Chapter 6: Eclipsal Lord vs. Primordial – A Battle of Two Forces
"So, the Eclipsal Lord of this nation has finally arrived, huh?" Vaelthar remarked, his gaze locking onto Omnithara.
Omnithara stood in the air draped in a flowing black coat that shifted like a living shadow with tattered ends writhing from it. Long silver hair cascaded his shoulders. The white of his eyes completely black like an abyss. His eyes golden with crimson pupils. The aura of his presence alone is enough to make Vaelthar feel uneasy.
Without wasting any further time. Vaelthar recovered his entire body in an instant showing the high level of recovery of his Unshackled Existence.
"So, you're the new Eclipsal Lord of Cosmic, huh?" Vaelthar said. "I was familiar with the old one. I attacked because he was one of the weakest."
His expression stayed cautious as he lunged forward with speed breaking the sound barrier. "Let's see how much better you are than him."
He did not expect Omnithara to falter or to be weak like his predecessor.
And just as he thought—
Omnithara sidestepped in midair, evading effortlessly, and countered with a sharp knee to Vaelthar's chin.
Vaelthar staggered back from the impact, groaning in pain. "You—!" he spat venomously before steadying himself. Taking a deep breath, he glared at Omnithara. "Well, I expected a reaction speed like that to be with you, anyways."
This time, he lunged with true intent.
Yet again, Omnithara countered. A knee to the stomach sent Vaelthar reeling.
"Gah!" Vaelthar gasped, clutching his abdomen. His eyes darkened. "I see. Even better than I thought, huh?"
This time, instead of closing the distance, he conjured a storm of dark energy, a technique that had previously weakened even Lunaria.
But Omnithara nullified it with just a look.
"You are holding back, I know." Omnithara said, aware of Vaelthar's schemes.
Vaelthar now knew—he couldn't overpower Omnithara.
But he had experience. Perhaps he could deceive him.
With newfound caution, Vaelthar engaged again. Their battle intensified, blows exchanged, attacks dodged, the space around them warping from their sheer force.
Suddenly—
Vaelthar unleashed an omnidirectional attack, violet rays of void energy radiating outward, consuming the battlefield in a storm of destruction.
He can't dodge this. He thought calmly.
But then—
The glow of Omnithara's crimson eyes intensified.
The void rays froze—then disintegrated.
Vaelthar barely had time to process what had happened before the world around him shifted.
Darkness swallowed them whole.
A void-like domain materialized, trapping them both within its abyssal grasp. Vaelthar glanced around warily before turning to Omnithara, whose gaze now burned with an eternal crimson light.
Around them, countless eyes—identical to Omnithara's own—opened within the void, each one staring directly at Vaelthar.
Omnithara's voice resonated through the domain.
"This is my Essence, Primordial of Annihilation."
"Vision of Eternity."
The eyes blinked in eerie unison before unleashing a barrage of spatial rays, each one precise, absolute.
Essence… The ultimate power in the history of Aetherion.
It is of three types.
It is of three Types:
Normal
Unique
And God
Having even one God Essence made up a lot of power for someone.
Essence is not the ultimate power because of its power and potential.
But because it takes no Mana to use. Scaling only through the soul, mind and will of its user.
Vaelthar screamed as the beams impaled him, pain ripping through his body. "Gah!" His mind reeled. "H-How!?"
He gritted his teeth, barely keeping himself together. "How are you still standing despite the strain of that Essence!?"
Omnithara remained unfazed. But before answering the question he raises his hand slightly signaling Thalkavar and Zerothis to leave.
"I can handle this, you two aid the ohers."
Hearing the command, the two Primordials teleported away in an instant.
As he looked back at Vaelthar to answer him.
"I am a True Eclipsal Lord. You should expect this much."
Vaelthar seethed. That was a fair point—but he knew it wasn't the whole truth. But the sheer audacity to straight up ignore his question first fueled it further.
"You—!"
Before he could finish, a light energy blast struck his head, slamming him down.
A second, abyssal energy erupted, launching him into the air.
Finally, a flame shot like a bullet energy struck his stomach, sending him crashing into the ground.
Groaning, weakened, Vaelthar forced himself to look up—only to see a familiar figure stepping forward.
Azarine.
His presence was undeniable.
Azarine gazed down at him. "Surrender, Vaelthar."
"You have lost."
