As I stared at the Alpha standing before me, I felt nothing but disgust.
I shot back, "The proof is standing right here. What truth do you think is missing?"
But Frank said without thinking, "Bianca is too kind to do something like this. Maybe you’re just trying to frame her."
"You are repulsive, Jacqueline," he snarled, before turning and leaving with the she-wolf in his arms.
His Luna, beaten and slandered, was now just a wicked liar in his eyes.
It was clear to everyone now that my mating bond with Frank was broken in all but name.
After they left, I was too drained, physically and emotionally, to stay. I dismissed the crowd and drove home alone.
The bruises from the fight ached, but what hurt more was the absolute emptiness I now felt for Frank.
That night, after everything that had happened, Frank once again did not come home.
The next morning, Bianca was at my door, acting as if she had just won a great victory.
