Chapter 7: Energy of Annihilation

As Vaelthar stared at the the Eclipsal Lords in front of him, he felt no fear.

He knew Azarine weren't as strong as Omnithara. After all, he knew him.

"Oho~ And what makes you think I am going to surrender?" Vaelthar mocked, understanding that if he played it smart, he could easily escape.

Azarine replied, "You lack the power to defeat us all at once. You can't beat the four of us together."

Vaelthar blinked in confusion at that.

"Four?"

Azarine confused by Vaelthar's words looks at his side realizing.

The other two Eclipsal Lords weren't there.

His eyes twitched in annoyance as he looks at Omnithara.

"Where are those two?"

Omnithara used to the chaos of the Trio answers with a tired tone. "Seraphine is dealing with a huge portion of the Annihilots and Thanara is guiding the lost souls to the nether realm as I see through my Essence."

"Those two… At least, it's not some dumb distraction like usual this time." Azarine muttered with a sigh before looking back at Vaelthar.

"But my point still stands. You can't beat all four of us together." Azarine said, snapping Vaelthar out of the confusion.

Vaelthar couldn't argue with that. He was wounded from Omnithara's attacks and only alive due to his 'Unshackled Existence'. However, he refused to back down.

"That may be true," Vaelthar admitted. "But do not forget, as the first Primordial, I have far more experience than any of you. I have countless tricks to survive."

Before anyone could respond, Vaelthar summoned a giant red beam from his chest. This wasn't void energy or dark mana. It was his own mana—

The Energy of Annihilation.

Power so immense that even Omnithara was forced to dodge due to how sudden it was.

Seraphine and Thanara wherever they were in Celmyra stared at the aftermath of the attack. Their eyes widening at the sight.

The Nation of Celmyra was half-destroyed by the attack, and the very fabric of space-time distorted in the air.

"What the actual hell..." Seraphine muttered, shocked by the destructive force. Before she heard Vaelthar's yell from far.

"You still think I'm going to surrender?!"

Before anyone could react, Vaelthar unleashed a barrage of red beams from his fingers.

"Woah! Ah, it burns! Ow, ow, ow!" Seraphine barely dodged but got grazed on the back by the hot laser, overreacting dramatically to the pain.

Thanara deflected the attack with her scythe. "Right on time."

Azarine followed suit with his celestial katana.

Omnithara simply erased the beams, just as he had with Vaelthar's void energy rays.

No longer holding back, Vaelthar went all out. He punched Azarine in the gut and slammed him to the ground. Before he could react, he drove his knee into him, making him gasp for breath.

"Gah!"

Azarine tried to stand back up, but Vaelthar punched him in the face, grabbed his face, and rammed him against the distorted space-time before throwing him into the nearest building.

"Hey! Who gave you permission to throw my best friend like that?!" Seraphine roared, charging at Vaelthar. Flames trailing behind her.

In response, Vaelthar pierced Seraphine's chest with another beam, immobilizing her for a moment. Then, he kneed Seraphine's chin hard, making her gasp in pain.

Seraphine countered with a firestorm from her katana.

Vaelthar swatted the flames away with a swing of his arm and delivered a devastating punch to Seraphine's face, slamming him into a boulder and shattering it on impact.

As Vaelthar turned to Omnithara, he made no move to fight him directly.

"I am not foolish enough to fight you yet," Vaelthar said. "Not until I find your weakness."

Before Vaelthar could leave, Omnithara lunged at him with incredible speed, slamming him to the ground.

"You're not escaping yet," Omnithara declared, charging a cosmic ray in his hand.

Vaelthar countered with his own beam, causing an explosion that halted Omnithara's attack.

"Is that so? Then I'll just stop you from attacking!"

Vaelthar summoned another Energy of Annihilation beam. Omnithara dodged, but in that split second, Vaelthar noticed something.

A grin formed on his face.

So that's how you're immune to your own ability... Perfect for the future.

Vaelthar tried to make his escape but was suddenly struck by a combination attack of a spatial and fire ray.

"Ugh!" Vaelthar grumbled and turned to see the source.

Azarine and Seraphine were back in the air again despite the blood they were bleeding.

"Not yet, Vaelthar." Azarine said, way more serious than he already was. He was pissed now.

"You figured out your flaw, huh?" Seraphine said, still having her smile on her face.

"Exactly, why should I hold back when that would only make it easier to defeat me?" Vaelthar retorted, launching another Energy of Annihilation beam.

Before the beam could strike the two, Omnithara summoned a black hole between them, absorbing the beam without any effect.

Vaelthar stared annoyedly. Until­—

Azarine now completely pissed off, lunged at a speed far surpassing Vaelthar's and slammed his Katana right into Vaelthar's chest core. "Let me show you what my Eclipsera can do, when I am pissed off!"

Before Vaelthar could react, Azarine created a gravitational orb around Vaelthar to crush his body. Quickly following up, with a fury of slashes tearing off Vaelthar's limbs as he tried to keep up with the pace through blocking and recovering but the speed of those slashes was faster than the speed of Light.

Seraphine and Omnithara watched the scene meanwhile.

"His temper is really low, isn't it?" Seraphine asked, used to azarine's anger.

"Yes, but that's normal for a Netherborn like him." Omnithara answered back.

Thanara walked towards them with her tiny figure finally finished with sending the dead souls to the nether realm.

Seraphine glanced at her. "Finally done?"

"Yes" Thanara replied with a deadpan look. "So, our plan worked, huh?"

"Seems so." Seraphine answered back, her voice calm and chill as she crosses her arms behind her head.

Omnithara glanced at them in slight confusion, at their mysterious conversation. "Plan?"

Seraphine glanced at him and answered to his confusion. "Ah right, you did not know what we meant by our 'Plan'."

Thanara started to explain their plan as Azarine was still fighting Vaelthar. "Well, ever since he evolved from an Oni to a Netherborn. His wrath is the key source of his strength, remember?"

Omnithara nodded, as he understood what the two meant now. "Ah, I see… Your plan was to make him as annoyed as possible."

He looked back at the two powerhouses fighting. "So, that the moment Vaelthar causes Azarine's temper that was already at its limit to burst and making him mad."

"Azarine's species as a Netherborn would enhance his power by his wrath. So, that Vaelthar gets outclassed by him quick."

"Exactly~" Seraphine hummed. "So, now we can aid the others while he is dealing with the source of the troub-"

A LOUD SOUND OF DESTRUCTION!

The moment the three glanced back and paused awkwardly at the sight in front of them.

"Let's go before he destroys down the entire place." Thanara suggested, as the three went there to see the catastrophic destruction there.

"I see a lot of destruction through Vision of Eternity." Omnithara mentioned, already having seen the destruction through his Essence.

"Is there anything that Essence won't allow you to, see?" Seraphine asked without even turning her head towards him.

"Yes, a few like the Aether Lords. And for some reason Vaelthar, Lunaria an-…" Omnithara paused, at the last part, preferring to not speak of it.

"No need to complete that sentence, both of us knows how close both of you were." Thanara spoke, snapping Omnithara out of his memories.

"Yeah. But still, I understand why the Astral Sovereigns and Vaelthar but I still do not understand why Lunaria can not be seen through your Essence, or anything that happens when she is around of the area you are seeing." Seraphine asked, confused by Lunaria's unordinary ability to bypass Vision of Eternity.

"Let's just ignore tha-…" Omnithara paused, before letting out a sigh.

"What happened?" Thanara asked, confused by the pause.

"He is using Wrath Lord, Satanel…" Omnithara answered, with a deadpan look.

"OH WELL WHAT A SURPRISE! HURRY UP, BEFORE HE DESTROYS A TENTH OF THE PLANET LIKE LAST TIME!" Seraphine roared in hurry, as she boosted her flying speed by spreading her wings wider and creating a gust of storm behind for a large speed.

"Let's go quickly before he destroys the entire planet along with Vaelthar this time." Thanara suggested, as she increased her speed too.

"Terrible joke, he can control himself well even when mad." Omnithara replied back, also going faster.

Suddenly—

A flash of white light comes behind them, overtaking them from above. A speed this immense even sound felt slower.

"Ah, she is here huh?" Thanara asked, recognizing the energy that just passed them.

"Seems like it, because Omnithara was also startled by it suddenly which means it's her." Seraphine added, also recognizing it.

"I see… So, Lunaria caught up huh? I was wondering how did so many Annihilots died all of a sudden. It was her doing it." Omnithara spoke, also aware of what's going to happen as he continued.

"She took of her seal that suppressed her power, which only means one thing."

"She is not going to let herself lose another round against him."
