter.
"We're watching something sacred," she whispered.
A veteran nearby, one who'd lost his whole squad weeks ago, simply fell to his knees.
"That's no human," he said. "That's a god in a man's skin."
---
6:55 PM – The Final Clash
POV: Kael
The Herald was faltering.
It moved slower now. Its glyphs flickered.
Kael, on the other hand, felt invincible.
Divine Echo wasn't just amplifying him. It was rewriting the rules.
He could feel every heartbeat in a 50-meter radius. He could sense every gust of wind. Every hostile thought.
And now, as he closed in for the final blow, something whispered:
"Finish it, Kael. Let this be your final evolution."
He stabbed his Obsidian Dagger into the Herald's core.
Then he fused his two daggers into a short sword and drove the Shortsword into its heart.
A shockwave pulsed outward.
The Herald collapsed.
---
6:59 PM – The Eye Judges
Kael dropped to his knees.
His aura flickered.
The mimic ran forward, catching him.
Then the Eye above blinked again.
And for a heartbeat, Kael felt it inside his mind.
A voice, ancient and hollow:
"One of us. Or one of them. Choose."
Kael looked up.
And whispered, "Neither."
