Chapter 3

I immediately built a wooden hovel for the people who had just appeared, and watched them look at the new buildings in awe. They bow toward the direction of the shrine and chant some words that I don't understand.

The hovel increases their happiness and loyalty. They can create their own home, but making a few for them is not a problem. The starter woods from the system are enough for me to build 60 hovels, with quite a few still left.

I built a warehouse and saw it appear instantly. I smile a little because usually it takes an hour to complete. Anyway, this warehouse is different from the warehouse that people in this world create. This warehouse contains a pocket dimension that can store more than it looks like. The room is bigger on the inside.

I shake my head, build the [Lumber Mill], and order the humans to chop some trees. I see two of them walk to the Lumber Mill and take the axes that the system provides them. I widen my eyes when I see them move at lightning speed and chop a tree in a single swing.

It looks like they also do not expect it by the look on their faces. I can feel my body get warm as all of them give me their devotion. Yes. Give me more. Give your faith and empower me.

I shake my head and snap from that dangerous thinking. I cannot become an egomaniac just because I get a boost of power. I will not become a young master type of person.

I look at the system and see the woods increase at an incredible speed. With a wave of my hand, I created a farm and a ranch. The farm already has wheat planted, and it grows at a very fast rate. The ranch contains pigs, and they are already adults. Hell, they already have babies.

I immediately tell the humans to take care of the farm and the ranch. Harvest the farm and butcher the adult pigs. I also told them to make sure to store the food inside the warehouse. In fact, I decided to make more warehouses.

I told them to divide the resource. Each category will go to one warehouse.

While they are working, I create a quarry near the stone deposit, a kilometer away from the city. I make a warehouse next to the quarry so the workers can store the stone they gather directly in the warehouse.

They immediately left the city before I ordered them to do something and walked to the quarry. It looks like my feelings are projected onto them, and it makes my life easier. That means I can control the flow of the growth.

With the quarry done, I look through the list of things I can make while in this age.

Oh, yeah. I'm not telling you that a new civilization will start in the 'Stone Age', huh? Well, just like a Turn-Based Strategy game back in my previous world, you need to start from the very beginning.

The quotation around the Stone Age is because it is not a real Stone Age. It is just a saying among the awakeners because all of us start with weapons made of stone instead of metal.

To leave this age, you need to do some research, and to do that, I need to build a Palace of Knowledge. I wait for the stone to be collected, and when I have enough stone, I immediately put the Palace of Knowledge next to my castle.

When the building is completed, a second panel appears, and I read through the things I can research. The first thing I can research is called [Agriculture], which summons other plants around the world and lets certain people in this world know how to cultivate them.

It does not cost me anything, and it is done in a matter of minutes. When it is done, I can see some of my humans perk up and look around in wonder and curiosity.

The second research is called [Animal Husbandry]. Just like the previous one, this one summons animals around the world and gives knowledge of how to take care of them and breed them. This gives me a horse, camel, and elephant as potential war mounts.

Just like before, it did not take long for me to complete the research, and I started the third one called [Mining]. This opened up a new building for me. It is called [Ore Mine]. It lets me mine all kinds of ore, depending on the vein.

It can be gold, silver, or something very rare like Adamantium.

The nearest vein is Copper, something that I need to step forward. There is also iron a few kilometers away from the city, but we need to go through a thick jungle to reach that vein. We can go there, but for now, I need to focus on the city.

I built the mine and told the humans to start mining. Three of them walk to the mine, and I continue to build my civilization. This time, I decided to make a wall around the city. It is a primitive wall made of wood.

Well, it is not really a wall but rather a palisade because it is nothing but wooden logs stuck on the ground around the city. It is tight enough to prevent an arrow from flying through the crack, but it is weak and easy to break.

Lucky for me, the wall is massive, and I can expand it even more after consuming resources. However, that is good enough for now. I will expand it later. For now, I need to research more things and build more things.

When I receive some copper, I immediately research [Bronze Weaponry] that unlocks Tin ore in my world, and now there is one nearby. It also unlocks the [Blacksmith] for me to make bronze ingots and weaponry. I make another mine and wait for them to gather enough Tin to make bronze.

When I have enough, I create weaponry and now unlock [Military Training] for me to research. When it is done, I unlock [Barracks], and when I am done building the [Barracks], it unlocks the function of army building.

Unlike in the game, I can build only two types of army. The first is [Infantry] and the second is [Range Unit]. The infantry can consist of swordsmen, spearmen, and shielders. As for the range unit, there are slingers and archers.

A unit of the army consists of 50 people. It is a big number because I chose humans.

There are 300 people arriving here, and it will grow because the system will keep giving me more people in the first week. Each day in the real world is equal to one year in the Micro World. That means there will be seven years for them to increase in population.

As humans, I know they will reach thousands by the end of the week.

Now that I remember, there will be a tournament in two weeks, right? The system's tournament appears four times yearly at a specific time. This is the first tournament of the year and will happen on the 21st of March, in the Spring Equinox.

That should be enough time for me to build my civilization.

You know? The mods should affect the humans in this world as well. That means I can give them orders to research more and search for something new to bring to the city. However, I need to make an army to explore this world.

One hundred fifty should be enough, right? Let's make two units of infantry and one range unit.

I nod in satisfaction and give orders to my people. I tell them to research new things, build anything they want, and explore the world to find something new. When I am done, I do one last thing.

"This world shall be called Gaia from now on."
